CHAPTER 102: CHAPTER 102 AN HONEYMOON VACATION I

Back to the journey, the Benz crossed a high pavement, then swirled before entering what seemed to be a lower ground, and right at that ground was an enormous field.

The field was massive, and inside were people growing different types of crops. Daniel was amazed because he had never seen such beauty. The sight of the field deserved to be studied—the variety of plants, the harmony of their colors—if beauty had a name, this was it.

Draven too was enamored by the scenery as he watched through the glass window. Alexander and Xyle, however, didn’t look too surprised, meaning they had probably been here countless times.

"What a beauty!" Daniel finally commented, and Xylander smiled from the corner where he sat. At least his effort seemed to be paying off because he knew Daniel wasn’t easily impressed. The last time he heard such words from his mouth was during the wedding, when he decorated Daniel’s room. This was only the second time he had seen him praise anything.

What a complicated person.

"Let’s just reach our destination and your mind won’t remain the same," Xylander assured, grinning from ear to ear.

Daniel, who had grown tired of gazing at the field, picked up his novel—one of his new favorites. It was a boy’s love story, and damn, it was interesting. As marvelous as the field was, his attention quickly drifted, and he returned to the world of his book.

Seeing that the person he was trying to impress had turned his attention elsewhere, Xylander’s smile faded instantly.

"What a bummer. One thing about Dan is that his attention doesn’t stay long on anything except books, of course. Unless you can give him something that can hold him long enough to make him forget his books, I think that means you’ve won," Alex suggested, and Xyle let out a loud sigh.

Here came the challenge—making Daniel fall in love with him within ninety-nine days—yet nothing seemed to be happening except the pregnancy announcement. Their relationship had been rocky lately, so he wanted this honeymoon to be the time Daniel would fall deeply, madly in love with him, enough to stay forever.

"I understand your pain, friend, but it’s not too late. I hope you have a list of things you’ll do together?" Alex asked while still steering the wheel. His eyes stayed on the road, careful as they approached a sharp bend that could cause serious accidents.

Xylander nodded affirmatively. He had written a wish list—something that sounded childish—but at this point, he didn’t care. So far, he had fifteen planned activities for fifteen days, which he believed was more than enough.

As much as he needed this to work, he also wanted Draven and Alex to join in—it would be more special if they all did it together.

"Saying that as if you won’t follow me, Alex. We’re doing this together. We’re all going to get the boy in the end, so don’t worry," Xylander smiled, and Alex shared in it.

Minutes later, what welcomed them as they parked in front of a garden was a spring. The spring was beautiful—filled with butterflies and small, cute animals running around. Trees formed a shade over it, making the place cozy even in the hot summer, though Daniel still doubted they were in one.

Signaling that they had arrived, Alex came out together with Xylander. Draven followed next, opening the door for Daniel to get out.

Daniel thanked him with a nod and walked closer to admire the spring. Kneeling, he scooped a handful of water, realizing it was chilling cold.

Dear Lord, how?

Alexander moved beside him and squatted, pointing at the edge.

"In the evening like this, the spring turns cold—very cold—only at that corner. The middle part stays warm, but the sides are freezing," Alex explained.

"But in the morning and afternoon, it’s warm water, and you can relax in it. Makes it a perfect vacation spot, doesn’t it?" Alex giggled, but Daniel still found it strange.

It was beautiful, yes—but he wasn’t entering that. No one knew this, but he had a fear of deep water and had vowed never to go near one.

"A pity I won’t enter. I don’t do pools or any kind of water body," Daniel stated matter-of-factly, stepping away before he accidentally slipped in.

Alexander’s smile wavered. What did he mean he didn’t like pools? Who didn’t want to swim? That alone was absurd.

"You can’t say that. How else are you supposed to enjoy the honeymoon?" Alex wondered aloud. No matter what Xylander told him, he was already losing hope.

Daniel shot him a glance before turning to where Xylander and Draven were discussing, making the two young men rush toward him.

"Any issues, sweet hubby?" Xylander asked, and Daniel sighed.

"Is this the only thing you guys planned here—swimming? Because if that’s it, let’s go back. I won’t enter that water or any pool. I’m saying my own," Daniel’s serious tone left them stunned.

Xylander turned to Alexander, whose spirit seemed deflated. Daniel had dashed their hopes before anything even started.

"Nope, don’t listen to Alex. There’s plenty to do without a swimming pool," Xylander said, and Alex’s brow arched.

There was? Like what? Because, in his mind, vacation was all about swimming and fun. Oh jeez, this was getting complicated.

Draven decided to save the situation.

"Boys, boys—have you forgotten what vacation is about? It’s to loosen up, so don’t come squeezing your faces like some expired burger. Let’s go inside the villa. We could start by cooking and reading some books."

And with Draven’s words, Daniel lit up.

"Oh, great! That’s a marvelous idea, you’re a genius" he exclaimed, rushing over and planting a quick kiss on Draven’s forehead.

"I am?" Draven blinked, wondering what exactly he’d said that was so brilliant.

Daniel then stood in their midst, hands on his hips, looking like a rich boss lady.

"Now, the baby is hungry and needs nicely made scrambled eggs with freshly squeezed grape juice. That’s what I want you to make," Daniel declared, and the three men blinked like cornered prey.

Alex began glaring at Draven. Was he alright? Why put such ideas in Daniel’s head? Now Daniel wouldn’t let anyone else cook, and he’d drag them into the reading part too.

Who among them even liked reading? He sure didn’t—it was boring as hell.

"Hmm, I just remembered I have a friend who can cook a sumptuous dinner, so I’ll just call him," Alexander said, taking out his phone—but Daniel quickly grabbed it and pocketed it.

"The baby wants food made by his guardians. So, aren’t you men up for the task?" Daniel’s eyes swept over them, arms akimbo.

Xylander started laughing nervously, soon joined by Draven and Alexander, until all three were laughing at nothing in particular.

Daniel was appalled. Should he be worried? This wasn’t normal.

"You can’t make me forget about the meal, guys. I’m not that gullible," Daniel said sharply, scattering Xylander’s plan before it could even form. But Xylander quickly switched tactics.

"So, Alex—how about that recipe your mother used to make years ago? Can we have it tonight?" Xylander asked, turning the tables instantly.

Alexander’s eyes widened. Him? Cook in the kitchen? No way. Even if the world was ending, he wasn’t going to do that.

"You’re all delusional because I’m not going in there—and definitely not staining my clothes with food materials. Count me out. The person who brought up the idea should cook instead," Alex tried to push the task onto Draven, but Daniel wasn’t having it.

He stepped forward and gently touched Alexander’s face, tracing down to his chin and lips.

"Knight in shining armor, won’t you make your princess a delicious meal for me and my unborn baby?" Daniel purred, his soft feminine voice carrying both power and sweet persuasion.

Xylander and Draven exchanged shocked looks as Alex’s expression began to change—anger melting into a soft blush that crept to his chin, making him appear slightly feminine.

"No, I’m no knight..." Alex grinned faintly, still basking in Daniel’s touch.

"You’re my personal knight. So, Alex dear, make something for me now. I’m hungry—your princess is hungry," Daniel said sadly, and Alex immediately held his shoulders, drawing him closer.

"Worry no more, your knight’s here to the rescue. I’ll make you a very good meal that’ll suit your taste perfectly," he promised, and just like that, the stubborn man ran like a madman into the villa, heading straight for the kitchen.

Xylander and Draven’s eyes almost popped out of their sockets. Alexander—betrayal at its finest! So all this happened just because of a simple touch? Daniel’s touch clearly wasn’t ordinary.

Daniel gave them a sly smile, radiant and knowing.

"Let’s go inside before Alex burns down the place. He needs supervision. And about what I just did—being an omega comes with power; you just have to use it. I don’t know why others act like submissive rags, but me, Daniel Lancaster, I don’t do such," he declared proudly.

And like an iconic, sexy diva, Daniel strutted into the villa, swaying his slender hips as the two men stood speechless behind him.

A disaster awaited them—and Daniel—as the kitchen soon turned into a complete battlefield.
