CHAPTER 298: LEGACY RUNS DEEP

Savra crossed her arms and leaned back a little.

"Now that you’ve brought us here, what about Vorthar?"

Zain’s expression changed.

His jaw tightened slightly, and his eyes narrowed.

The room turned quiet.

Zelia glanced at him, then looked toward Savra.

Savra noticed his reaction and stepped forward.

"Zain," she asked again, "he was the vice leader of the Flame God Cult."

"He’s the one who brought us in... the one who gave us power."

She paused for a moment, then asked, "What happened to him?"

Zain stayed silent for a few seconds before finally answering.

"He’s dead," Zain said.

Savra’s eyebrows pulled together.

Zelia slowly sat up straighter. "Dead?"

Zain nodded. "I killed him."

Both women frowned.

Savra walked a few steps toward him.

"Why?" she asked.

"He never treated us badly... He was the one who helped us get stronger. He helped us survive."

Zain looked at her with calm but firm eyes.

"You don’t know what he really did."

Zelia raised her head and asked, "What do you mean?"

Zain took a breath and answered clearly.

"You two were being used," he said. "He turned you both into living ingredients."

Savra blinked. "What?"

Zain pointed to the lab memories he had seen.

"Your blood. Both of yours. It was the key part of the Flame God Serum."

"You were never just leaders to him. You were blood bags. Resources to feed his experiments."

Zelia and Savra looked at each other.

"We already knew our blood was used," Zelia said softly.

"We agreed to it. That was the only way to make the serum stronger for the cult."

Savra nodded. "That’s true. It was our price for power."

Zain shook his head.

"No," he said.

"That wasn’t all. Vorthar didn’t just want your blood once. He wanted you hooked to those tubes forever."

He clenched his fist and stepped closer.

"You wouldn’t be you anymore. You would’ve lost yourselves."

"He planned to erase your minds and keep your bodies alive."

"Just to be bloodbags that keep producing blood for him."

The room went quiet again.

Zelia’s hand moved to her chest. Her eyes lowered.

Savra stood still for a moment. Her flames didn’t rise this time.

"I see..." she said quietly.

Zain looked at both of them.

"He didn’t care about you. He only saw power."

Savra finally gave a small nod.

"Then thank you, Zain," she said. "For stopping him."

Zain relaxed his shoulders a bit.

"You don’t need to thank me. Just don’t let someone like him use you again."

Savra gave a soft smile.

Zelia simply said, "Understood."

Zain turned toward Savra.

"So," he asked, "what are these names about?"

"Svarokh and Zavathor? I heard them from Vorthar, which is why you were kept. What do they mean?"

Savra tilted her head slightly. "You really don’t know?"

Zain shook his head. "Not really."

Savra stepped forward, brushing her fingers through her long crimson hair.

"Alright, I’ll explain it the easy way."

She looked over at Zelia, then back to Zain.

"Here on Supreme Island, a long time ago, there were some strong people."

"They were so strong that they didn’t join any organizations around this supreme island."

"Instead, they made their own legacies. Their own clans. To rival the other organizations."

Zain listened closely.

Savra continued. "These families passed down power, bloodlines, and names."

"The strongest ones became feared or respected across the island."

Zain crossed his arms. "And Svarokh and Zavathor are some of those?"

Savra nodded. "Yes. Svarokh was one of the most powerful flame-based families."

"They mastered sacred fire techniques. The real sacred flames, which were not just regular fire skills."

She placed her hand on her chest. "That’s my bloodline. I am the last living member of the Svarokh."

Zain looked over at Zelia.

Savra followed his gaze.

"And Zavathor," she said, "was known for physical strength and pure ether force."

"They had tough bodies, strong minds, and combat instincts. They weren’t fancy, just brutally effective."

Zelia looked at Zain and nodded. "That’s our family."

Zain blinked. "So... does that make me Zavathor too?"

Zelia gave a small nod. "Yes. You carry the same blood."

Savra smiled. "Zain Zavathor. Zelia Zavathor. And me, Savra Svarokh. Three names tied to ancient strength."

Zain took a moment to let it sink in.

"So that’s why Vorthar wanted your blood so badly."

Savra nodded. "Exactly. If you combine Svarokh fire with Zavathor’s body, you get something deadly."

Zain looked down at his hands. "Strong fire and strong body..."

He then stepped back and sat down on the couch near them.

"So," he said, "that means the three of us... We hold something rare."

Savra nodded. "Rare enough to be hunted. That’s why I kept it secret."

Zelia looked at her quietly. "You should’ve told me sooner."

Savra shrugged. "I didn’t want to drag you into it... But in the end, I still did."

Zain leaned back. "Well, too late now. We’re already in deep."

Zelia stood beside him. "So what now?"

Zain looked at both of them.

"Now we take control of it all," he said.

"This island. These powers. The people who think they’re above us."

Savra’s flame flickered faintly at her fingertips.

"Then let’s make sure they remember the names Svarokh... Zavathor... and Heavenly Demon."

Zain smiled and gave a small nod. "Exactly."

He then turned toward Velra, who was standing near the door.

"Velra," he said, "take Zelia out to eat. Let her rest for a bit."

Velra bowed slightly. "Understood, Master."

She walked over to Zelia and gently gestured for her to come.

Zelia gave a calm nod and followed her without a word.

Once they were gone, Zain turned back to Savra. His voice was quiet but firm.

"It’s time for you to fulfill your promise."

Savra blinked, then gave a slow smile. "So it’s already that time, huh? I didn’t expect it to come so quickly."

Zain nodded. "It came faster than either of us thought."

Savra took a small step forward. "I remember the promise."

"I said when you became stronger than me, I would offer myself to you... as your slave."

She chuckled softly.

"And after seeing how you handled that Velvet Demon girl... yeah, you’re way stronger than me now."

Without hesitation, Savra leaned forward and kissed him.

"Okay, Zain," she whispered. "Make me yours."

Zain looked into her eyes. "You’re my first."

Savra tilted her head. "What about Velra?"

Zain smirked. "I always saved the first place for you."
