His Unwanted Gamma
Shattered 132
bChapter 132 /b
ra’s POV
“Gamma ra!”
The familiar shout pulled me from my thoughts.
Jory hurried over, his eyes wide with concern. “Are you okay? I heard you were taken to the Counseling Hall today. Some people were saying you killed Danton… is it true? Are you hurt?”
I tried to smile, giving him a reassuring pat on the shoulder. “Don’t worry, Jory. I’m fine.”
A deep breath escaped him, and he bent forward to pull me into a tight hug. “I was worried sick.”
I wanted to hug him back, fort him. But before I could, I felt a sharp shove.
Thorne.
Without a word, Thorne slid his arm around my shoulders possessively, his eyes locking with Jory’s. “You’re mated now, Joryi. /iKeep your distance.”
Jory stiffened, his jaw clenching. “We were just talking.”
“Do you always get this close when you talk to someone?” Thorne’s voice dripped with sarcasm. “What is it, Jory? Some skin hunger disorder?”
I groaned, already regretting the growing tension. “Thorne, that’s enough…”
Jory’s face turned red. “You’re a damn control freak, Thorne! Everyone in Blood Moon Pack knows that ra made the right call rejecting you. Even Alpha Cael agrees! You’re not her mate anymore, so maybe it’s you who should keep your distance!”
“Watch your mouth, Joryi,/i” Thorne hissed, his eyes gleaming with venom. “Just because ra treats you like some little brother doesn’t mean you bget /bbto /bment on our personal business.”
“Anyone would be better than you!” Jory shouted back, his frustration evident. “Just wait until she finds her second–chance mate-”
“Alright, alright!” Kimberly cut in, pulling at Jory’s sleeve with a frustrated sigh. “I didn’t sneak him in here so you two could just trash–talk each other. Truce?”
Both men red at each other but said nothing.
“Good enough,” Kimberly muttered, pping her hands before turning to me. “ra, you said haven’t done anything to earn your trust. Well, now! brought Jory here, showing you I’m really on your side. How’s that? Ready to let me in on your n?”
Jhesitated, ncing at Jory.
“What do you think?” I asked him.
He shot a quick look at Kimberly before mumbling, “think… she can be trusted.”
Kimberly’s grin stretched wide as she nted a quick kiss on his cheek. “Thank you.”
bI /bcouldn’t help but smile at them. They made a great couple. I was honestly happy for Jory.
“Thorne?” I asked, turning my attention to him.
He crossed his arms and stared at the ground. “I reserve my opinion.”
Jory rolled his eyes. “Of course, you do,”

“Alright, full pass. Wee to the team, Kimberly.” I nodded, not letting Thorne’s coldness distract me.
Kimberly flipped her hair over her shoulder, her smile returning. “Finally! Now, I know you’ve got the answer from Andre. No need for details, just tell me -what’s our next move? And what do I need to do to get rid of that psycho, Lance?”
I looked over at Thorne, who seemed to be deep in thought.
“We need to lure Lance out of the city,” I said. “We can’t kill him on rogue–dominatednd.”
Kimberly scowled. “That’s tricky. Lance rarely leaves the city. He’s like a turtle hiding in his shell… Well, except for that time he went to Cragfen Fortress
alone.”
The thought clicked in my mind. That would have been the perfect opportunity to get rid of him. But we hadn’t known who the Rogue King was at that
time.
“So what now?” Jory asked, his brow furrowed. “Can we knock him out and drag him out of the city? Four of us together, it shouldn’t be too hard
Kimberly shook her head. “No, it won’t work. He’s always surrounded by guards. Even if we manage to take him down, his soldiers would catch up bwith /bus before we can leave.”
I bit my lip, frustration gnawing at me. Was there really no way to get around thisb? /b
“I’ve got a n,” Thorne said, his voice breaking through the silence.
We all turned to him.
“Why did Lance go to Cragfen Fortress alone?” he asked Kimberly.
She grimaced. “Because he likes ying with his prey before he kills them. It gives him a feeling of control. A twisted kind of power.”
Thorne’s eyes gleamed with understanding. “Then we’ll use that against him. I want you to send word to Cragfen Fortress, telling them we need Cael to rescue us. Meanwhile, we’ll flee the city and meet him halfway.”
Jory furrowed his brow. “Won’t Lance notice?”
“That’s the idea,” Thorne said, a wicked grin spreading across his face, “Kimberly, I want you to tell Lance that Cael ising for us. Give him the details of our escape route. He’ll think he has everything under control, and, that’ll drive him to chase us.”
My eyes lit up. Thorne was right. Lance loved to hunt. His ego would push him to make risky decisions, and he wouldn’t be able to resist going after us.
“Once he chases us to the border, and crosses into the roguend, we’ll catch him,” Thorne continued, his tone cold and determined. “We’ll kill him right there.”
Kimberlyughed, pping her hands. “Brilliant! The best part is that Lance has no idea I’m working with you. He’ll trust whatever bI /btell him.”
I nodded. “And he won’t iknow /iwe already have a n to kill him. He won’t be on guard when he leaves the city.”
Everyone seemed to be on board. It was a n. It might actually work.
“I’ll send word to Alpha Cael,” Jory said, his voice steady. “I’m a rogue; I can leave the city without triggering any taboos.”
I hesitated for a moment, remembering something. “But we can’t leave yetb, /bright? Not with rogue blood still in our systems. h

Jory rubbed his chin thoughtfully. “That works. It’s just enough time for me to brief Alpha Cael.”
“Perfect. Four days from nowi, /iThorne said, his voice bow i“/iWe’ll ex the n in motion. By then, Cad

Everyone nodded.
1 clenched my fists, the fire of vengeance burning in my chest. Finally. We were going to Val Lance and avenge the Bunched nered
The next four days passed in a blur. Thorne and I stayed in our room, following Kimberly’s instructions and eating only the food she b focus on the n.
Finally, the fourth night arrived, it was time,
We changed into light sportswear, easy to move in. I wore a sports bra, ck bleggings/b, and sneakers, my hair
pulled up into a high sp
We waited for night to fall, the minutes dragging by.
Around 11:00 PM, a small tap against the window signaled Kimberly, I rushed to the window, looking down to see the patrol team was gone
The way was clear.
“Ready?” Thorne asked, his voice steady.
I nodded.
He smiled and kissed my lips briefly. “After you, mydy.”
I climbed to the windowsill, about to make the jump when-
A knocki. /i
It froze us both in ce.
Who could be knocking at the door at this hour? The night we were about to carry out our mission?
Thorne gave me a sharp look, telling me to stay still. He raised his voice, “What is it?”
“Alpha Thorne, sorry to disturb you,” a guard’s voice came from outside. “But the King is here to see you.”
