He left me broken. Now he's back and his apology tastes like sin
Oh King 30
bChapter /bb30 /b
“You’re staying at the Lambert family home?” Yosef narrowed his eyes.
“Is that a problem?” Skr snapped.
“Why are you staying there?”
“Because I’m a member of the Lambert family,” she said, shooting him a sidelong nce.
Yosef’s face darkened. “Skr, do you even know what you’re doing? We’re still married, and you’re already rushing into someone else’s homeb?/bb” /b
b“/bOr maybe,” he sneered, “you found someone else five years ago, which is why you disappeared all this time.”
Skr couldn’t help butugh at the absurdity.
All this from ba /bsimple address? She thought. They had been married, and yet he didn’t understand her at all. Or, he had never bothered trying to.
Without warning, Skr raised her hand and pped him hard across the face.
The sharp sound of the p echoed inside the car. The driver quietly raised the privacy screen.
Yosef’s tongue brushed the side of his cheek where she hit him. “You’re doing just fine, huh?”
“I’ve always been just fine,” Skr shot back defiantly.
Yosef let out a coldugh, his eyes glinting with fury. He reached out and gripped her neck. “You want to die?”
Skr dug her nails deep into the back of his hand. “Then do it. Kill me if you dare.”
Neither backed down. The more force he used, the harder she dug her nails into his flesh.
Soon, droplets of blood began to drip down, staining her clothes. Even as she struggled to breathe, Skr refused to yield.
Realizing she was on the verge of suffocating, Yosef finally let go. Skr stifled her coughs and lifted her head to re at him.
“You weren’t like this before,” Yosef sneered.
“The Skr from before is dead,” Skr said icily.
For some reason, a wave of loss washed over Yosef. He tried to grasp it, but the tighter he held, the faster it slipped away.
“Skrb…/b”
“Don’t call my name,” Skr cut him off. “You disgust me.”
Yosef snapped, “You think I’m disgusting?”
“Yes.”
“Great. Just great.” He lowered the divider and barked at the driver, “Stop the car!”
Then he turned to Skr, “If I disgust you that much, you shouldn’t want to stay in my carb. /bGet out.”
“Find time to finalize the divorce,” Skr said coldly and got out of the car.
She didn’t even know why the divorce hadn’t gone through five years ago, but it didn’t matter. They could always bfinalize /bbit /bbnow/b.

bShe /bhad bno /binterest in staying tied to a man like him–dirty, filthy, utterly beneath her. She couldn’t wait bto /bget away from him.
The car sped off, kicking up ba /bcloud of dust..
Skr covered her mouth and rolled her eyes at the fading silhouette of the vehicle. Then she hailed a cab and went home.
Once in the car, she checked her phone. The rification statement had already been posted, and public opinion was now leaning in their bfavor/b.
That matter was resolved. The only loose end left was Elianna, the one pulling the strings.
The analysis of the recording had alsoe back. It was genuine, but the person behind it wasn’t Elianna.
It was Elianna’s assistant. Apparently, after being fined by Elianna, the assistant had harbored resentment and used her name bto /bcause trouble.
She chose Skr’spany because the SlimEase capsule they developed was trending. If something happened, it would bdraw /bbhuge /battention. This would also help her frame Elianna in the process.
Skr instantly saw through the ploy–the assistant was a scapegoat Elianna had set up.
But that was fine. She hadn’t expected to bring Elianna down with this incident anyway.
Elianna would stir up trouble again. Eventually, she’d slip–and when she did, Skr would be ready.
Things finally returned ito /inormal. With the SlimEase capsule selling steadily, Skr turned her attention to developing her next new product.
