How Did I Become an F1 Driver?

CHAPTER 569: CHAPTER 245: HENGELO CONCLUDES (6K, EXTRA 3/16)
Back when Qin Miao was still racing in F2, he had seen many people taking photos of him from afar, but had never encountered anyone running up to him for a photo together.
But now, if Qin Miao goes out shopping with Qimeng, things are completely different.
If he goes out in the morning, he might not be able to return until night.
The entire street could be blocked off.
A stampede would definitely be inevitable.
F1, especially in countries like Britain, has an incredibly large audience.
That’s why F1 drivers rarely get to travel for leisure outside of work.
Unless it’s to countries where F1 has a smaller following, even then, they don’t dare to completely let down their guard; at the very least, they need to wear sunglasses or something.
He reached out and patted Hamilton’s shoulder: "Let’s see if next season will have the China Grand Prix again. If so, I’ll show you my hometown."
"Sounds great, I’m looking forward to it!"
After chatting with Hamilton, Qin Miao turned and went backstage at the podium to wait for the final award ceremony.
There’s not much to say about the following process. The national anthem once again resonated on foreign soil, and everyone had to stand respectfully to listen to the song in its entirety.
The last picture before the summer break was a group photo of Qin Miao, O’Kang, Vettel, and Allison.
And thus, the Hungarian Grand Prix came to a formal end.
The points obtained and rankings in the main race are as follows:
1: Qin Miao +25
2: O’Kang +18
3: Vettel +15
4: Hamilton +12
5: Sainz +10
6: Alonso +8
7: Gasly +7 (Fastest Lap)
8: Tsunoda +4
9: Latifi +2
10: Verstappen +1
11: Russell
12: Ricardo
13: KIMI
14: Mick
15: Giovinazzi
In the latter half of the race, Verstappen miraculously achieved the team’s goal after Verstappen was hit.
Driving a severely damaged car, relying on his powerful driving skills, Verstappen still managed to earn a point.
After this race, the drivers’ standings are as follows:
1: Qin Miao 204
2: Hamilton 183
3: Verstappen 170
4: Norris 102
5: Perez 94
6: Leclerc 88
7: Sainz 69
8: Ricardo 49
9: Gasly 41
10: Vettel 40
11: Alonso 33
12: O’Kang 31
13: Stroll 16
14: Tsunoda 12
15: Latifi 2
15: Kimi 1
Post-race, the overall ranking on the points table hasn’t changed much. O’Kang moved from thirteenth to twelfth with a second place finish.
And Qin Miao once again widened the points gap between himself and Hamilton and Verstappen.
The team standings are as follows:
1: Mercedes 387
2: Red Bull 264
3: McLaren 151
4: Ferrari 147
5: Alpine 66
6: Red Bull Junior 53
7: Aston Martin 53
8: Williams 2
9: Alfa Romeo 1
After this race, Williams strongly entered the competition on the points table, leaving only Haas without points in the paddock. Meanwhile, Alpine rose two spots to fifth in the team standings due to strong performances by both of their drivers.
At the same time, Qin Miao only completed one of his three tasks for the race, which was to beat his teammate Hamilton.
The car damage task was nothing worth discussing.
At the start of the race, drivers at the front, except Hamilton, were all affected by the incident to varying degrees. Qin Miao’s rear mechanical grip was damaged, which was considered one of the least affected.
After completing the second task, Qin Miao’s starting skill increased slightly to 88 points.
Maybe not the very best, but definitely sufficient.
The last task wasn’t completed but it wasn’t regrettable.
In this race, Qin Miao’s defensive ability didn’t come into play, similar to when he raced in Monaco before. Throughout the race, he didn’t come across anyone he could defend against, not even a driver appearing behind him for more than 20 laps.
So the last task was deemed unsuccessful.
With Qin Miao’s task completion rate, if he were under a system that wipes out anyone who couldn’t finish even one task, he’d have been dead eight hundred times over.
