CHAPTER 294: SLAVES, SECT, AND SUPREMACY

Zain sat on the edge of the bed, his eyes calm but focused.

After a moment, he turned to Velra.

"By the way," he said, "where’s Reval?"

Velra stood nearby, arms crossed and relaxed. "I killed him," she said.

Zain looked at her. "You did?"

"He wasn’t useful anymore," she added.

"I already pulled everything I needed from his head."

Zain nodded once. "I see."

He stood up and stretched his arms a little.

"Now tell me," he said, "where’s my room?"

Velra tilted her head slightly. "You want to rest?"

Zain shook his head. "No. I have something to do. Something personal."

Velra nodded and gestured with her hand. "Come, I’ll show you."

Zain followed her down a long hallway.

The walls were made of black stone, cracked with glowing red lines.

Heat drifted through the corridor, but it didn’t bother either of them.

Velra walked in front, her heels clicking softly against the floor.

"Do you want the upper chamber or something deeper?" she asked.

"Give me something quiet," Zain replied.

"No noise. No light. Just a place where I won’t be disturbed."

Velra smiled a little. "Of course."

They reached a heavy door made of dark steel.

Velra pressed her hand to the side panel, and the door slid open.

"This one’s yours," she said.

Zain stepped inside.

The room was empty except for a low bed, a black table, and a tall mirror resting against the far wall.

The air inside was still, silent, just like he wanted.

He turned to Velra.

"Stay with them," he said.

Velra nodded.

"If either Savra or Zelia wakes up... call me right away."

Velra gave a small salute with two fingers, a playful grin on her lips.

"As you command, Master."

Zain gave her one last glance, then stepped inside.

The door closed behind him with a soft hiss.

Velra stood outside for a moment, then turned and walked back toward the main room.

She looked at the two women resting on the bed.

One, crimson-haired. The other, white-haired.

Velra tilted her head.

"So you’re the two who meant that much to him..."

She pulled a chair closer and sat down beside the bed, her legs crossed and arms resting lightly on the chair’s edge.

"Wake up soon," she said softly. "He’s waiting."

---

Zain sat alone in the quiet room.

His back rested against the cold wall, arms crossed, eyes half-closed in thought.

The heat of the volcanic base didn’t bother him.

He was thinking.

Thinking about the battles.

The enemies.

The power on this island.

"They’re strong," he said softly to himself.

"Too strong for the weak version of me."

He looked at his hands.

But now, his body was different.

"I’ve already hacked my foundation," he muttered.

"I have the [Heavenly Demon God] now."

A small grin spread across his face.

"My body can absorb anything... turn it into my power. That was step one."

He stood up, pacing slowly around the room.

"But I need more. This place isn’t just about personal strength."

He paused and glanced at the black mirror in the corner.

"I need my army."

His voice was calm.

"I already have [Heavenly Demon Slaves]..."

"It lets me mark someone as mine. Make them loyal. Turn them into my soldiers."

He smiled, thinking of Velra.

"She’s the perfect example."

Then he continued.

"And I have [Heavenly Demon Sect]... that lets me share my abilities with my slaves."

He frowned a little.

"But what if... instead of giving them my skills, I could make new ones for them?"

"Build custom powers that fit their body, their mind, their role."

He nodded slowly.

"And what if I could summon the sect too?"

"Not just a name, not just a title, but a real base. Anywhere. At any time."

He clenched his fist.

"That’s what I need."

He turned his eyes upward.

"System," he called. "You hear me?"

The familiar blue light flickered in front of him.

---

Zain’s grin grew wider as the light faded.

He could feel it.

The ability was alive in him now.

He placed one hand on his chest and took a deep breath.

"This is it," he whispered. "The sect will rise again."

He turned toward the door.

Outside, two women were still sleeping.

One was fire.

The other, sword.

And soon, they would both rise again as his blades.

His voice was steady.

"Time to build back the Heavenly Demon Sect."

---

In the main room, Velra sat on a nearby chair, watching the two unconscious women on the bed.

She crossed her legs and tilted her head.

"Still sleeping... how boring."

But then, both women stirred.

Savra’s fingers twitched.

Zelia’s eyes opened with a sudden sharpness.

They both sat up quickly, eyes scanning the unfamiliar room.

Their bodies tensed.

Savra’s voice came first, low and cautious.

"Where are we?"

Zelia clenched her fist.

"Where is Vorthar?"

Savra looked around, confused and tense.

"He said he would help us... said we’d grow stronger together."

Zelia’s eyes narrowed.

"What did he do to us?"

Then, before either of them could move further, someone stepped into their line of sight.

Velra stood calmly by the wall, arms folded.

She gave them a slow, playful smile.

"Well well," Velra said, her voice smooth.

"You two really are as dangerous as he described."

Zelia narrowed her eyes.

"Who are you?"

Velra smirked wider.

"Just a servant," she said softly.

"But don’t worry... your master will explain everything soon."

She turned her head slightly, eyes flicking toward the hallway.

"He’s waiting for you."

Savra and Zelia shared a glance, unsure.

Velra didn’t move.

She only smiled.
