Her Marriage: The Night is Still Young
Chapter 19: If You Force Yourself on Me, I’ll Sue You
CHAPTER 19: CHAPTER 19: IF YOU FORCE YOURSELF ON ME, I’LL SUE YOU
Nathaniel Gallagher raised his eyebrows, his deep and well-defined features radiating agitation, "Josephine, I think we need to have a serious conversation."
As he approached.
An invisible pressure came crashing down.
Josephine Thompson instinctively took two steps back, putting some distance between them, "There’s nothing to discuss between us. Whatever it is, let’s talk about it in court."
Nathaniel continued to move closer, looking down at her, "Do you really have to make it this way?"
His height towered over her, always exerting a pressure like a mountain overhead when he stood beside her.
"Let go, don’t touch me!"
Nathaniel forcefully extended his arm, hooking her slender waist, "What exactly do you want now?"
"Divorce, there’s nothing more to say." Josephine tried hard to push him away.
But the cramped space of the office desk left limited room, and he cornered her against the bookshelf, not giving her the chance to escape.
Nathaniel lowered his head, his rough breath spraying on top of her head, "Is it really because of such a little thing? Or is there another reason?"
Josephine looked up at him bitterly, "You think this is a small matter?"
"Isn’t it a small matter? You’re always being petty with Vivian, always getting jealous for no reason, always making a big deal over such trivial things..."
Josephine couldn’t listen anymore, coldly interrupting him, "Stop it. Let me ask you, are you and Vivian Shaw really just like brother and sister? Did you ever date?"
"..." Nathaniel’s eyes flickered for a moment, without answering directly.
"Were you her first love? Did you two sleep together before? Answer me."
Nathaniel’s handsome face showed a trace of heaviness and annoyance, "Josephine, the past is not worth mentioning. Even if Vivian and I had something in the past, that is past. Since we got married, I have treated her as a sister, and I will always see her as a sister."
Vivian Shaw had adored and admired him since childhood, relying on him and needing him.
And he also enjoyed the protective feeling of caring for a little girl.
But...
The liking he had for her was somewhat missing a spark, it was a very pure and simple affection.
For instance, the first time he saw Josephine Thompson, his hormones surged, with a strong male desire to possess a female.
But with Vivian Shaw, there was never any physical impulse.
Josephine blocked his approach with her arm, angrily asking, "So, did you two indeed have a relationship?"
"...If that’s what you want to think, I’m too lazy to explain anymore."
Hearing this, Josephine felt a stab in her heart, "Then why did you hide it from me before marriage? Why did you lie to deceive me?"
She hated being deceived the most.
Before marriage, she repeatedly asked him several times if he had any ex he couldn’t forget.
Each time he firmly answered no, insisting his emotional history was simple and blank.
He said he had always been busy with the family business, with no energy or time for dating.
Yet, after they got married, he exposed himself on the first night.
He was very experienced and skilled in bed, knowing exactly how to please a woman. Even though it was her first time, he was patient and skilled enough not to make it too painful for her.
If he hadn’t been experienced, he couldn’t have been so proficient.
Of course.
Everyone has a past, and she could accept that he had dated other women before.
But what she couldn’t accept or tolerate was he keeping ties with an ex after breaking up, or leaving space in his heart for them.
Nathaniel coldly retorted, "Those are all past events, is there any point bringing them up now?"
"Didn’t you also have boyfriends in the past? I didn’t hold it against you either."
"Ha!" Josephine let out a cold laugh.
She indeed had boyfriends before.
But she didn’t accept premarital sex, and had never slept with Julian Grant. Moreover, after breaking up with Julian, it was a clean break.
She remained faithful to marriage and love, not to any particular man.
When she discovered that this man wavered in his affections, she would immediately withdraw, taking back all her feelings!
"Also, why did you lie about your blood type, saying you’re type A when you’re clearly type O?"
"..." Nathaniel was momentarily stunned, his pupils shifting instinctively.
Yesterday at the hospital.
The situation was too urgent, he didn’t have time to think, and just let the nurse draw his blood.
Unexpectedly, she happened to overhear it.
"Nathaniel Gallagher, you’ve been deceiving me and keeping secrets from me all along."
"Now let’s be frank, what exactly are you hiding?"
Nathaniel’s eyes flickered, somewhat irritatedly defensive, "You’re too paranoid."
"Josephine, sometimes there’s no need to be so serious. You’re suffocating me, and if you keep being so relentless, I really might consider ending our marriage."
Josephine said, word by word, "You don’t need to consider, we will officially divorce."
Nathaniel frowned, lowering his head to gaze into her eyes.
Her eyes were still as stunningly beautiful as ever, like a deep ancient pool that could entice anyone with just one look.
"Josephine, I’ve been sweet-talking you all this time, giving you a way out."
"No need, please leave now." Josephine used all her strength to push against his solid chest, trying to distance him.
Nathaniel’s breathing became heavy, suddenly moving in fully.
Gripping her waist, he bent down to kiss her.
Josephine panicked inside, "What are you doing? Let go."
"Mm-ah~"
Her waist was hooked by his large hand, leaving her wobbling and barely standing, her neck at a nearly ninety-degree angle.
"Mmm... Let go..."
She was most afraid of this behavior from him.
Every time he couldn’t win an argument with her, or didn’t want to coax her further, he would forcefully conquer her in bed.
Nathaniel grabbed the front of her shirt, lifting her like a chick, then pressed her onto the desk.
"Josephine, why do you like making me mad so much lately?"
Nathaniel held her down with one hand, irritably unbuckling his belt with the other.
"Let go, don’t touch me!" Josephine resisted fiercely, using both her hands and feet.
"Crash--"
Everything on the desk crashed to the ground.
Her desk housed many precious artifacts and rare paints, among other things.
Particularly, she had been working on restoring a famous painting from The Shengli Dynasty. Now, the already damaged painting was completely ruined.
"Nathaniel Gallagher, if you force yourself on me, I will accuse you of ra..."
"Do as you wish!" Nathaniel replied coldly, forcibly restraining her.
"Ugh~ let go, someone help!" Josephine struggled with all her strength.
Despite having trained in women’s self-defense since childhood, even facing three to five men, she could easily handle them.
But she couldn’t fight Nathaniel; all her self-defense moves were useless against him.
The taste of blood filled both their mouths.
Her shirt buttons were undone one by one, firmly pinned down on the desk.
"Nathaniel Gallagher, if you force yourself on me, I won’t forgive you!"
