Freya wasn’t done arguing with Skr yet.

Skr didn’t even nce at Freya. She turned around and walked away, leaving Freya standing there, trembling with rage.

Skr wandered around the campus for a while but soon grew bored. Deciding not to stay any longer, she walked out the school–gates and called bher /bdriver to pick her up.

The driver gasped, “Oh, Ms. Skr Lambert, you’re still at school?”

Skr nodded.

The driver exined, “Ms. Freya Lambert said you’d already taken a

ab home earlier, so I drove her back first.

“Sorry, we’re still on the road and I won’t be back for a while. I’ll have to call Ryder to pick you up instead.”,

Skr saw right through Freya’s petty schemes. Freya was still upset about what happened earlier and just wanted to give her a hard time.

It was just some harmless little mischief, and Skr didn’t want to make a big deal out of it or trouble the driver. With a shrug, she told him, “Don’t bother. I’ll grab a cab myself.”

When she got home, Skr saw Freya chatting with a young man.

His sharp, chiseled face looked intimidating. His eyes seemedzy, but there was a dangerous glint in them that made it hard to look at him.

But Skr was undeterred. She locked with that intimidating gaze, not a hint of fear in her own.

ke smiled faintly, “Why are you just standing there? Come on. Have a seat.”

Skr sat across from him, studying his face. “ke or Joshua?”

When Skr first returned, Yana had mentioned she had three older brothers in the family.

But at that time, they were all away on businessb, /bbso /bnone of them were home.

Perhaps Yana wanted to wait until they returned to give Skr a proper introduction. She hadn’t even shown Skr any photos of them.

So Skr couldn’t tell whether the man before her was ke or Joshua.

ke smiled and came to Skr’s defense. “She’s never met me before, so it’s perfectly understandable she didn’t recognize me.

As Freya spoke, her eyes grew redder, tears welling up.

She was a total liar. That sweet, obedient act was just a facade. Inside, she had a venomous heart.
