The cameraman burst into tears and wailed, “Why the hell is this wild boar after us?b” /b
Skr suddenly had a lightbulb moment. ‘Wait a second. Something’s not right here,’ she thought.
“Split up,” Skr shouted.
Terrified as he was, the cameraman thought, ‘Skr just helped me. How could I possibly ditch her and runb? /bI am not that ungrateful.‘
“Ms. Lambert, I’m staying with you,” the cameraman insisted.
Skr’s expression turned grave. “That wild boar is after me. Staying with me is suicide. Get out of here now.”
The cameraman gasped in disbelief, “How could that be?”
“There’s no time to exin. Go get help. I’ll handle this,” she said.
The cameraman didn’t hesitate for long. “Ms. Lambert, wait for me. I’ll be back in a sh.”
He bolted as fast as he could, terrified that even a second’s dy might hold up the rescue.
In the blink of an eye, the wild boar charged at Skr. Keeping her eyes locked on the beast, she crouched slightly and grabbed a wrist–thick branch from the ground.
Vigers often came up the mountain to gather firewood, clearing away obstructive branches and logs to make their way through the woods.
These trimmings became Skr’s weapon against the raging boar.
The wild boar kept emitting low, guttural growls.
Neither Skr nor the wild boar dared to make the first move, locked in a tense standoff.
Victor ran until his legs gave out. When he finally caught up and saw the boar poised to attack Skr at any second, his heart was in his throat.
Without a second thought, Victor grabbed the shovel and charged forward, shielding Skr. “Don’t be scared, Skr. I’ve got you.”
His towering figure stood before Skr like the sun, instantly warming her heart and filling her with a sense of security.

“Run, Skr,” Victor shouted.
Skr backed away several steps, deliberately boar farther from Victor.

The wild boar quickly scrambled back to its feet, its eyes zing crimson as it fixated on Skr.
Skr released the broken branch, its splintered end dripping with bright red blood.
Skr quickly ripped off her shirt and wrapped it around her fist to make a makeshift knuckle guard.
The wild boar charged at her, snorting heavily. Skr mmed her fist straight into bits /bskull. Animals might have different weak points than humans, bbut /bthe head was always vulnerable.
The wild boar copsed to the side.
