CHAPTER 198: THE SPINELLI WAY

Zack walked in and checked with Clayton; Homer’s temperature was at 108° but had not gone beyond that. At 112° Genmen start developing brain damage, but the constant work of Clayton and care he had kept it from exceeding 108°.

"Clayton, I’ll get you some help—looks like you’re getting tired and you’re getting close to your time. This big guy has to be on his feet for that baby to arrive; you’ll need him every step of the way," Zack observed.

Clayton thanked Mr. Z for all that he had done, but he felt deep inside that everything would be okay for Homer. Zack walked out, told the guys to keep up the good work, and went to go find Donnie and Constantine. Clayton needed someone to look in on him, and when Homer came out of the fever, he was going to be hungry.

As Zack was headed over to Donnie’s place, he decided to swing by the clinic and check with Lex. Color him surprised when he looked into the room and saw Lex run a scan on no other than Willie. Zack shook his head and thought he was seeing things, so he walked around to go into the exam room to be with him—after all, he was his great grandson, and if he was carrying, a great grandfather had the right to know.

Zack eased up and sat down beside the young man who was watching the monitor. "Lex, I can’t be pregnant, I just can’t be—my dad is going to kill me. It only happened one time, and we had just met. Damn these Genmen urges," Willie said anxiously.

Willie jumped when Zack laid his hand on his shoulder. "It’s going to be okay—we will work through this as family, and the young man that’s responsible for this will do the right thing by this child," Zack assured him.

"Grandfather, he’s a townie. We met at Donnie’s when I went up for a malted and fries. One thing led to another and before I knew it, I was flat on my back in a bed at the motor lodge and my knees were beside my ears. He was in me and tore me up until he reached his climax. He was available, I was hot to trot, had an itch and he scratched it. I didn’t think it would even take—it just shows you how stupid I am," Willie confessed.

"Okay Willie, I’ll set you up in a roommate situation with another young genman that is going through the same process as you—alone, pregnant, and no baby daddy around. At least not until I get through. What’s his name, young man, and where does he hang out?" Zack asked.

"I don’t want to get him in any trouble, Sir. It was just as much me as it was him. I called him a couple times but he said fun was fun but he didn’t want to repeat that again. I didn’t get to tell him that he got me pregnant—he hung up and he won’t answer his phone number anymore. He works at the construction company for Mr. Jake. Please don’t get him fired—jobs are too hard to come by and him being unemployed isn’t going to help anyone. His name is Vincent but he goes by Vinny—dark hair and sexy blue eyes, good build and a great kisser," Willie explained.

"Okay boy, get it together here. Get your picture of the baby, then go get in the backseat of the runner and we are going to the township, and I will find Mr. Vincent. I’ve got a few choice words of my own that I am going to tell that young man," Zack declared.

Willie knew not to question anything when it came to Mr. Z and his temper, but that would be the least of his worries—he still had to tell his dad, and Robbie wasn’t going to take this quietly.

Zack picked his phone up and dialed Jake, told Jake to have a certain young man by the name of Vincent, a.k.a. Vinny, at the office in town and he would arrive shortly to have a major discussion with the young snot head. The next number dialed was to Tim—he was told to come to town to the construction office and wait outside along with Robbie. They had a little bit of work to do and it might get a little bit rough, but no one was to get hurt. Just scare the holy shit out of a certain person.

Zack arrived in town and dropped Willie off at Constantine’s for a burger, fries and a malted, then he went to Jake’s construction office. Robbie and Tim were outside in the other runner, totally clueless to what was going on.

"Boys, inside you’ll find roller chairs, and sitting in the chairs is a nice-looking human. I want you two boys to sit on either side of him, very close. And just follow my lead—this is my show and I’m going to show you boys how it’s done in the real world because one of these days y’all will be running the Z1," Zack instructed.

Spotting Vincent wasn’t hard—he was good-looking. At least Willie had that much going for him; he got the good ones. Zack nodded his head toward where the guys were supposed to sit down, and the way they blocked Vinny in, he couldn’t get up—he had to remain seated.

Zack smiled and walked up in front of Vinny and introduced himself. "Young man, my name is Zachary Spinelli. I own the Z1 ranch and I’m in charge and take care of everyone that lives there. My charges get to come into town on Friday nights to enjoy things that humans take for granted. About 3½ months ago you met one of these charges, and it seems the two of you shared a lot more than a malted and fries."

"I meet a lot of people in town all the time and we have fries and we have a shake and we do other things, so what’s so important and what’s it to you?" Vinny replied in his arrogant attitude.

"Well Vincent, it seems on that particular night you took him back to the traveling inn and he shared himself with you—seems that it was his first time. You got what you wanted and halfway through the night left. Now we have a little problem on our hands and it will arrive in about 5½ months," Zack explained.

Vincent bristled up and got loud. "I don’t care what any lying Genman said—I’m not going to get stuck with one of those critters calling me father. If he got himself knocked up, it’s because he didn’t take precautions, some method of birth control, because I only do it raw."

"You poor ignorant and uneducated human," Zack chuckled. "You didn’t learn anything in school or you would know that there is no birth control other than condoms or abstinence for Genmen. And since you only do it raw, you are going to be a father. And as far as the young man being a liar—I don’t have to worry about that. He may be a little shit at times, especially when he was growing up, and he’s had his little ups and downs, but my grandson Willie would never lie to me."

Robbie didn’t look at Vincent—he just wrapped his arm around the young man and started to squeeze him. "You took my Willie to bed, took his innocence, and had the nerve to call my son a liar. Tell me you’re not that stupid," he growled.

"No Robbie, play nice—he’s your new son-in-law, or at least the father to your future grandson. If you hurt him too bad, he can’t work, and he definitely can’t support his child. Which is exactly what he’s going to do—Jake already has all of his schedules full of work," Zack spoke up.

Willie came bopping through the front door, not paying attention, and walked into the office in the middle of a standoff. He looked to his left and saw Vincent seated between his dad and his uncle Tim. He attempted to make a great escape, but Robbie’s arm closed off the doorway.

"Willie, did you let this human take your innocence and leave behind his givings which are now developed into a child?" Robbie was red in the face when he asked his son.
