CHAPTER 205: SUCK IT UP, BUTTERCUP

"After the first time, we laid there for a minute. He started getting very bad cramps and asked me to rub his stomach to help with the burning. He said he had never had anything like this happen before, and after a few minutes they were gone. So I made love to him four more times. We were going to do it once more when the security staff found us getting ready to get together. Talk about a buzz kill."

Eddie was sitting there with his head down, crying, when he looked up at Mr. Zack. "Eddie, are you okay? You look a little bit green."

"I’m starting to hurt again and it’s getting harder to catch my breath. Ain’t never hurt like this before, not even the first time after my transition breeding. But I’m not due for another 2 months for my cycle."

Zack looked at Jeremiah. "Boy, help him to the couch to lay down so he can relax. And start rubbing where he’s hurting—gently rub it and it’s going to be fine."

"Now I’m going to tell you two right now, I’m not disappointed in you. What’s happening here is something that does not happen often. When a pure blood gets around another male and he smells the other male, it can become intoxicating for both. Eddie, you smelt fresh wood and a forest, and that was appealing to you. Jeremiah, you smelt lavender and vanilla fields, and that’s what was appealing to you. What happened was a mutual mating—both of your bodies were in tune with each other and were attracted to each other. You could’ve been on opposite sides of the boulevard and when you got wind of each other, you would’ve gotten together. There’s nothing that either one of you did—this is something that nature took over your bodies. And I can tell you right now, it was a successful mating. We’ll have to wait a little while so that Lex can do a scan to make sure, but Eddie, if I know Genmen—which I do—in nine months there are going to be two precious boys."

Jeremiah was sitting there with his mouth open, his hand playing upon Eddie’s abdomen, when a gentle hand touched him on the shoulder. He turned and looked up and saw Celeste and nonchalantly said, "Hello, mama, how you doing?"

He turned to look back at Eddie when he realized that it was Mrs. Pirillo who had her hand on his shoulder—it wasn’t an apparition or anything else. He looked back at her. "What are you doing here, Mrs. Pirillo? I didn’t know that you were going to be here today. I have really blown it, haven’t I?"

Celeste patted him on the shoulder. "If your mama was here today—rest her soul—she would be so proud of the young man that I see today. We don’t always get to choose when babies come along because they’re a gift to us, the most precious gift there ever was, and it looks like you got two on the way. When your friend here gets to feeling better, maybe you should take him home and let him rest some more, or at least take it easy for the rest of the day on the festivities. Take great care of him because he’s going to have two beautiful, strong sons for you, young man."

Jeremiah looked at Celeste. "You’re not upset or mad because this is a unique situation here?"

"I could never be mad at you, Jeremiah. When he went through the conception process, you were right there holding his hand and caring for him just like anyone should be. It’s going to be different for you, but it’s going to be fine because the special ones are wonderful."

About that time, Vincent came barging into Mr. Z’s office wanting to know what was up and where was Jeremiah at—was he in trouble? Following him was Willie, equally concerned.

When Willie saw the position that Eddie was laying in and Jeremiah was absentmindedly still rubbing his lower stomach, he knew what was happening. He grabbed hold of Vincent’s shirt sleeve and directed him toward the other corner where his mother was standing.

Vincent almost passed out when he saw his mom. He apologized to Mr. Zach for barging into his office like he did and being rude.

Celeste walked up to her son and took his face in her hands. "So this is what you do with your spare time? Making babies and not telling your mama? Shame on you! I have to come all the way here just to find out that I’ve got a grandson on the way. Don’t you try to deny it because I know he is carrying—I just didn’t realize it was yours until now. You will do the honorable thing, and don’t you even think about anything else. You know I will use my spatula." She tilted her head, kissed her son’s cheeks, then walked over to where Willie stood. "So, when is the date that he makes an honest Genmen out of you? Because my grandson will not be born with a black mark on his name and be shamed by his parents."

Vincent was surprised at his mom’s attitude. "You’re not upset with me that I have conceived a child with a special one?"

Celeste, in her spicy style, replied, "Much better a special one than an old worn-out slut from the neighborhood. This grandson will always be special. I have other grandchildren, but this one—he is going to be my favorite. I can’t wait to get back to the neighborhood to rub it in all those old bitties’ faces. My son has brought fresh bloodlines to the family—honorable bloodlines—because my family, the Pirillos, are the first ones to have a special one in their fold. Now I’m rested and I’m ready to go see this exhibit, you know the one starring the one, the only Tim the Ultimate Genman."

Zach started laughing. "Tim, I don’t think you’re going to live this one down. You’re going to be in the spotlight for a very long time. So suck it up, Buttercup."
