His head lifted from where it rested against my shoulder, and those molten eyes cut to mine like I’d just dared him to fight me.

“Good?” His voice came out low, ruined from growls and kisses, threaded with disbelief. “Little wolf, you think I’d let you walk after ‘good?”

Heat red in my cheeks, but my mouth was faster than my shame. “Well, you were alright. Maybe a solid seven.”

The rumble in his chest shook through me, a dangerousugh that promised retribution. His hand tightened on my hip, ws ghosting skin.

“Seven?” He dragged the word like a threat, pressing his mouth to the mark he’d left at my throat. His teeth scraped, slow, deliberate. “You’ll say that again when you can stand.”

My pulse leapt, stubbornness sparking even as my body betrayed me, trembling under his touch. “Maybe I’ll say six.”

That earned me a snarl, rough and low, before he rolled me beneath him again.

“Grayson–it’s sunrise.” My voice came out husky, ruined. “We don’t have time.”

He growled low, almost pained, as if the sun itself had betrayed him. “The pack can wait.”

“They can’t.” I bit back a gasp when his teeth grazed the swell of my breast through the sheet. “There’s too much to fix–repairs, supplies, wounded…”

    “Right.”

Iugh at his ridiculous expression. Goddess, how can I love this man this much?

“Promise… just onest time,” I rasped, mimicking the way he’d beggedst night. “I’ll be gentler, Jess. Goddess, I need you.”

    “You little-”

I pressed my lips together, failing to stifle myugh. “That was you. All needy and desperate, like one more wasn’t enough.” I propped my chin on my elbow, the sheet clutched against my chest, my grin wide and shamelessb. /b“Alpha, please. Just one more-”

The growl he gave me this time shook through the bed. A secondter, he was on me, dragging me across the sheets until I yelped.

“If we really don’t have to attend that meetingter at breakfastb…/b”

The words barely left my mouth before his hand fisted in the sheet, tearing it from my grip. My squeak turned into a gasp as he pinned me t, molten eyes burning down at me like I’d just signed my own death

    sentence.

    Seconds. That’s all it took.

Now I was panting, hair stered to my temples, nails biting crescent moons into his shoulders. “Oh, Goddess…. I’m gonna be fucking sore.”

Graysonughed–low, ruined, satisfied. He shifted, pressing a quick kiss to the corner of my mouth before peeling himself back. “Shower. We’ve got one hour before the breakfast meeting.”

Although the shower was supposed to wake me, it didn’t—it broke me further. His hands never stopped, his mouth never relented. By the time we stumbled out, dripping and bruised, I could barely tell if the water or him had wrecked me more.

Now, walking beside him, my damp hair sticking to my neck, his handced tightly through mine, I tried to steady my breath. Tried, and failed.

“I thought you two would still be busy marking each other,” Jack whistled as soon as we stepped into Kade’s house.

The others were already gathered around the long table. Heat shot up my neck.

“Busy?” he echoed, gaze sweeping over the table, daring any of them to meet it. “If she could still walk straight, maybe.”

A few chokedughs. “Grayson-“I hissed under my breath, but he only dragged me closer, until his mouth brushed my ear. “What the hell are you doing?b” /b

    “iming you.”

Hours ago, he already imed me in front of the whole pack but it seems like that wasn’t enough for him. I let him do whatever he wanted and just grab a chair on the table as he shook hands with the others.

I never really peg Grayson Westwood to be like this but I guess, I never really saw him before outside of his role as the alpha.

“Surprise, you can still walk, hmm?”

“Oh my!” Shock, I turn my head to see a very unfamiliar ce. Unfamiliar because as far as I know, I’m the only woman in here until now. “Sorry. Who are you?b” /b

The new girl’s grin is huge, and Jack snorts. Is it just me or does she look irritated as soon as Jack drops his hands on me?

    “That’s Be.”

I’ve been with the pack for months now and it weed me in every possible way. It gives me a full view of what they do and what they allow in this secret organization they had but I never heard of that name until

    now.

“She’s Grayson’s right hand on this pack.”

Right hand? I thought that was Kade.

Jack inches forward and I cannot help to notice how Be’s eyes follow his movement with a frown.

    “More like an advisor, actually.”

Okay, that doesn’t make sense at all. How can he, the great Grayson Westwood take advice from someone especially a woman? I’m not judging but from the years that I’ve known him, Grayson can be a bit of a misogynist. I resisted the urge to ask more when Grayson found us and joined us on the table himself.

    “Well, you’ve met Be.”

“Yup.” I grab some water and drink from it. “Your advisor?” There’s no need to hide it anyway. bIt’s /bnot like I’m jealous or irritated. I’m just kinda confused. “Since when?”

Grayson’s lips twitch in that way that tells me I’ve said something in between those lines. “Since I’m ten.”

    Wow.

“That’s…amazing!” I need to get out of here. Jack must’ve noticed when he suddenly said that he’s going to show me something and nodded to Grayson as if it’s some signal for whatever it is they are hiding from me. My gaze is still on them when Jack drags me to the other side, filling my te with food. “Who’s that?”

    “Be.”

I re at him. “Who is she?”

    “I told you, Be.”

I grumble under my breath, but decided it’s not worth it to throw another scandal in this ce. After all, they all had a long nightst night after the attacks. I cannot help but to notice how almost everyone heals so fast. I’ve been told that each alpha’s here lead arge pack of their own and maybe that’s the reason why we also have supplies being delivered.

Once done, Jack pulls out a chair and motions for me to sit.

“Sit down,” he says. “Grayson’s leading this meeting so I’m in charge of keeping my eye on you.”

    I can perfectly see that.

“He seems to be very good at leading,” I mutter more to myself as I ground my eyes in front. Grayson is now standing at the center with Be beside him.

Jack chuckles as he lowers himself down beside me. Grayson never told me what this meeting is all about. I thought Kade is going to lead it but it turns out, it’s my great mate who will do all the talking.

Settle down, guys,” Grayson’s voice abrupts the chaos and everyone went to obey him. ” First of all, I want to thank you for saving our basses /bst night.”

I’ve never seen this pack of alphas behave like this other than the first Grayson had brought me here. Something tells me that their rtionship goes so much deeper than they are allowing me to know.

“We’ve got no casualties and that’s a good sign. Our n is now in motion and the other packs will now start respecting us.”

“What is he talking about?” I asked Jack.

Jack sighs. “The other pack who attacked us wants you for their own power but when Grayson marks you, it sends a message.”

I shake my head, still not understanding.

“That you, Jessica Wilkinson, a hybrid omega is now binded to this pack of alphas and you are, as of this moment, under our protection.”
