HELP! These Girls Wants To Kill Me
Chapter 80
CHAPTER 80: 80
Listening to her crazed laughter and her chilling words, Yang Ze’s heart trembled for a moment before he regained his senses.
He took a deep look at the woman sitting in front of him before letting out a sigh.
"If this is your idea of getting me away from her, then you are doing a really bad job."
He didn’t hold back this time and continued his speech. "Besides, why would I trust you over Xiao Ruolan? Unlike you, she didn’t rush to kill me or tear me into pieces."
"Besides... hasn’t she saved me from you once already?"
Listening to Yang Ze, Lin Yue just raised an eyebrow.
"Oh! So you were conscious?"
"Not quiet." Yang Ze replied with a shake of his head. "Only for a few moments when I heard you trying to kill me and Xiao Ruolan saving me from you."
After Lin Wan died and his head was almost split in two, he fell into a coma. During that time, he would occasionally gain consciousness before losing it again. It was during one of those times that he heard her conversation with Xiao Ruolan and how she almost killed him. After that... he found himself in Lin Wan’s dream.
At first, Yang Ze thought it was a bad dream, and perhaps the conversation between the two women was merely a fragment of his imagination.
But now seeing her reaction, he knew it was the truth.
This made his opinion of Lin Yue drop even further.
"I wasn’t really going to kill you, you know." Lin Yue just gave him a shrug. As for whether he believed her or not, it made no difference to her.
"Yeah... The same way you are trying to save me now." Yang Ze just shook his head with a chuckle.
"You don’t believe me." Ignoring his smug reaction, Lin Yue rested her chin on the back of her palm as she looked at him with a gaze full of pity.
Yang Ze felt a pang of discomfort, but quickly shook his head. She was just talking nonsense. Why would he believe the woman who almost killed him over the woman who saved him? Even if his head was kicked by a donkey, he wouldn’t make such a stupid decision.
"I see." Lin Yue just nodded in understanding before speaking further. "Then how about I tell you something interesting?"
"Hmm!" Yang Ze didn’t know what game she was playing, but he was more than happy to accompany her.
Were it before, he would have definitely avoided any and all conversation with her and even kept a respectful and humble tone, but now... Now he could finally talk to her like a normal human.
"That thing on your shoulder." Pointing to the butterfly on Yang Ze’s shoulder, Lin Yue asked in a soft voice. "What do you know about it?"
"Eh!?" Yang Ze was taken aback by such a peculiar question. He didn’t know how the topic of their conversation shifted from him and Xiao Ruolan to the butterfly on his shoulder. But he still decided to answer honestly.
"I know it is called Spiritwing and that it is a half-demonic beast."
He didn’t mention its skills or its possible evolutions. It was something exclusive to himself. There was no way in hell he was going to talk about it to another person.
"That’s it?" Lin Yue asked again.
"Yes, that’s it." Yang Ze just nodded in response.
"I thought so." This time, Lin Yue’s voice was full of pity. She looked at Yang Ze like she were looking at a tormented person. Other than pity, Yang Ze could also see a tinge of gloating in them.
"Since an uneducated idiot like you doesn’t know what it is, then let me enlighten you." Straightening her back, Lin Yue’s voice turned cold as she spoke further.
"That thing is definitely called Spiritwing, and it is a half-demonic beast. It also has several skills, one of which is called Sevenfold illusion."
Yang Ze didn’t interrupt her but kept his ears open. He knew about these things already. He just didn’t know why she was narrating it to him.
"Its strength is nothing special. I mean, even a child could squash it to death."
"But do you know, there is a prophecy related to it?"
This time, there was a mocking smile on her face as if she was gloating over Yang Ze’s misfortune.
Yang Ze only felt a ’thump’ in his chest as he listened to her.
"The prophecy is that one day a ’Devil’ from a different world will descend here and destroy the Azure Dragon Continent."
"And that Devil would be accompanied by the Spiritwing."
*BANG
In that instant, Yang Ze’s vision almost went black. The ’Devil’ from a different world... wasn’t it referring to him? After all, he was a person from Modern Earth.
And the butterfly on his shoulder... It was the damn Spiritwing.
Wiping away the non-existent sweat off his forehead, Yang Ze cast a quick glance in her direction and, upon seeing her sitting there with a smile, he almost cursed out loud.
He was sure that she wasn’t joking with him. There was definitely the so-called prophecy.
It was at this moment that he finally realised why the women of the Heavenly Sword Sect were casting such a strange and weird glance towards him.
It wasn’t because of his looks or height. It was because of the damned thing on his shoulder.
"Wait..." As if remembering something, Yang Ze hurriedly spoke out. "Just because someone has spiritwing doesn’t mean they are the so-called devil."
He didn’t know if the prophecy was true and he was going to destroy the continent, but he was sure that there were definitely other people who owned the Spiritwing.
"Yes." Lin Yue replies with a nod.
But before Yang Ze even had time to feel relief, she continued further.
"That’s why cultivators will kill anyone who made a contract with the Spiritwing."
Her words instantly sent a chill down Yang Ze’s spine. For a moment, he couldn’t react. He didn’t even know what to say. He just stood there reeling with shock.
"Tell me..." The smile on Lin Yue’s face only widened. "Who bought you this spiritwing?"
She knew that the man in front of her was a poor pauper and didn’t know anyone in the entire sword sect. There was only one person who would willingly pay for it.
"IMPOSSIBLE." Yang Ze exclaimed in disbelief. Why would Xiao Ruolan want to harm him? If she truly wanted to harm him or kill him, she would have done that a long time ago. There were plenty of opportunities to do it; why would she need to go through so much?
"You think so?" Lin Yue just let out a soft chuckle, but she wasn’t finished.
"How about I tell you a story?"
"Hmm?" It was already hard for Yang Ze to make sense of everything that he had just heard. He instinctively nodded to her in response.
"When we were children, Lin Wan, I and Xiao Ruolan often used to play together." Speaking till here, Lin Yue’s eyes flashed with reminiscence before she continued.
"One day, when the three of us were wandering around, we found a small abandoned puppy."
"It was just lying under the grass, shivering with cold... hungry and tired."
"The three of us decided to take care of it. We wanted to take it as our pet, so we reached out to it, hoping to carry it and bring it back home."
"You know, the puppy was tiny... perhaps it was just born. So, when Xiao Ruolan tried to lift it up, it tried to bite her."
"Of course, it didn’t have the strength to actually hurt her, but it didn’t stop it from opening its mouth and biting Xiao Ruolan’s hand."
Speaking till here, Lin Yue went silent for a long time.
"The bite, of course, didn’t hurt her. Not even a scratch."
"After that, Xiao Ruolan just took it home and began to take care of it."
"She would feed it precious milk and meat, would always keep it by her side, and when the three of us gathered, she would bring it out to play with us."
"Months passed, and almost a year later, the once small dog was now fully grown."
"It had grown from a feeble, helpless pup to a strong dog that always stood by Xiao Ruolan to ensure her safety."
"And then one day..."
Speaking till here, her gaze towards Yang Ze turned soft.
"One day, she chopped off the dog’s legs, hung it from the tree upside down and skinned it alive."
"But she didn’t let it die."
"Even when she removed its fur and skin, she kept on feeding healing pills to that thing to keep it alive."
"And then..."
"She threw it in a pot of boiling oil."
Speaking till here, her gaze turned cold as her chilling voice sounded in Yang Ze’s ears.
"She did all that to a dog that merely bit her hand. It didn’t even leave a scratch, much less injure her."
"She treated that dog this way for something that it accidentally did in its childhood."
"How do you think she is going to treat you? The one who, together with that bitch Saintess, stripped her, humiliated her and even slapped her breasts and buttcoks."
"What do you think she is going to do to you?"
"....."
"....."
A defeating silence enveloped the house as the two of them looked at each other.
Unlike Lin Yue, who was smiling, Yang Ze’s back was drenched in cold sweat. Till now, he believed that Xiao Ruolan was just a woman with a cold expression who didn’t know how to express herself.
She even acted all shy around him like a maiden falling in love for the first time. And he... He ate it all up without a shred of doubt.
Yang Ze didn’t know how to respond. His mind had stopped working.
The explosive information that he received from Lin Yue was enough to turn his world upside down.
Who would have thought that the seemingly normal person like Xiao Ruolan would be the craziest out of all?
His eyes were stuck in the direction of her door, afraid that she would jump out anytime.
"Here." It was at this moment that Lin Yue threw a small token towards him.
"Take it. This will help you get out of the sect."
"Take it and run... Don’t look back, don’t ever come back and if by any chance Xiao Ruolan catches you... just kill yourself."
"Dying would be mercy compared to what she will do to you."
Yang Ze caught the token absent-mindedly before Lin Yue tapped his shoulders, bringing him back to his senses.
"GO NOW."
Swallowing a mouthful of saliva, Yang Ze immediately turned around and rushed out of the house. He didn’t think she was lying. After all, how could a person like Xiao Ruolan fall in love with an ordinary man in his late thirties who was half her size with no redeeming qualities? It certainly wasn’t because of his personality.
The more he thought about it, the more Yang Ze realised that he had almost fallen into a pit.
The seemingly normal Xiao Ruolan was the most twisted one, and the ’crazy’ Lin Yue, who wanted to kill him, was the one saving his life now.
Thinking about it, his speed quickened as he finally reached the Market.
"You again?" The familiar guard was standing there, but this time there was a tinge of anger in her voice.
But before she could even speak a word, Yang Ze just threw the token to her. He didn’t know if it was going to work or if Lin Yue was just playing a joke on him.
But the next moment, he had his answer.
"Okay. You can leave." Throwing the token back to him, the guard just moved out of the way.
If Yang Ze still had some doubts, then after seeing this, those remaining doubts vanished into thin air, too.
He just carefully placed the token in his robe. After nodding to the guard, he was about to rush down when he felt someone placing a hand on his shoulder.
’Shit.’ Yang Ze’s first instinct was that Xiao Ruolan had come for him. He was even ready to fight with all his might to find a way to escape. But the voice soon made him breathe a sigh of relief.
"The heavens are just."
It was a single sentence that was completely out of place.
Confused, Yang Ze turned around only to see the familiar, enchanting face of Cang Yue looking at him with a smile.
"You..." Yang Ze didn’t know why she was here, but at the moment, he was in no mood to have any conversation.
"I need to go."
Without waiting for her to speak, he tried to free himself from her hand, but how could he? Her hand stayed like firm iron locks on his shoulder, refusing to budge.
"Where are you going?" The smile on Cang Yue’s face only grew wider.
"I am leaving the sect. Let me go." At the moment, Yang Ze couldn’t care less about her. He just wanted to get away from all these crazy bastards.
"Okay." To his surprise, Cang Yue agreed to his request while whispering in his ear.
"It’s just that I have to do something first."
"What?" Yang Ze didn’t know what she was trying to do, and before he could even make a guess, Cang Yue, standing behind him, took a deep breath and shouted at the top of her lungs.
"I AM THE SAINTESS OF THE DUALITY SECT, CANG YUE."
"AND THIS PERSON HERE IS MY DEAREST DARLING... MY DAO COMPANION."
Her shout sent a shockwave throughout the market. In that instant, the entire market was plunged into a deathly silence.
"What the hell are you doing?" Yang Ze was almost going crazy. He couldn’t understand what she was even thinking.
Cang Yue didn’t reply to him but hugged him from behind as she buried his head inside her perky breasts.
"When I came here on a mission, I skinned and butchered almost a hundred members of the sword sect. Many of them have friends and families here."
"They can’t take any action against me because I am their new Grand Elder."
"My dearest darling..." She bit Yang Ze’s ear as she whispered softly.
"What do you think they are going to do to you now if you leave the sect?"
Listening to her words, Yang Ze froze in disbelief as he spurted a mouthful of blood before losing consciousness.
The last thing he remembered was Cang Yue’s devilish smile as she carried him in her arms towards the core area of Heavenly Sword Sect...
