bChapter /bb310 /b

Adam curiously nced back and forth between Skr and Jamar, his face tense with clear displeasure.

Skr quickly exined, “He’s a new artist we just signed. You may leave now, Jamar.”

However, Jamar stood his ground. “Ms. Lambert, who exactly is this guy?” he asked.

Jamar thought to himself, ‘I thought Caden was my only rival, but now another one’s popped up out of nowhere.

Jamar’s gazended on Adam’s face–it bore a faint resemnce to Skr’s. ‘Could this kid be Ms. Lambert’s child? Hers and that man’s?‘ he wondered.

The thought set every rm off in his head.

Jamar was seething with anger. ‘Skr is the sugar mama I’ve set my sights on–why do these fools keep trying to take her from me?” he thought

“Jamar, you seem a little too interested in my personal affairs. Don’t you think that’s inappropriate?” Skr said.

Their rtionship was strictly professional–nothing more than boss and subordinate. They certainly were not close enough to discuss personal matters.

Jamar lowered his head, speaking in a subdued voice. “My apologies, Ms. Lambert. I’ve crossed the line. It was inappropriate of me to inquire about your personal matters. I’ll take my leave now.”

Before leaving, Jamar added tenderly, “Ms. Lambert, you mustn’t work on an empty stomach. Please don’t forget to eat the food I broughtb./bb” /b

Skr’s brow furrowed deeply. She had already said she was not going to eat. ‘Is this guy deaf or what?‘ she thought, frustratedly.

“Hey, wait-” Before Skr could tell Jamar to take the lunchbox back, he had already disappeared.

    Skr sighed.

Yosef reached out and took the lunchbox. “Is this one of those homemade lunches made with love?”

He scoffed sarcastically, then opened it. “Just oil and seasonings–nothing healthy at all. Adam and I brought you something prepared by the family’s family chef–far more nutritious than what that guy gave you,” Yosef said as he set Adam down.

Yosef removed arge backpack from Adam’s shoulders and carefully ced three lunch containers on the table: one filled with vegetables, one with rice, and another with broth.

Skr raised an eyebrow in surprise. ‘What is going on? Everyone seems eager to bring me food today,‘ she thought.

Curious, she asked, “What made you suddenly decide to bring me food?”

Adam pouted, looking unhappy. “Uncle Victor said you haven’t been eating well, so he told me to keep an eye on you.”

Skr rubbed her forehead. “That’s not true. Your uncle’s just talking nonsense.”

She was indeed busy and forgot to eat on schedule, but she still ate whenever possible.

“Hmph! Mommy isn’t behaving. You won’t have proper meals and even lie about it,” Adam said.

Skr forced a smile. “I really haven’t been skipping meals, Adam.”

Adam puffed out his cheeks. “I’m not listening to your excuses, Mommy.”

Skr sighed and picked up the lunchbox. Alright, I’ll eat. I promise.”

She took a bite of the food but almost immediately spat it out. “This is way too salty!” she eximed.

    Chapter b310 /b

bThe /bdish tasted like bit /bhad been rolled in a salt field–so salty it was bitter,

Skr popped open the broth container, hoping a sip of the broth would wash down the salty taste lingering in her bmouth/b,

Skr took a big gulp of the broth, her eyes popping wide open in shock and immediately spat it all out.

She thought the broth would help with the saltiness, but it turned out to be just as bad as the dish.

Skr frantically grabbed her cup of water and gulped down everyst drop, barely managing to suppress the awful taste lingering in her bmouth/bb, /b

‘This stuff is lethal!‘ Skr thought, still reeling from the taste.

‘Did the Campbell family chef really make this?‘ Skr thought incredulously. ‘This tastes shockingly bad- -no chef could possibly make something blike /bthis! How could Yosef keep someone who cooks this badly? Is there something wrong with his taste buds?‘

Still shaken, Skr looked at them and said, “If this is the standard of the Campbell family chef, I strongly suggest you go home and find a recement.

Adam nced nervously at his dad–Yosef’s face looked rather grim.

Adam asked cautiously, “Mommy, is it really that bad?”

Skr said with dead seriousness, “This isn’t just bad–it’s catastrophically awful.”
