CHAPTER 138: CHAPTER 138 A PLAN TO ESCAPE II

"I love you, Daniel. You know how much I adore you, so you have to do this on your own," Alexander hissed as the pain in his hands grew more intense.

His blood had turned black, and hope seemed to be the last thing on his mind. All he wanted was to make sure Daniel got the fuck out of this lion’s den.

"Alex, don’t give up! Don’t you dare leave me behind..." Daniel began to shed a tear which rolled down his cheek. This wasn’t what he had in mind when the honeymoon came, and he was worried about the others.

He could feel that Xylander was alive, but what about Draven? Nothing came to him, and it made his pulse quicken with terror as fear began to consume him.

It can’t be. Draven was okay; he just had to believe that everything was fine, and it would turn out fine.

"Now, one warning: no matter how you escape, don’t you dare go empty-handed. In a drawer underneath a table close to that old piano of junk, you will see a gun. Carry it and handle it just as I taught you," he then whispered. "You won’t be able to escape if you just run because he has two deadly animals here. I don’t know how he got them, but he is training two hyenas and they’re as deadly as hell. So arm yourself. The key for the drawer is always carried by Matt himself, either inside his pocket or on his neck like a pendant. If you could snatch it, then this is all good." Alex summarized it like it was easy, but Daniel shivered as he thought of how the hyenas would devour him if he doesn’t make it.

"No, I can’t do it alone, Alex..." Daniel murmured.

"I need you,and the baby does too." Daniel tried moving closer, to feel the body of Alex, at least see if he was still fairing better there even if the chances are low.

"You don’t need me, Daniel. This is why I trained you. And didn’t you say you’re independent? Show them that you’re no slave under any man. That same resilience you put in back at the Adrian mansion, do it here again because it’s not just your life but the babies as well," Alexander answered before coughing and gasping as blood splattered out of his mouth.

Please, this can’t be. He would never be at peace if he leaves Alexander, noo...

"This is at least what I could observe when you were still unconscious. And about the exit, there is one underneath this floor," he revealed, and this made Daniel gasp.

A secret passageway? How doesn’t Matt know?

"Yes, he doesn’t know. And since I have been standing here, I can feel an echo underneath this ground which shows the existence of another passage way." Another clue which made Daniel’s heart bubble. And when they were still talking, footsteps began to come near.

Daniel immediately turned silent. It was the blond guy; he came to pack off the plates on the table and used the opportunity to look at the prisoners before him. Daniel saw the look and immediately recognized him—he knew those ember eyes and shining blonde hair anywhere—but why can’t he remember? And it seems like the boy too recognizes him because he let out a gasp before returning to arranging the table like nothing ever happened.

Slowly the boy left the scene and Daniel turned and saw that Alex wasn’t talking anymore.

"Alex!!! Alexander, you boy, listen to me and stay alive! Don’t you dare leave me!" Daniel yelled, hands tightening on the chair as his body vibrated.

No, he shouldn’t die. This was all his fault. It was his fault that this was happening; maybe if he didn’t kill the woman this wouldn’t have happened. How was he going to help Alex now?

A car beep came from outside the house which made Daniel’s eyes snap open. Alexander still wasn’t awake and it made him cry softly.

If he could smash his head on a nearby wall and wake up from the horror he was in, he would gladly do it; this was terror in another form. When the car stopped its engine, the clicking of heels began as the visitor began marching in.

Then, gently, a knock came. And when the knock sounded, inside, Matt began to laugh at something he couldn’t understand and he walked out of his room going to open the door. For whatever reason Daniel could hear whatever they were discussing in the room, just not clear enough, and to his dismay he overheard Matt telling his father that he would take him to his bed tonight and kill him the next day. That he wouldn’t bury them after his acts; he would dispose of both him and Alex on the road for the public to see and examine his handwork.

"Finally decided to make an appearance, Nicole," Matt spoke, and Daniel’s whole body turned heated.

Nicole Shelton was here? Then things were indeed going bad for him. How was he going to deal with that annoying woman? Gush, he couldn’t stand her.

"Never going to miss a good show. And there is nothing more appealing than watching your enemy get butchered right in front of you, all the groveling and begging. I want to see it live," Nicole stated and Matt nodded.

Then together they both walked into the alley where he was strapped and stopped right in front of him. Nicole with her sharp gaze began to scrutinize him.

"So it’s true. You’re really pregnant!!" she spoke out nonchalantly.

Immediately Daniel’s blood ran cold. No! This was bad; it was worse now. How will he escape if this mad man acknowledges that he was pregnant? Then his plan was getting screwed.

"This isn’t some sort of joke. How can he be pregnant?" Matt asked, finding it ridiculous, but Nicole just frowned.

"A friend of mine snapped and showed me the pregnancy test results. And right now he is heavily pregnant," Nicole revealed.

Matt began to laugh out loud, his face turning more venomous, horrifying, and malicious.
