The reward that Abigail, having the anchor King talent, a 4 star job that Allen and team had helped him on acquiring, sought was an «Anchor».

(Heh, he really did ask for it huh.  I knew he would choose that Orichalcum Anchor.)

The dragonkin that Abigail commands had also trained in tandem with Allen army, improving their skills, hitting the max level, and then job transferring subsequently. He had noticed a look of envy in Abigail's eyes when Abigail saw one of the generals in the Human Realm equipped with an orichalcum weapon.

He had offered to share some supply of orichalcum too, but on the account that they're busy collecting spirit stones, and amassing funds for academy town's reformation, Abigail repeatedly declined the offer.

In the Divine Realm, which was often so lacking in resources, orichalcum was the very 'ore of god.' His reasoning was that as the leader of dragonkin, and as the warden, it was ideal that he draw a clear line on needs and wants.

Though, now sandwiched between the command of gods and Heavenly King, he couldn't deny it anymore.

«Anchor, is it? ...This is a bit troubling.»

"T-Then pardon me."

Abigail sought anchor since he couldn't think of anything else at such a short notice, and now, the words of the Great Spirit God brought an expression of hesitation to him.

«I am ever so eager to grant blessing and abundance, but to offer a weapon is something I hesitate in. So I doubt I can conjure a weapon that would satisfy your request. What about you, Mormor-sama?»

Since he would be granting the reward to Allen and others, he explained his strength might not be enough. Well, putting aside the forte, Great Spirit God was still the high-ranking god, so it wasn't entirely out of his ability to create a strong weapon. However, this scenario, too, was something he had been intentionally putting out because of his conversation with Allen.

«...Hoho. I can't say I am good at that either. If we compare our strength, you and I are barely apart, Great Spirit God. And Gran-san is exhausted, having delivered the divine technique and sacred artifact. How about elemental gods, do you think either of you're up to the task?»

(Heh, Mormor seems to have read the situation huh. Though it appears this is just a convenient excuse for himself to avoid using divine power. Oh, yeah, dragonkin and him had barely any contact.)

The other option to fulfil the wish was Beast God Gran, who undoubtedly was the finest choice among the other presence, having also bestowed the divine technique and sacred technique to the Shea. But he appeared languid and tired.

«Hmm? I have bestowed my strength to Dogora. So, as much I would have stepped in, giving it your request, Mormor-sama, the situation binds me. What about you, Aqua?»

«Unfortunately, I can't follow up for the same reason as you. I have granted my blessing to Ignomas. Though, I think Gaia should be a better pick when it comes to Anchor.»

(It's either water god, or earth god. But I think spear is more in the line of image for a water based weapon, like fisherman's harpoon. Anchor is also more in line with the hammer, which is Earth God's forte.)

Allen's mind wandered off to the trident of Poseidon that he had read in Greek mythology.

«Hey, cut me some slack. I'm stripped down to bare nothing after my Earth Labyrinth is conquered. You should come and see, I am barely scraping by.»

(Uh, thank you very much for Allen's Sword!)

Allen immediately murmured the praise when he heard Earth God's words. After all, Earth God had not only conferred the divine technique, sacred artifact, and even blessing to Blacksmith Habaraka, he had even spent his divine power till the limit to create a sword unique to Allen.

Looking through the reward, saving the Wing God, the rest of elemental gods had blessed Allen's  comrades one way or another.

"I don't know but, there's kind of a layer of fatigue in God's expression..."

"Just what has the people of the Human Realm sought to cause this situation."

"They did say they hunted Nestirad. it's, I guess, a testament to the trials they'd gone through."

A buzz spread among the gathered nobles and the face of Heavenly King as they noticed an indescribable exhaustion on the Higher Gods and four elemental gods.

But, amidst the rows of gods, specifically among the four elemental gods, there was but one god who had not yet conferred any sort of trial. The God of Fire raised her voice, and called out to the said god, their hands supporting their head on the back side and pleasantly appreciating the sky, acting as if they'd nothing to do with the situation.

«Hey!»

«......»

But, despite the beacon of Fire God, they continued to gaze at the scenery beyond the ceiling of the sacred place.

«Hey, I am calling you, yes, damn it! Ninril, it's your time to deliver the reward!!»

«Eh, me? Ugh, that sounds pain.»

«I agree with Fire God. You alone had not given out any rewards. We're not you ought to present a sacred artifact of course.»

Following the Fire God, Water God nodded in affirmation.

«Hoho, so it's settled then.»

«We'd not push you up, but it seems there's no other choice. So, you're the only one we can rely on, Ninril-san.»

Soon, even the two high-ranking gods added to the notion, and it was basically confirmed the reward would be given by Wing God.

«A reward from Great Ninril...?»

«Is there any problem, Heavenly King?»

Great Spirit God asked back when he heard Heavenly King's whispers.

"Ah, of course not. I was just saying it's great. Warden Abigail-dono is truly the pride of dragonkin! Yeah, absolutely wonderful!!"

('-dono' huh? Hehe, and he used to address without any due honorific. But it seems like people of Divine Realm aren't very pleased with the idea. Oh well, this must be done however to propel the reputation of dragonkin to where it should've been.)

For the inhabitants of Divine Realm, the Wind God was the most revered deity.

In the floating, vast land of the Heavenly Sandal Kingdom, the Wind God's power drove windmills and watermills, which in turn powered machinery for threshing grains and running aqueducts for water supply. The blessings of the Wind God were of enormous importance to them.

Now, a reward from the very Wind God they all worshiped was about to be given to someone who was not one of their own but a leader of the dragonkin community. This was something of great significance.

From here onward, they would be required to invite Abigail as the warden for the meetings, or if they'd to commission subjugation of spirit beast. And as the bearer of weapon, granted by their revered Wind God, this would entail a proper attitude against him.

And at last, everything suddenly began to click in its place to him. As the one with high intelligence, it dawned on Heavenly King that Allen must have requested the presence of four elemental gods in this Soul Rite Festival, expecting the situation to take this twist.

«Hmm, fine. So, Abigail was it? Come closer, yup, here. Haaa!!»

"A-at you command!!"

The Wind God, stepping forward from the altar, extended both hands, beginning to concentrate divine power. A small vortex of wind formed, gradually molding into a weapon with a handle---resembling a long, heavy anchor.

It was neither an axe nor a spear, but an anchor designed to crush enemies under its sheer heft. The surface of the anchor was engraved with wind patterns, and the weapon seemed to be enveloped by a breeze.

«Here you go. Wing Crusher. Use it well.»

«Wing Crusher's Ability»

Attack: 30,000

Agility: 10,000

Element: Wind

Magic: Wing Hammer, Wing Shield

(Oh, that's a wonderful weapon. It's a pity we don't have any anchor users in our party.)

Allen whispered as the information about the weapon transmitted to him. He had summoned Merus, equipped with the Angel B «Magnifying Gaze», and took a quick appraisal glance at the weapon before promptly reverting him to card.

"I, I am rejoiced beyond words..."

Abigail received the Wing Crusher politely.

*Clap-Clap*

Allen took the lead in applauding for him, and within a heartbeat, the present crowd followed, the Heavenly King being first.

«...Well then, all the good deeds have been rewarded. I presume this is about time to call the Soul Rite Festival over.»

"Please wait a moment. One thing still has yet to be rewarded."

"Hey, Allen. What are you doing?"

Great Spirit God relayed his word to wrap the ceremony, but was interrupted by Allen, a pre-planned motion. However, and obviously, ignorant of the situation, Heavenly King tried to put him down.

«...This is quite a weird thing to say, Allen-san. I believe I said everyone has been rewarded, or maybe you can explain?»

(Now it's time for the main act huh. As much as the Great Spirit God maintains a neutral stance between the gods of the old world and the new world, he wouldn't easily offer rewards on his own.)

"I would like to shed light on Beastkin's effort as well. They'd played just as much of an integral role, so I was hoping they would get something in return for their support."

«Hmm? Is this what I had been summoned to do? In this case, the reward should indeed come from me after all.»

Though he hadn't been informed, Beast God Gran needed but a glance before he played along in the conversation. The conversation between Allen and Great Spirit God had been a dead giveaway, making him realise even the earlier scenario was to specifically get reward from Wind God.

"Of course, I do not say to do impossible. I stepped in because I just know a way that would easily facilitate the situation, with no one bearing the exhaustion again."

Allen spoke with an impish smile tugging on his lips.

"Certainly. You see, in the Spirit Paradise, there is an overwhelming surplus of Drops of Life to the point that it's threatening to flood the entire garden. From what I've heard, this is due to the dragonkin fulfilling their duties and hunting down many spirit beasts. The Beastkin from the Paradise of Primordial Beasts made a great contribution to this effort as well."

"What... What did you say?!" the Heavenly King gasped, standing stunned with the people of the divine realm.

«I wouldn't say my domain, the Spirit Paradise, is in such dire straits, but, continue.»

"If things continue as they are, the Drops of Life will lose a beacon to gather at. However, the Beastkin, who have been tirelessly hunting and expanding their territory in the desolate lands overrun by spirit beasts, need an abundance of life to thrive in their homes. Could we perhaps create a reservoir in the Paradise of Primordial Beasts to store it?"

«I see. A reward is necessary for the result, then," the Great Spirit God mused.

"Mormor-sama, what do you think?"

"Why ask me? Well, I understand what you're implying. So, you want to put the Drops of Life in the Beast Paradise, huh? Beastkin has indeed done great work, so there's no reason to refuse. Hmmm, let me think... Well, I suppose it's fine."

Mormor stroked his chin thoughtfully before finally giving his approval.

«That's a favourable turn then.»

The Great Spirit God said with a nod of gratitude.

(He clearly is the hardliner for New World Gods after all. It was great that he nodded.)

As the one god who's being revered in every realm, and by every race, seeking his blessing for the fruitful harvest, or holding Harvest Festival in gratitude of successful harvest, the nod from God of Harvest held a great significance to bring the «Drops of Life» to the vast land where gods of Old World had fought. Moreso when he was just next to Creator God.

«But, you see, it might not be easy.»

"What may you mean?"

A tension ran between Allen when God of Harvest spelled his subsequent words.

«I would have to ascertain how much to offer as it's my duty to report this to the Great Creator God. I wonder, had you predicted this in your script as well?»

God of Harvest quietly stared at Allen, ignoring the Great Spirit of God.

Along with the gaze of God of Harvest, Allen could felt a bottomless darkness reaching out to him. He shuddered when he took a glimpse of the darkness lurking within the unfathomable eyes.

"What may you be saying, I wonder? However, isn't it a great opportunity to inspect the desoluteness of Paradise of Primordial Beasts yourself?"

«Hoho, that you're correct.»

God of Harvest nodded with a chuckle.

And thus, with the naming ceremony of the First Angel Homaru playing out, Warden Abigail receiving the reward straight form Wing God, and Beastkin receiving a portion of Drops of Life for their effort thanks to Allen's negotiation, the curtain drops on the Soul Rite Festival, spurred by the subjugation of the disaster that was called Nestirad in the Divine Realm.
