CHAPTER 41: A DEMO HAPPENS

In the Zondalian mainland, people started signing the petition that Caelum had told Selene about. They began to be told things about the woman’s past, and what she had done over the past two years.

All information that was kept secret by the law, so that no one knew about Selene’s case.

They even started protesting in front of the law building, asking for justice for a hero like her.

They had learned that the mysterious children who had come to the hospital and the police station were all because Selene had brought them.

There were CCTV recordings that no one knew where they were obtained but they showed a woman wearing a mask and hat carrying the children.

And her body figure was exactly the same as the recorded evidence when Selene committed her crime, delivering the box containing the human head.

"Outrageous! What’s wrong with their heads? They want a dangerous criminal to be let loose?" asked a man working in the Zondalian government.

At that time, people in the government held an emergency meeting because of the many protesters who showed up to demand justice for the Siren of Justice.

They felt this was something that shouldn’t happen considering the crimes committed by the woman. Plus, some information about Selene was leaked, though they didn’t reveal her true identity. But about her past and what she had done, it was enough to prompt people to ask for her release.

"How did all that information get leaked? Shouldn’t that information stay safely where it belongs!"

Another prime minister began to speak out that perhaps the person who had spread the information was a spy who wanted to damage their country.

"From the forums that have been created, someone called Black Hat has been spreading all the information that only certain people are allowed to know," said one of the assistants who gave an image on the screen.

Seen on a forum deliberately created under the name Justice for the Siren of Justice, an account user named Black Hat was seen providing some information that was little known to many people.

They wondered who the owner of the account was. But no one ever managed to find his IP address. He was like a savior of justice for the Siren of Justice.

Like a criminal who saves other criminals to get justice. People in the government also tried to figure out who this Black Hat was, but they couldn’t find an answer.

They even started looking for someone who might be close to Selene including her own family members.

"We wouldn’t want to help someone like her! I knew she was trouble, even as a child she was just a bad luck kid!" said Harry, the father.

"Are you sure you don’t know anyone who might have known Ms. Blackwell since childhood? To know what her past is like and so on?" asked one of the detectives sent from the representative to find out about this.

Of course, her parents replied that Selene didn’t know anyone. They even denied that they had abused her when she was a child.

"We don’t want to be dragged into this. She’s no longer part of our family since she decided to run away from home!"

While the detective was investigating, a blonde woman came home with her clothes still looking very neat.

"What’s going on?" asked the woman, who was none other than Zora.

"Good afternoon, Ms. Blackwell. We just came here to do a little investigation into your sister’s crimes. You must have heard about the many protesters who showed up for her release, they even made a special forum just for her," said the detective.

They breathed a sigh of relief that Selene had not come to take revenge on them.

Zora sat on the sofa with her parents, folding her arms across her chest as she thought about what she would do next.
