CHAPTER 52: BIG TROUBLE IN PRISON

At Redboiler Prison, the prisoners began to get very strict rules that even made them completely exhausted. Not because of the tasks they got, but inhumane punishments for small things that only offended Sarah as the chief warden at that time.

Of course they felt this was unfair, as they had never been treated like this before. Caelum was cruel, but he still humanized people instead of working them like animals or treating them like trash.

"If you haven’t finished in 5 minutes, you will get 50 lashes!" Dorothy shouted at the female prisoners who were washing their bed lines and clothes.

This made the female prisoners look panicked, because of course washing takes a long time and cannot be rushed.

One of the female prisoners brought a basket that was already clean, and just dried it on the field. However, because she was forced to hurry, she ran until she accidentally fell, making the whole basket dirty.

THUD!

The woman immediately panicked, as did the other women who witnessed the incident. Because they knew what would happen next.

"You’re useless!" Veronica walked straight up to the female prisoner and beat her with her baton.

"Mercy! I’m sorry, I just accidentally fell down earlier!" she said begging for mercy.

But her pleas for mercy fell on deaf ears, and she continued to be beaten and kicked by Veronica and Dorothy. The other prisoners tried to stop it, but they didn’t dare that they would end up being thrown into isolation like the others when they tried to help.

In the end, the woman who had accidentally dropped the clean bed lines was now lying on the ground with a battered face and a body that felt so painful. She was injured, and no one dared to save her.

"All of you look at this! If you still dare to go against the rules or make mistakes, you’ll end up like her!" Veronica warned them.

Hannah and Selene watched from afar, seeing how the commotion unfolded. They tried not to get directly involved or say anything.

"The prison is getting worse and worse. It’s really scary, when will Chief Rothwell be back? I like him better than Chief Sarah," Hannah said.

According to the girl, Caelum was much more organized and his punishments were clear for more serious mistakes. Rather than making a big deal out of small things that don’t matter.

"Caelum shows his power and strength through his gaze and demeanor. But that woman Sarah, she showed her power through violence," Selene said.

The more violent someone is, the more they show that they are stronger than the people around them. But according to Selene, this could also be a boomerang for Sarah and her people.

"Maybe right now she’s dealing with those who are afraid of her. But if she ends up dealing with Reina or maybe Big Mama. I’m sure Veronica or Dorothy will be the ones who get beaten," Selene explained.

"I see! Because it’s just the two of them and Reina or Big Mama should be able to beat them easily, right?" Hannah turned to her with a question.

She nodded her head, confirming what Hannah had said. It was actually easy for them to defeat the three women. However, they were worried that this would have an impact when Caelum returned.

After beating up the previous female prisoner, Veronica and Dorothy went back to watching the others and spotted Hannah and Selena. They seemed to have marked the two women prisoners, as they were always seen together.

"You two! Get on with your work!" shouted Dorothy as she walked up to them. "I’ve noticed you’ve been chatting away. Do you think it’s break time?"

A frightened Hannah immediately hid behind Selene and replied that her and Selene’s work was done.

"W-we finished our part!"

Hearing that answer, Dorothy was not very satisfied as she was eager to bully them both. Selene knew that the woman was trying to find fault with them, so that she could treat them badly.

"So can we go back to where we were? All our parts are done," Selene said before they could get into trouble later.

"Wait a minute, I’m not letting you leave now. Stay here," she replied while glaring at them.

Hearing her colleague’s loud voice, Veronica immediately approached them. "What’s going on?"

Just then, Dorothy whispered something to her. Selene’s blue eyes narrowed sharply, she could hear the woman’s whisper that she wanted to humiliate Hannah and herself, Selene.

She loved Hannah’s weak, submissive reactions and was always scared. And was sick of Selene’s flat reactions.

"The two of them are always together and their natures are so strange. I want to embarrass them in front of everyone," Dorothy whispered to Veronica.

Veronica nodded in understanding, as if she agreed to help her. She turned to the two of them and gave them a stern look, making Hannah gasp in shock that there were now two warden in front of them.

She grabbed Selene’s arm out of fear.

"You two said you wanted to go back to your place, right? That’s fine. But there’s one thing you two have to do first before that," Veronica said.

The other female prisoners around them immediately turned their heads. It was as if they were curious about it themselves, but they dared not interfere to provoke it. Especially since the person who was going to do it was Selene.

Terrified, Hannah finally asked. "What should we do?"

Veronica and Dorothy had a brief discussion and then nodded their heads to each other.

"Take off your clothes and dance in the mud."

In the cellblock H, a woman walked over to one of the cellblock rooms where a large man with tattoos on his face was sitting casually with his cellmate.

It was already quite dark, it was midnight. But nothing could stop the woman from approaching the man in his cell.

Realizing someone’s presence, the man immediately stood up from his seat and walked towards the iron bars. Looking at the woman in front of him now.

"Hey, look who’s here now. I don’t find it surprising why you’re in front of me right now, in the middle of the night like this. But what did you come here for?" the man asked.

The man was known to be ruthless and led a group of gangsters in the prison.

"I came here to work with you, Dargon."
