CHAPTER 109: CHAPTER 109 WALK OF CHAOS.

Behind Daniel, the three men stood upright, eyes scanning the kitchen wall as they salivated at what the two chefs were cooking.

Draven, who was the first to notice the men, wondered if they were servants. Like seriously—what kind of servants walk around shirtless and looking that dashing? It felt out of place.

"So these two are the so-called servants?" Draven asked Xylander, who wasn’t even listening. He was already drooling at the dish that looked ready for consumption, licking his lips unconsciously.

It was embarrassing, but the scent of the food was driving them all insane.

Norman, who was in charge of setting the plates, had just placed the silver dishes on a golden tray when he turned—and froze. He got so scared seeing the three men squashed together like sacrificial lambs that he stumbled back, nearly falling.

His movement caught Daniel’s attention. Standing from his seat, Daniel approached them with a mix of disbelief and irritation.

"Boys, don’t tell me food made you all this way. Is that how long it’s been since you ate? I’m the one who’s pregnant and even I haven’t acted like this! Stop it—you’re embarrassing me."

Daniel snapped them out of their trance, and Xylander was the first to blink back to his senses.

"Sorry, Dan. The scent... it’s something I’ve never perceived before," he confessed. Daniel felt incredulous—it was really their first time experiencing something like this?

Thrilling, yes. He himself could cook, though he never enjoyed it. He only ever stepped into the kitchen during that old hag’s orders back at the palace.

"Wow, coming from a rich person, I’m truly shocked. Even you two?" Daniel asked, turning to Draven, who nodded apprehensively. It was indeed the first time he’d encountered something so intoxicating.

Alex only shrugged. He wasn’t much of a foodie, but even he had to admit—the chefs got him good. Getting closer to his companions, he signaled to the chefs to bring in the food. Let his husband and the others enjoy the thrill.

The chefs nodded and began serving the food on silver platters. As they arranged it, Daniel pushed the men aside before they scared the poor chefs into running off.

"Damn, I just want a bite..." Daniel whined. Alexander smiled—at least Daniel wasn’t irritated today. He really did wake up on the right side of the bed. Xylander joined him, slipping a hand around Daniel’s waist.

"Come, let’s wait for them in the dining hall," Xylander urged softly. Daniel followed without protest, though he still hoped to talk privately with the chefs later in the garden.

Once seated, Draven broke the silence. "Now that we’re here, can someone tell me why the servants—like those chefs—are shirtless? That’s absurd, considering their position."

Xylander groaned. This man and his endless questions. Still, he couldn’t blame him; even he had wondered the same.

"Does anyone else want to know?" Xylander asked—and immediately, every hand went up, including Daniel’s.

Daniel grinned. "Oh, don’t judge me, Xyle. I like gossip too."

Xylander sighed. Great. Surrounded by nosy people.

"It’s just the culture here," he explained. "They don’t cover themselves much, including the females. Their dress code is beyond imagination—women can walk around in bikinis and no one would question them. That’s just their rule."

Daniel stared. "That’s it? Nothing more?"

Xylander laughed. "Oh dear, that’s all. Now where’s the damn breakfast?"

Just then, a cart rolled in, and everyone looked up in awe. Before them was an array of sumptuous dishes that could make anyone drool.

Draven’s eyes nearly popped out. "Is this paradise? I’ll finally taste what heaven’s like!"

Thomas, one of the chefs, approached carrying a huge tray with a massive fish. The glistening dish was placed in the center, and all eyes—especially Daniel’s—were on it.

"Darlings, this one’s mine, so hands off!" Daniel warned, already possessive. His hunger was flaring up, and his appetite was something fierce.

Alex eyed the fish greedily, but his attention shifted when a huge golden turkey was placed beside it. There were five in total, each one glistening beautifully under the light.

Draven couldn’t resist temptation any longer. While everyone awaited more dishes, he stretched for the tuna fish, sliced off a chunk, and stuffed it in his mouth.

The scent filled the air, and Daniel turned sharply—only to see his precious fish halved.

"You traitor! Give it back!" Daniel snapped, but it was too late. Draven’s mouth was like a black hole—it swallowed the massive fish whole, leaving everyone in shock.

Who even swallows that much at once? Alexander wondered if Draven was even human.

Even the chefs froze, about to warn them about the fish’s bones, but it was too late. Norman muttered under his breath, "Well... that’s nothing you see every day," before resuming his work.

Soon, sandwiches, bread, eggs, salad, and beef were brought in—each dish more delicious than the last.

Xylander took the first bite, gave a satisfied nod, and the others immediately followed, devouring the meal like hungry wolves.

Daniel’s appetite was outrageous. A whole pile of sandwiches vanished in minutes. When Xylander reached for some, they were already gone.

"Where are the sandwiches?" he asked, looking up—only to meet Daniel’s innocent emerald eyes. Of course.

Meanwhile, Draven finished the entire tuna fish. Daniel, too annoyed to argue, turned his focus to the turkey and tore into it.

Xylander and Alexander ate modestly; the food was good, but watching Draven and Daniel eat like beasts was another story.

By the time Draven tore through two whole turkeys, his stomach was already protesting.

"Finally! I was scared you might start eating me next," Alexander muttered, glaring at him. Draven just wiped his mouth with a napkin and leaned back, satisfied.

Daniel, after consuming nearly everything, slumped in his seat with a sigh. "That was almost the best meal of my life..." He took a sip of juice offered by Norman, groaning from fullness.

The chefs bowed and began clearing the plates. Daniel smiled at them kindly.

"You both are amazing. I love your cooking—hope to see you again soon. Remember what we discussed." He winked, ignoring the curious eyes of his companions.

As soon as the chefs left, the atmosphere shifted—jealousy and possessiveness filled the room.

"What did you discuss with them? And why thank them? It’s their duty—they’re servants," Alexander said flatly.

Daniel turned to him sharply. "Is that what you think? That servants aren’t human?"

Alex fell silent immediately.

Xylander stepped in, trying to defuse the tension. "He didn’t mean it that way, Dan. Just... be careful. Sometimes, when you’re too kind, people take advantage. That’s why we keep a line between us and them."

Daniel blinked. Wow. When did I become the kind one here?

"Now I’m a benevolent soul and you all are what? For heaven’s sake, I hate being locked up in one place without talking to anyone! Ever since I entered your lives, I haven’t spoken to anyone else but you three. Is that normal?" he snapped, rising to his feet.

"So because I want to socialize, you all suddenly act like I’m betraying you? Seriously?" Daniel lashed out, ready to storm off—but Draven caught his wrist.

Pregnancy hormones were stirring chaos again.

"I know it can be lonely," Draven said gently. "I was too, all my life. So don’t mind them—talk to whoever you want. Just be careful. Not everyone is who they seem. Some might want you dead."

Daniel calmed a little, leaning into Draven’s steady hand.

Xylander frowned. What did I even say wrong? He was only trying to protect him. After all, he couldn’t forget how that doctor almost killed Daniel.

Alexander nudged Xylander discreetly and whispered,

"This is your chance. I’ll distract Draven. Take Daniel out—show him that Xylander Wolfe loves him with all his heart. After that, he’ll fall even harder."

Xylander’s ears perked at that. A brilliant idea.

"I’ve heard you," Xylander announced. "To make up for it, I’ll take you out today. There are plenty of fun places nearby. Just you and me."

Draven opened his mouth to object, but Alexander quickly shoved a folded napkin into it, whispering,

"Don’t you dare—unless you don’t love your dick anymore." His hand gripped Draven’s crotch threateningly, and Draven froze.

"Good boy. Let them have their moment," Alexander murmured smugly.

Daniel lit up with excitement. Finally, a chance to explore without restrictions! He dashed off to get dressed—putting on baggy jeans and a cute cropped top that revealed his flat tummy and navel.

When he came down, Xylander took his hand, and instead of using a car, they decided to walk to make it more fun.

They stepped out through the gate, strolling down the open pavement near a wide field. Laughing and chatting, they didn’t notice a shadow following them—a biker trailing quietly behind.

Then, without warning, a glass vial flew through the air. It hit the ground, shattered—and its liquid splashed onto a figure.

A sizzling sound echoed. Smoke rose.

A scream echoed—with skin melting as the liquid burned through...

Xylander who saw this let out a devastating scream.
