An Ungraded Wolf lunged at Xavier from the bushes.

"Haley, now!"

The moment he said that, the dagger flew towards the wolf.

It pierced right through its forehead, and the wolf’s body fell lifelessly to the ground with a thud.

"But damn, Haley, you are truly amazing. Ending the beast’s life in just one move," Xavier praised Haley.

’It seems that there are more hidden in the distant foliage. They are probably coming here because of the commotion I caused. Haah... just what type of shit have I gotten myself into?’

A small metal object was ejected from the dagger. Surprisingly, the metallic object was floating—no, flying. The object resembled the bee that was displayed on the smartwatch.

"Huh? The hell... Am I seeing things right?" Xavier finally looked up and saw the fake mechanical bee. Instead of wasting time trying to figure it out himself, he decided to ask Haley about it.

"Hey Haley, what is that?"

[It is an Inflibug, Master Xavier,] Haley responded.

"Inflibug? What is that?"

[I’d love to answer you. However, we have a bigger problem on our hands now.]

"Oh right! Those monsters! They should be coming over here as we speak. Should I just hide?"

[Master Xavier, trust me. Not a single scratch will be inflicted on you by these insignificant dogs.]

"Well... if you say so," Xavier nodded.

’That’s right. I have got this overpowered dagger with me. What am I so afraid of?’

In the next moment, the Inflibug soared into the skies and moved forward.

[Master Xavier, turn on the holographic screen mode of the watch.]

"Got it." Xavier did as told, and the moment he did, a green light emerged from the watch, forming a rectangular screen the size of a tablet. It displayed a bird’s eye view of the forest.

Xavier immediately figured it out.

"Is this... from that Inflibug’s point of view?"

[That is correct.]

[Look at the screen, Master Xavier.]

"Hmm? Wait...! Isn’t that—" Xavier could see over a dozen Ungraded Monsters making their way toward him. The monsters were the same type of wolves that had attacked him earlier.

’It seems the entire pack is heading toward me. They must have been alerted by the sounds those two made when I killed them.’

’Some of these guys look bigger than those two. Does that mean they’re stronger? No, I shouldn’t panic. Haley said to trust her.’

’That must mean she has a plan... right?’

[Master Xavier, are you aware of what the runes in the dagger do?]

"Huh? Um... no?"

[That is correct. We are going to use the power of the dagger’s runes on them.]

’I finally get to witness what it does.’

’Screw those dogs! I badly wanna know what this does!’ Xavier inwardly screamed in excitement. He had been curious about the runes ever since he first saw them.

Huge flashes of lightning erupted from the Hell’s Advocate Dagger and shot toward the monsters.

"GROO!!"

"WOOO!!"

The lightning struck all of them, reducing them to nothing more than charred corpses.

"Huff... huff..." Xavier panted for breath.

[Are you okay, Master Xavier?] Haley asked.
