Chapter 171: He Doesn’t Want It
Hearing this, everyone looked at Violet in astonishment, unsure of what she was trying to do.
Monet felt an even deeper sense of dread, as if she'd just encountered another traitor like Caesar—someone who would stab their own comrades in the back.
Under everyone's stunned gazes, Violet introduced Sugar: "Sugar, a senior officer of the Donquixote Family."
"Wait a minute, she looks like she's only twelve or thirteen?" Nami asked in surprise.
Sugar looked like a delicate little girl—truly petite and youthful.
How could someone like her be a senior officer in the Donquixote Family?
Robin, Tashigi, and the other women also had the same question in their eyes.
Violet tugged on Sugar's cheek and explained, "Don't judge this little girl by her appearance. She's actually 20 years old."
As she spoke, Violet glanced at Caelan. She was a little nervous, unsure if he would accept this one.
Caelan didn't say anything.
As expected from someone who wielded the Glare-Glare Fruit.
Violet continued, "She's a user of the Hobby-Hobby Fruit. Once she consumed it, her body stopped aging and she's remained in this childlike form."
"Her ability allows her to turn anyone she touches into a toy. Doflamingo plans to use her powers against you."
Violet gave a detailed explanation, especially when it came to Sugar's Devil Fruit ability.
It was an overpowered skill—just one touch, and the person would be turned into a toy. On top of that, memories of that person would vanish from everyone else's mind.
"It actually have such an ability? Doesn't that mean she can stay young forever?"
All the women stared at Sugar with envy. Even the usually composed Robin and Gion were no exception.
No woman could resist the allure of eternal youth.
"Hey, can you all focus on the main point here? She can turn people into toys. Even Caelan-sama could be in danger if he's not careful!"
Violet emphasized the danger of Sugar's power, stating that this was her way of proving her loyalty—and she wanted credit for it to be clear.
"Is that so?"
The women came back to their senses and looked at Sugar with wary eyes.
Just from listening to the description, they could tell how terrifying Sugar's powers were.
Once you were turned into a toy, you could only be left to the mercy of others.
None of them had expected such a terrifying ability to come from a little girl like this.
"Thank you, Violet. Now please tell us your real goal," Gion said, looking at her seriously.
If Violet was telling the truth, then Doflamingo's plan had nearly succeeded.
Why would Violet turn against them now?
Violet gave a bitter smile and said, "I am the daughter of King Riku, the former king of Dressrosa. I was captured during Doflamingo's takeover of the kingdom and forced to join his army."
"Now that Lord Caelan is here, I naturally can't help Doflamingo anymore."
After hearing Violet's words, the women finally understood.
She was another victim of Doflamingo's tyranny, here to seek revenge.
Vivi looked at Violet with deep empathy, her heart aching with sympathy.
Her own country had also been invaded by one of the Seven Warlords. If it weren't for Caelan, she might've ended up just like Princess Violet.
Caelan also wore a strange expression. Once again, he had come across someone who had rebelled against Doflamingo.
It was ironic. The Donquixote Family was supposed to be tightly knit and loyal, yet the ones Caelan met—Caesar, the coward, and Violet, the undercover—were anything but.
It could only be said that Doflamingo was doomed to suffer such a fate.
At this moment, Violet stepped forward and said, "Caelan-sama, please help me rescue my father and save this country. I'm willing to pay any price."
She wrapped her arms around Caelan's and looked up at him with eyes as clear as spring water.
This wasn't a hint—it was an outright offer.
Whoa, this woman was bold.
Caelan's arm sank into her softness, and he couldn't help but feel a bit pleased. "No problem. I understand your intentions. I'll save this country and your father."
This wasn't anything difficult. Once Doflamingo was defeated, everything else would fall into place.
"Thank you so much, Lord Caelan!"
Violet pressed even closer, sandwiching Caelan's arm between her chest.
Meanwhile, near the port, Doflamingo—who was watching from a distance—crushed his telescope with one hand. Seeing Violet cozying up to Caelan made his eyes overflow with killing intent.
He was fuming with jealousy—and fast.
It was clearly agreed that she couldn't give herself to Caelan.
But Caelan hadn't even asked yet, and she already offered herself?
Violet gave herself up without hesitation, leaving Doflamingo so frustrated.
Even worse, from the look of things, that damn woman had betrayed their plan and ruined everything.
"Get ready. It's almost time," Doflamingo said to his subordinates.
Then he closed his eyes and began adjusting his condition.
He already knew that this was a losing battle.
Not only Caelan himself, but even his companions made Doflamingo feel powerless.
Boa Hancock. Gecko Moria. Gion, a former candidate for admiral.
Even Moria, the weakest among them, wasn't someone he could take lightly.
Gion and the Pirate Empress were even stronger. He had no confidence in winning.
Not to mention, the real problem was Caelan himself—a nearly invincible existence.
This battle was hopeless, but if he fought with everything he had, he could at least die with some dignity.
He just wanted to see if he could take a bite out of Caelan before going down.
All the officers nodded and began quietly gathering their strength, leaving only Diamante to monitor the situation.
