CHAPTER 1381: CHAPTER 390: DADDY TEACHES MOMMY HOW TO KISS (PART 1)
But in doing so, Feng Fanghua had just mentioned that Lu Fei was an unruly girl.
"Oh dear! Look at me, saying how Lu Fei doesn’t know better, now I have nothing to say."
Feng Fanghua chuckled a little, after all, she was of a certain age and wouldn’t feel too embarrassed.
"Lu Fei simply spent less time around elders while growing up, so she developed a bit of a solitary nature. She’s not quite as bad as she seems; I actually do understand this. It’s just that I prefer quieter girls."
Yang Bo, noticing Feng Fanghua’s disappointment, explained to her.
Upon hearing this, Feng Fanghua perked up a little and exchanged glances with her husband.
Mu Zihao laughed and said, "What if that girl is willing to change for you?"
"But I don’t want anyone to change for me; people are most comfortable living as they truly are. If she changes to suit me, she will eventually become weary. Even if we force ourselves to be together now, it wouldn’t be good in the future. Besides, I mostly see Lu Fei as a younger sister."
Yang Bo continued.
"It seems your bond wasn’t quite deep enough then. How did we end up talking about a younger sister?"
The old man frowned, feeling that the more they talked, the less reliable it seemed.
Yang Bo chuckled softly; in front of the elders, he was always extremely courteous, never showing expressions that might make anyone uncomfortable. Even when speaking, he was particularly considerate of the elders’ feelings.
"I didn’t expect my affairs to worry so many people, truly embarrassing! Let me propose a toast to Grandfather alone; it’s been a while since we had a drink together!"
Yang Bo said as he raised his glass of red wine.
"Hmph! You can drink with me, but not with this wine. Switch to white liquor!"
The old man perked up immediately upon hearing that someone wanted to drink with him.
"Dad, why drink white liquor? Xiaobo still needs to drive back later!"
"It’s fine! I’ll break the law just this once and have a drink with Grandfather! Your health isn’t great, how about just one glass?"
Yang Bo proposed as he negotiated with the old man.
"I like listening to this kid; let’s do it as you said."
The auntie helped Yang Bo switch to a small glass specifically for white liquor, filling it to the brim.
Qin Mu and Mu Yichen watched from the side without speaking. Yang Bo stood up, held his glass, said some polite words, and then downed the whole glass of white liquor in one go. The old man, seeing his boldness, also drank it all at once.
Feng Fanghua frowned, filled with worry.
"Just one glass, it’s fine!"
Mu Zihao reassured her beside him.
Feng Fanghua sighed helplessly.
"You hardly ate and already drank so much, and so quickly. Hurry and eat!"
Qin Mu gently reminded them.
"Yes, hurry and eat more dishes, or you’ll ruin your stomach!"
Feng Fanghua also urged.
The old man picked up his chopsticks and encouraged Yang Bo to quickly try the family’s specialty dishes.
At ten o’clock, Yang Bo got up to say goodbye. Qin Mu and Mu Yichen went to see him off. Before getting in the car, Yang Bo said, "Why didn’t you give me a heads up about this?"
"Didn’t you already guess?"
Mu Yichen asked.
Qin Mu stood beside them, watching their exchange of mutual complaints, couldn’t help but chuckle softly: "What are you two up to? Playing a guessing game?"
"Xiaomu, your husband is truly sneaky!"
"I know!"
As soon as Yang Bo finished, Qin Mu nodded in agreement.
Mu Yichen...
"I’m leaving!"
Yang Bo said and was about to leave. He opened the car door and then turned back to look at them: "Seeing that, has the Lu Family come to you?"
"Uh-huh!"
Mu Yichen responded quietly.
"Sigh! Grandfather and Auntie and Uncle have it tough. Apologize to them for me. You two should also head inside; it’s really hot out here."
"Goodbye, Brother Yang Bo!"
Qin Mu stood by Mu Yichen’s side, one hand held by Mu Yichen behind his back, while she waved goodbye to Yang Bo with the other.
After Yang Bo drove away, Qin Mu looked up at Mu Yichen again: "Brother Yang Bo has such a good temper!"
Mu Yichen’s dark eyes lowered as he gazed at his wife: "The one with a bad temper is your man, remember that well!"
"No one said you’re not!"
Qin Mu glanced at him, then shook off his hold and walked inside first.
Mu Yichen chuckled softly, watching her proud back, he chased after her, tightly wrapping his arm around her shoulder, whispering something in her ear as they walked inside together.
Qin Mu looked up at him in surprise, not too pleased.
Mu Yichen smiled, "Now you realize that someone with a good temper isn’t necessarily as charming as someone with a bad one?"
Qin Mu gave him a push to the side: "Charm can’t be eaten!"
——
Later, after both washed up and lay in bed, Qin Mu was still not too fond of him. Mu Yichen suddenly felt a bit of regret.
"I should have known not to tell you!"
"Even if you didn’t tell me, I would find out as soon as I went to your office building."
Qin Mu turned to say to him, then turned back to look at her phone.
