Hero or Villain, Both
Chapter 282: Bring him home sometime
CHAPTER 282: BRING HIM HOME SOMETIME
"Stop it! Do you know who you’re messing with?" Saradon was still trying to act tough as he shouted out while I was still bombarding him.
Though it really was hard for him to act tough when he was on the ground while covering his head.
He was even in his large dragon form which made this all much worse for him.
I didn’t say anything as I continued bombarding him with all kinds of different attacks.
It even seemed like I was bored from bombarding him like this.
However, I didn’t stop as I was waiting for a certain someone to speak up. Though it didn’t seem like that certain someone was interested in what was happening at all.
Even though it was his nephew that was being beaten up like this.
Finally, Saradon said, "I give up! I give up! You’re stronger than me!"
Even then, I didn’t stop since this could all be nothing more than a ruse from him.
But it seemed that Terax was finally willing to step in as he said, "Alright, that’s enough."
Once he said this, I stopped all of the attacks that had been raining down on Saradon.
Saradon looked up at me as if he still couldn’t stand me and it seemed like he even wanted to attack me still, but it didn’t seem like he dared. It really seemed like there was something that was restraining him.
It wasn’t that Terax was looking at him, it seemed like there was something coming from inside of him that was restraining him from doing something.
It seemed like it was something that was coming from deep down inside of him.
"It’s his pride that’s stopping him, so you don’t have to worry." Terax said all of a sudden.
The look on Saradon’s face turned ugly when he heard this, but it wasn’t as if there was anything that he could say at this point since it was the truth. The only thing that he could do in the end was turn his head away as if he was embarrassed.
I didn’t mind this as I turned to look at Terax, waiting to hear what else he had to say.
Terax didn’t say anything as he looked at me.
There was no expression on his face either as if he didn’t feel anything while looking at me like this.
But in the end, he finally said, "Not bad, it seems like you’re even stronger than I thought you were. It seems that you’ve mastered quite a few different things from different places. You’re quite the unique slime aren’t you?"
I was surprised that he had such a high evaluation of me, though I wasn’t really surprised by what he said.
After all, it was a fact that I had been using different things to pin down Saradon like this.
The one thing that was the most obvious was the way that I used mana to create attacks to pin him down. The way that I did it was using spells like human magicians did.
That meant that all of these were spells that had been summoned with the magic of the humans.
It wasn’t something that monsters should have possessed.
For a black dragon that had lived a long time, it was only natural that he would be able to see this as well. As such, the words that Terax said had a different meaning behind them.
Still, I didn’t say anything in response to this.
I just gave a simple nod in response.
Terax didn’t seem to mind this, but it seemed that Saradon did.
With the way that Saradon raised his head, it was as if he wanted to say something. But before he could, Terax looked at him with narrowed eyes that made Saradon fall silent.
Even if he couldn’t attack because of his pride, there were still other things that he wanted to do.
After restraining Saradon, Terax suddenly said, "Alright, we’ll end things here for today."
Turning to Iris, he said, "Chira, we’re not going to force you to come back with us. You can just have fun for a bit longer and then bring your friend here back home sometime. I’m sure that the rest of the tribe will accept him as long as you’re willing."
Iris’ face turned red the moment that Terax said this before she glared at him as if she was annoyed with him.
But all Terax did was look at her with a cheeky smile.
Then before Saradon could react, he was lifted up by the collar.
Even though Terax was still in human form and Saradon was as big as a building, it didn’t seem like he struggled at all to pick him up. It even seemed effortless with how easily he picked Saradon up.
There really wasn’t anything that Saradon could do when Terax picked him up like this.
Then without a word, the two of them started to fly away.
They had appeared as sudden as a storm and they had disappeared just as suddenly.
Once they were gone, I looked at Iris and said, "So, Chira, huh?"
"You can still call me by the same name. I like the name that you gave me better." Iris said in a soft voice.
"Alright." I said without any hesitation.
There was this strange mood that filled the air after the two of us said this, but I didn’t think too much about it as I knew that there was no point.
It was different for monsters when it came to matters like this.
Monsters followed instincts more than humans did, so when it came to mates...
Well, it was all about passing down their bloodline and such.
A black dragon and a slime certainly was a strange combination, but it wasn’t as if this wasn’t possible. It was just hard to imagine what would come of such a combination.
While there was silence, there was a sound that broke the silence.
"Ukiki!"
