Chapter 243: A Dream
CHAPTER 243: A DREAM
Riven turned around to face Soren, their bodies still tangled in the cozy warmth of the bed. Soren’s hand lingered around Riven’s waist, cuddling him and holding him close.
His dark, sleepless eyes were locked onto Riven, full of unspoken thoughts, just waiting for the next move.
Feeling the weight of Soren’s gaze, Riven finally slipped his arm around him too, pulling him in tight. It felt good to share the warmth, to reciprocate that closeness. Soren let out a content sigh, pressing his face into the soft crown of Riven’s head. The sweet scent of Riven’s hair wrapped around him like a gentle blanket, and the way Riven’s fluffy wolf ears brushed against his cheek sent warmth flooding through him.
Riven could feel Soren’s breath against his hair, slow and steady. He also heard Soren’s heartbeat being pressed against his chest, and it made everything around them fade away.
Eli stepped out of the manor and felt the cool wind against his face and body. It was a contrast against the heat he was feeling. He felt like he was on fire.
He came here to treat Riven but ended up learning a secret. Well, not much of a secret, Riven rarely hid the fact that he had a lover... And the lover was Soren... Of all the people, Riven managed to get in bed with the Master of the Snow Leopard clan!
"Did I really hear that right?" he muttered under his breath, shaking his head as if to clear the thoughts swirling in his mind. Riven’s words echoed louder with each step he took down the cobblestone street.
A threesome with the Alpha and Soren! The very idea sent warmth spiralling through his cheeks. He couldn’t help but picture the three of them together. His cheeks immediately turned red, and he felt like he was on fire!
"Riven, you never cease to surprise me," Eli chuckled softly, his heart racing at the thought of what that must have been like. But what startled him more was the teasing suggestion that Riven had made—to let Eli join in. The mere idea made him want to combust!
Eli shook his head again, trying to dispel the vivid imagery that wanted to take root in his mind.
Eli pushed through the day as a healer with ease. He did not think about what Riven had mentioned at all!
He focused on his patients, pouring his energy into healing, but every so often, a blush crept onto his cheeks as he recalled their earlier conversation.
Once the sun dipped below the horizon, he felt relieved. He can finally head home.
He freshened up, splashing cool water on his face, trying to wash away the remnants of the day and the heat of his thoughts. As he looked into the mirror, he barely recognised the man staring back—his cheeks still flushed, his eyes sparkling.
He never looked this refreshed after a day of hard work!
Still, he was exhausted, and the moment he slipped under the covers, he fell asleep.
But it was far from a peaceful sleep! In his dream, he found himself in a lush, enchanted forest, the air thick with the sweet scent of blooming flowers and the soft sound of a distant stream. The moonlight filtered through the canopy, casting silvery patches on the forest floor, illuminating a figure waiting for him.
"Eli," Riven’s voice was like silk, smooth and inviting, as he stepped forward from the shadows. His eyes glinted mischievously, a teasing smile tugging at his lips. Eli felt his heart leap at the sight of him
What was his friend doing here?
Riven was wearing a white tunic, that exposed his chest, and his hair was adorned with golden laurels
"Riven," Eli breathed, his voice barely above a whisper. He wanted to move, but the dream would not let him. He was frozen in place, his legs felt like jelly.
"Come," Riven beckoned, his hand extending toward Eli. Without hesitation, Eli took it, he felt all tingly when he felt Riven’s touch.
They wandered deeper into the forest, laughter bubbling between them as Riven guided him to a secluded place. Riven turned to face him, the playful glint in his eyes shifting to something deeper, more intimate.
Riven’s hand that held Eli’s moved with a deliberate grace, gliding up Eli’s arm, tracing the contours of his skin until it came to rest at the nape of Eli’s neck. With a swift, confident motion, Riven pulled him close, claiming Eli’s lips in a way that sent a rush of warmth flooding through Eli’s body.
Eli gasped, the surprise of Riven’s intensity momentarily causing him to step back, but Riven wasn’t willing to let him escape. With a firm grip, he placed his other hand behind Eli’s back, keeping him anchored in place.
This was his friend! How could he-
He felt like the world around him was spinning, it was just the two of them, the moonlight was a spotlight on them, and it was like this place was their private stage.
Riven’s kiss deepened, and it left Eli gasping for air. He felt like he was drowning in the kiss. He found that his hands fighting against his will, they found their way to Riven’s shoulders and grasped them like their life depended on it.
Riven pressed closer, their bodies fitting together like pieces of a puzzle, each movement perfectly hit the places that would make Eli squeal.
Eli could feel Riven’s heartbeat against his chest, a steady rhythm that was in contrast to his own erratic heartbeat.
He felt all his senses activated, he never knew a dream could feel so real! It got to a point that he could not tell if it was a dream or not. Was he lucid dreaming? Was he kissing Riven back because he wanted to?
He swore that he could smell Riven’s scent, that undeniable smell of pheromones.
Riven pulled back slightly, his eyes searching Eli’s, a mix of mischief and sincerity dancing in his gaze. "You have no idea how long I’ve wanted to do that," he murmured, his voice low and sultry, sending another shiver down Eli’s spine.
"I-"
