Vol. 12 - Chapter 738 - A Heinous Opponent
The chanting of buff spells echoed throughout the 1st floor of Space-Time God's territory like a chorus.
The Demon King Army had no one to oppose there. The floor had been uprooted and shattered till its last inch. The magic ships and golems, once placed tastefully to give an elegant aesthetic to the space, now scattered around the floor.
«What a bore. They didn't even withstood a single attack from Gandira—hmm?"
Ordo exhaled a disdainful sigh, his broadblade resting on his shoulders. Though, just as he had thought his opponents were all settled, one of the golem, whom he thought to be mere decoration, displayed a movement.
—*Clatter*
It was done by Luvanka and Leon. The two used their monstrous strength to lifted the remnants of golem, and from under it Allen, helding Pecktan in his arms, and Space-Time God—now bearing wounds all over with the loss of severed hands from down elbow more prominent—appeared.
While his body was battered, Allen, who had high physical resistance stats along with his own resistance, was completely safe. Similarly, Space-Time God seemed to be bearing grave injury, however Gandira was far from enough to bring him down.
(But we lost Makris and Kuwataro from the rearguard huh. It's definitely going to be a struggle it seems, even with a full party.)
Allen would typically never unbind the synchronisation whenever he brings out his summons. Synchronisation also would sever if Allen and his summons were more than 50 meter apart.
But those were problems of the past, back when he was a servant with limited intellect. Now, with each summon only requiring around 200 intelligence to maintain synchronisation, he could keep the bond active across all his summons without strain.
Synchronisation was the very fundamental aspect of Summoners to expand one's viewpoint, requiring not an ounce of mana to switch perspective between their summons.
The blast earlier had forced him in daze, but he soon recovered, and his first action was to allocate all his attention to confirm the viewpoint of his summons. This was how he figured they'd been buried in the wreckage, and similarly, he also felt his connection severed with Kuwataro and Makris.
Sophie's buffs were competent, but in the current situation, just one person's support wasn't going to cut out, further enlarging the absence of Roselina and her buffs.
He had hoped to prioritise healing, but he also thought of postponing it in favour of more resistance buffs should enemie's doubled down on them.
(They should've not gotten enough distance with the enemies promptly invading their rearguard. The rest were at least safe since Magla took the brunt to protect them.)
Just as Allen figured, Magla appeared from the massive wreckage of magic boats like a giant beast emerging from a collapsed building, his body shining in a silver gleam—a reflection from the equipment he doned, manifested from his awakened skill «Dragon King's Soul».
"Sophiarone-sama, are you safe?!"
"Thank you very much, Magla-sama."
"Phew. Nice save, Muton, and you too, Magla. Thanks a bunch."
With a robust body, tough dragon scale, and huge wings, Magla was like a fortified bunker when he curled himself, preventing even the cloud of dust from reaching Formar, Sophie, and Luck. To further add in to their security, the Great Spirits had preemptively felt the danger with their enhanced perception, and took their action to secure the rearguard's safety.
Magla briefly glanced at the three, affirming their safety to Allen via the synchronised vision. He put aside the incoming gratitude-filled word for the later day, and glared at Kyubel, positioned behind the Supreme Commander of Demon King's Army.
«Hmph, were you saying something, Kyubel?»
«Oh, hey, wait. You're the Dragon God Magla! Right, hadn't I dispatched you to wreak havoc on the Divine Realm? So you've been captured to become a summoned beast huh. I must say, Allen-kun, you surprised me by getting not just 'Three Beasts' as summoned beasts, but even him. Terrific—wait, is that...?»
(Huh, so Magla and Kyubel know each other? That track—Kyubel’s been scheming all over the human world. And Magla, having risen to Dragon God, might know more than he lets on. They’re not saying it, but there's definitely some history between them. Huh? He’s looking at Loen now…)
The 'Three Beasts' Kyubel mentioned were Makris, Kuwataro and Luvanka—the sacred beasts who had been revered by the masses for their roles in propagating humanity.
«Hmm? You're...»
«What? Are you also one of my acquaintances?»
Noticing Kyubel's gaze on him, Leon replied back.
Kyubel was once the First Angel Kyuparas of Arbitrary God Auxilion. Though he might not be a member of Demon King's Army, he used to be basically a servant who listened to god.
«Oh, no. No. You just appeared familiar, but then again, it's impossible you're him.»
Kyubel felt he might be approaching the true identity of Leon, but his guess appeared so absurd even to himself he gave a shake to his head, throwing away that conjecture.
(Aww, what a pity. I thought I could use their connection to break the current deadlock, but he isn't believing his own guess, so it seems impossible. Pecktan, recover everyone's health. —Well then, we're damned if they release their onslaught at once. Kuwataro, can you check out the situation? Sorry, you just got summoned again, but I can only count on you.)
Allen felt turning a part of the Evil God (Heart) into a summoned beast was a huge boon for him—no, for the humanity faction that could change the tide for them when the time comes. So, when he realised he might not be able to break through taking advantage of the revelation, it would be better to keep the truth from coming into light so half-heartedly.
«Bru~n!»
«Understood.»
Pecktan promptly activated his skill «Recovery Mushroom» and shed off the pores from his head, healing the party members.
Allen wrecked his brain on how to break through the blockade while Demon King Army, consisting of 1000 high-ranking demons and Fiend Kings, besieged them in fan shape formation.
Meanwhile, receiving Allen's instruction, Kuwataro activated «Appraisal» using four of his eyes.
On the other hand, while Allen and his team members were buried under the wreckage of destruction, Fiend Kings, the demons, and the archdemons were finished casting their buffs. Fiend King's stats had jumped 1.5 times, while archdemons' stats hovered around 150,000 values average and demon's hovered around 100,000.
Demons and archdemons weren't even an opponent of Allen or his party members, however what they couldn't make up by quality, they made up by quantities.
Allen had his summoned beasts, and he could bring them all out, but even then it would be impossible to break the current dilemma when their party was missing most of their members. Still, Allen forced himself to think. He couldn't let the demons do anything as they pleased when Cecile and Commander Larappa were stranded in the domain of two gods.
(Surprisingly, Space-Time God's arm has yet to heal completely. Did Ordo become that strong in the meantime? ...Wait, he was saying something like Hell's Strike. Speaking of, the one demon Helios had thought he killed turned out to be Demon King Army's Supreme Commander. Are they related somewhere?)
«It appears the demon had used the darkness element in his earlier strike, and darkness is the antithesis to the power of the divine. Fortunately, I should be able to heal completely in a bit.»
"It would be helpful. We're already outnumbered, so any help is going to be pivotal."
«The help goes both ways. My wife's safety is at risk here, and your help is much appreciated.»
Despite his arms being severed by Ordo, Space-Time God resolutely stood up, displaying his stance to fight the transgressor.
«Oh boy, I really do hope you're not thinking you can pull a fast over us with a non-combatant god by your side. Anyway, if you're done with all your so-called ted-talk, shall we move onwards? Have you thought about how you're going to take on us, Allen-kun?»
Kyubel inquired in a skippy voice, and it was obvious he was enjoying every bit of the situation even though the mask covered his face.
«Good Kyubel, I would very much prefer to not waste our breath on trivial banter. You'll be following us to the Divine Arena. The three sisters aren't easy to deal with if they appeared all at once.»
"Alright, fine. Let's do your way then, O' Supreme Commander!»
Ordo's command met with Kyubel's sarcastic tone as he saluted in compliance.
«Gandira and Bask will be coming to attack the Heavenly Kingdom. Make sure to keep an eye out on the situation, since it's possible our objective might be somewhere in the city. Mara and Virdiga, you're to handle these pests. Let them know the consequences of opposing the Demon King's force thoroughly.»
Ordo passed his command, not bothering to give a second glance to Allen and team who were nothing more than 'pests' in his perception. And the way he flat out announced his instruction seemed to hint at their readiness, perhaps long decided on their execution.
Allen silently watched the situation unfolding, helding himself from charging ahead without a plan. They would only be wasting their potential when the opponents were far too strong tham them
«Kikiki. I can finally throw around to my heart's content. It would be fun to smash the god!»
«You took the words from my mouth. We're not leaving anyone alive! It's time to paint this place with their blood! Bloodshed!!»
Busk gave a menacing giggle, and Onuba, the demon sword, showed its agreement.
«Hey, not all of them, Bask, Onuba. I want you to remember what our objective is, alright? Gandria, if you see them going haywire, put them in their place anyway!»
«Gyuuuurriin!»
Fiend King Gandria, the giant orichalcum golem, echoed a mechanical noise as if showing its understanding to Ordo.
«Oh, right. We don't need that wooden doll. Kikiki.»
(So they're splitting into three teams? And their leader probably has some plan by making sure Bask et cetera doesn't kill everyone... Kuwataro, use Tracking Sight!)
Ordo must have said all he had to as he split the 6 Fiend Kings into three teams and made his move toward the Divine Realm.
One group was to stay here and deal with Allen and his team, while the later two teams would be dividing on their respective tasks. Similarly, the demon and archdemons split into three teams.
Being the bearer of four wings and four eyes, S-rank summoned beast Kuwataro had the unique ability to active skill proportional to the number of eyes he had. Of which, the three skills were «Farsight», «Appraisal» and «Tracking Sight».
He didn't even glance at Allen’s group again. As far as Ordo was concerned, they were beneath his attention—just another set of obstacles to be crushed underfoot.
Allen, aware that their enemy far outmatched them in raw numbers and strength, didn’t rise to the bait. He stayed still, watching, waiting for the right moment.
“Heheheh! Finally! Time to let loose and turn those divine freaks into mush!” Bask shouted, practically trembling with bloodlust.
“Yeah! Kill them all! I want blood! BLOOD!” roared his cursed sword, Onuba, its voice echoing through the air in manic hunger.
But Ordo’s command snapped through the chaos with icy precision.
“Not all of them. Bask. Onuba. Remember your objective. And Gandira—if they lose control, feel free to dispose of them both.”

[Features of Kuwataro's Unique Ability]
—Foresight.
In the lack of nay obstacle, this skill allows Kuwataro to capture the distance as greater as 1000 kilometer, while also grasping the details perfectly in a flash. However the mount of information was Intelligence dependent.
—Appraisal.
Allows Kuwataro to see through one target's name, age, status, element proficiency, resistance, buff, and debuffs.
—Tracking Sight
Allows survellance from rought five meters behind the target. Offers human-level sight and hearing, gathering real-time environmental data.
This skill last for one month from the moment of activation.
—4th Eye
Allow Kuwataro to use either of Farsight, Appraisal, and Tracking Sight simultaneously up to 4 times.
(Kyubel managed to repel the appraisal sight, but what about Ordo—ohh, it worked? Thanks the heaven he is muscle brained. And it worked on Busk without a problem as well. So as long as debuff aren't struck to his defensive magic tool, it should be alright.)
Affirming that the two target, Bask and Ordo, abotu to leave the Space-Time God's region, Allen prompted Kuwataro to use his special skill «Tracking Sight». This skill allowed caster to track down the movement of target without requiring themselves to chase after. And since Allen was in synchronised state, the details Kuwataro captured was also shared with him.
«Then, Shinonom, move us to the Divine Arean! And transfer Bask and Gandira to Heavenly Kingdom!! And you demons, I expect you all to follow the command as intruscted.»
«Hehe! Just a momeeeeent, and... done!»
*Vrrrr*
«M-my system...»
Meanwhile, a bitter expression flashed on Space-Time God's face as he helplessly watched Shinonom meddling with his administration system, and soon, magic circles appeared beneath Ordo and the demons.
"No, you're not going anywhere. The citizens of Heavenly Kingdom wouldn't be able to hold them! And there are also Kurena and other back at Divine Arena!! We must stop them, Allen-san!!"
Sophia tried to intervene, her poins valid. However, an oppresive pressure dawned over the team. Their intention were clear; they must be prepared to face the full force and get killed ultimately if they took any action now.
"...We need to first save our wool from here, then we will think about it."
"A-Allen-san?! But what about...ugh, you're right!!"
(It's obvious from their indifferent reaction. They's must have had some sort of assurity that we wouldn't jump on them.)
Allen expression scrunched for the bitter pill he had to swallow, and amidst that, the teleporation system made its work.
*Whooosh*
Within the blink of an eye, everyone saving the members meant to pin down Allen and his disappeared from everyone's sight. Subsequently, the magic circle also vanished.
T/N - Heya everyone, it has been a while since the update had been quite unacceptable. I hadn’t meant to, but a sudden situation messed up my schedule. A close relative went through chemo, but to no avail, and after a few months of struggle, they passed away last month. The mourning lasts for nearly two weeks here, and I just found myself back recently.
Either way, I should be maintaining a healthy schedule starting today. Presumably at a quicker pace.
