He left me broken. Now he's back and his apology tastes like sin

Zachary looked at him steadily. “The Lambert family is the wealthiest around, even twenty percent would suffice. Alright. Just rememberb, /bbI /bbtrust /bbyou /blike my family members. Don’t make me fegret putting my faith in you.”
Aaron thought to himself, “If Zachary Stone dares to betray me, I’ll make sure he pays an even heavier price than he does now.”
Zachary smiled tightly. “Of course.”
“Brotherhood? That counts for nothing when profits are at stake,” Zachary thought cynically.
Zachary wasn’t born yesterday. With ulterior motives, the two struck a deal.
In the Campbell Group.
“Mr. Campbell, your coffee.” The Campbell Group specifically hired several baristas to brew coffee for its employees.
Yosef was a regr coffee drinker, but this time, something about the taste struck him as off.
He took another sip. “Mr. Cooper,” he said, “is this coffee still made to my usual specifications?”
Hudson nodded. “It was prepared exactly to your usual specifications, Mr. Campbell. Is there something wrong? Does it taste offb?/bb” /b
“Something’s off.”
Hudson picked up the coffee from the table and sniffed it, but couldn’t smell anything. Looking puzzled, he said, “Maybe something’s gone off. I’ll have them brew a fresh cup for you, Mr. Campbell.”
“No need. Just toss it,” Yosef waved Hudson off, too bothered to wait for a new cup.
It wasn’t long after Hudson left that Yosef suddenly felt a tightness in his chest and found it hard to breathe. His hand on the desk clenched into a fist,
while the other tugged weakly at his tie, trying to loosen it.
Still gasping for air, Yosef yanked off his tie and dropped it onto the desk. His head felt heavy, and his vision blurred. As darkness crept in, he gradually
lost consciousness.
When Hudson returned, he found Yosef slumped over the desk. Hudson thought to himself, “That’s odd. I was only gone for a moment. How did Mr. Campbell end up slumped over his desk like this?”
Hudson frowned, thinking, “That’s not right. Mr. Campbell never acts like this. He’d never fall asleep at his desk.”
Hudson stepped closer and called out anxiously, “Mr. Campbell? Mr. Campbell?”
No matter how many times Hudson called out, Yosef showed no response whatsoever. “If he’s really just asleep, why won’t Mr. Campbell wake up?” Hudson thought, suddenly uneasy.
Hudson suddenly realized something was terribly wrong and immediately dialed 911.
The ambnce rushed Yosef to the hospital, where doctors ran a battery of tests. They confirmed he’d been poisoned, but couldn’t identify the bspecific /b
toxin.
Without identifying the exact poison, the doctors administer an antidote. But time was running out for Yosef. If the doctors dyed any longerb, /bbthe /bpoison could im his life.
“Please, doctor, you must do everything in your power to save Mr. Campbell. Whatever it takes. You have to keep him alive.”
“bDon’t /bworry, we’ll spare no effort,” the doctor said, then instructed the nurse bto /bassemble all specialists for an bimmediate /bconsultation.

bFrantic /bbwith /bworry, Hudson paced back and forth in the hospital corridor, sweat beading on his forehead.
Then it hit him. There was one person who might be able to save Yosef. Without hesitation, Hudson made a call. “Adam! bEmergency /bMr. Campbest beim poisoned and is unconscious at the hospital. Bring Skr ande immediately!”
Adam burst into tears the moment he heard his dad had been poisoned and was in aa.
Adam jumped off the couch, ran to his mom who was working, and clung to her leg. “Mommy, pleasee save Daddy now! If bwe /bwait bany /bblonger/bb, /bbhe /bmight die!”
Skr frowned. “What happened?”
“Sob* I don’t know either, Mommy! Uncle Hudson just called and told me! Let’s go, Mommy. Please hurry!”
With lives at stake, Skr didn’t hesitate. She dropped everything, scooped up Adam in her arms, and summoried the driver to take them straight to the hospital.
Skr was deeply worried about her son. She knelt down, gently held Adam’s shoulders, and repeatedly reassured him, “Adam, sweetheart, when you see Daddyter, you must stay calm, okay? I will definitely bring him back. Trust me.”
Adam replied distractedly in a panic, “I know, Mommy.”
