CHAPTER 385: CHAPTER 385 LITTLE BURRITO BUNNY

When Leo finally stepped out of the bathroom, steam drifting behind him, he paused at the sight before him. The bed looked enormous, the canopy drapes falling softly around it, and right in the middle of all that space was a single, trembling blanket.

A blanket that was clearly hiding a very shy, very flustered bunny.

He blinked once, then twice, and the corner of his mouth lifted slowly. Of course she was still under there.

He ran a hand through his damp hair, a thin trail of water sliding down his chest before disappearing into the towel wrapped low around his waist. His steps were unhurried as he crossed the room, the soft sound of his bare feet brushing against the luxurious rug. The closer he got, the more he could see the blanket quivering ever so slightly, as if his bunny was holding her breath.

He stopped right beside the bed, folded his arms, and stared at the large, suspiciously alive-looking lump.

"Are you planning to start a new life inside that blanket?" he said, amusement coloring his voice. "Or are you just pretending I can’t see you, little burrito bunny?"

The lump jerked.

Leo raised a brow, leaning a bit closer. "Should I call housekeeping? Maybe they can help me relocate this extremely shy blanket creature."

Bella curled tighter inside, mortified.

He let out a soft laugh under his breath. "Bella," he said, voice dropping into that gentle teasing tone that always melted her, "you do realize I saw you last night, right? Hiding now is a little useless, don’t you think?"

The blanket didn’t move, except for one tiny inch where her toes accidentally poked out before darting back in.

Leo smirked, shaking his head. "Unbelievable," he murmured. "My wife turns into a fearless firecracker when it comes to hacking, but one glimpse of my shoulders and she becomes a shy roasted peanut."

He placed a hand on the blanket.

"Come out, bunny," he whispered. "I promise I won’t eat you... unless you ask nicely."

Bella finally peeked out from the blanket, her hair messy and her bare shoulder glowing softly in the morning light. She clutched the blanket tighter around her chest and glared at him, cheeks burning.

"I am not shy because I saw your shoulder, okay? I just... don’t have clothes," she snapped, though her voice wobbled.

Leo’s lips curved the moment she spoke. He didn’t argue, didn’t tease yet, just strolled to the couch with lazy confidence, droplets of water still trailing down his back, and picked up a sleek bag. Then he came back to her, dangling the bag in front of her face like a parent showing candy to a grumpy child.

"Here. Clothes," he said, trying not to laugh.

Before she could react, he tossed it toward her.

The bag landed right beside her, bouncing lightly on the sheets. Bella leaned forward quickly to grab it, and in that exact unlucky second, her blanket loosened just enough to slide down her chest.

For half a heartbeat, time stood still.

Then Bella screamed, "LEO!!!"

Her voice shot through the room like lightning, and Leo nearly choked holding back a laugh. His bunny sat in front of him with her upper body exposed, her face redder than a ripe tomato.

He raised his hands in mock innocence. "What?"

"You did that on purpose!" Bella accused, gripping the blanket and yanking it up to her chin.

Leo didn’t deny it. He nodded, slow and shameless.

Her eyes widened. "I knew it!"

For a moment she sat frozen, clutching the blanket like armor, cheeks puffed with outrage. Then something sharp flickered in her eyes...she was clearly planning revenge.

Leo saw that glint and his smirk vanished.

Wait a minute.

What was she planning?

He straightened instantly, instincts kicking in. "Bella... don’t even think about anything...."

But she was already shifting, blanket tightened in her fist like she was ready to leap.

Leo’s eyes widened.

Oh no.

She was actually going to chase him.

He darted around the bed immediately, his voice low and warning. "Bunny. Don’t."

She started crawling toward the edge, still furious.

He moved to the opposite side quickly, every step graceful like a predator circling.

"Bella," he said again, almost pleading now, "don’t run at me like some blanket monster."

But she was already on her feet under the blanket, wobbling like a determined little ghost, preparing to launch at him.

Leo’s jaw dropped.

She was actually serious.

Bella reached him with that furious little stomp of hers, blanket dragging behind her like some dramatic cape. Her hair was still messy from sleep, her cheeks red from embarrassment and anger, and her eyes blazing straight at him.

Leo didn’t run this time. Instead, he leaned back against the wall with slow, unhurried confidence, his damp dark hair falling over his forehead, his body still warm from the shower. He let his arms spread out casually on either side, muscles flexing deliberately as if he knew exactly what effect it would have.

He tilted his head slightly, voice dropping low and smooth, that rich Italian-laced accent slipping out like honey over steel.

"Alright, bambina... what are you gonna do?"

Bella froze for a second. Her ears turned the color of strawberries. She had fully planned to pounce on him and smack his shoulder for revenge but now he was standing there like the definition of sinful temptation, speaking in that accent she had no defense against.

Still, she refused to surrender.

She narrowed her eyes, puffed her cheeks, and stormed closer. The blanket tangled around her legs, almost tripping her, so she huffed and threw it open for a second because she needed both hands.

Leo inhaled sharply at the flash of bare skin, but before he could enjoy the sight she wrapped the blanket around herself again in a panic.

Then she reached him.

Instead of smacking, she scratched his shoulder with her nails, a quick swipe.

Leo groaned under his breath, deep and low, far too appreciative. His bunny, half-naked under that blanket, scratching him like that...he was not built to survive this.

Bella, meanwhile, stood there half-wrapped around him with the blanket awkwardly covering both of them, her breath warm against his chest. She didn’t even notice how close they had ended up.

"Now say sorry!" she demanded, raising her chin proudly.
