How I Became Ultra Rich Using a Reconstruction System
Chapter 55: New Personnel Added
CHAPTER 55: NEW PERSONNEL ADDED
Ms. Lim looked at Timothy. "How did you meet my niece?"
"Niece?" Timothy rose to his feet. So she is personally related to Ms. Lim? Still, he has to answer the question. "We met her but not in a way intended. She bumped into me."
Ms. Lim looked at her niece then asked. "Was that true? You bumped into Mr. Guerrero?"
"Mr. Guerrero?" She tilted her head to the side. "He is Mr. Guerrero, the young man you told me about starting an automotive company?"
The woman looked at Timothy with mouth open partly as she was surprised at the revelation. The man that she bumped into was not an ordinary person.
"Mr. Guerrero," Ms. Lim spoke. "Let me introduce you to my niece. Seo Hana. Hana, Timothy Guerrero, CEO of TG Mobility Holdings."
"It’s a pleasure to meet you, Mr. Guerrero," she bowed her head politely.
"The pleasure is mine," Timothy bowed his head back politely. Maybe this is how Koreans greet one another.
"Are you in the middle of business, aunty? If so I will excuse myself."
"No stay," Ms. Lim said, holding her by the arm.
"Eh..."
"We are just finishing," Ms. Lim said firmly, guiding Hana toward the table. "Come, sit here."
Hana sat from the vacant chair one meter apart from Timothy’s seat.
Timothy adjusted his posture, his hands resting neatly on the polished wood of the desk as Hana sat down to his right. The distance wasn’t much—close enough that he could catch the subtle scent of her perfume, light and floral, but far enough to keep everything proper. She sat with perfect posture, her clutch resting on her lap, her eyes lowered for a moment before glancing his way.
Ms. Lim laid out the documents in front of Timothy, flipping through each section with practiced precision. "Alright, Mr. Guerrero. These are the final contracts. We’ll go page by page. Please sign here, here... and here." She tapped her pen lightly against the designated lines.
Timothy picked up the pen, the black ink flowing smoothly across the pages as he signed his name. But every so often, his eyes betrayed him—sliding sideways to where Hana sat. Her hair caught the light in soft waves, her earrings swaying gently as she shifted. She seemed aware of his occasional glance, though she said nothing, her gaze resting politely on the table.
Ms. Lim continued speaking, explaining clauses about equity, executive compensation, and retainer services. Timothy nodded at the right times, his voice steady when he replied, but he couldn’t deny the way his focus kept splitting—half on the paperwork, half on Hana’s quiet presence beside him.
The final page slid forward. Ms. Lim smiled faintly. "And here, Mr. Guerrero, is the last signature required to formalize TG Mobility Holdings’ executive structure."
Timothy exhaled, signed, and set the pen down.
"Excellent," Ms. Lim said, collecting the documents neatly. "From this moment forward, your company is fully staffed at the executive level. Tomorrow, we’ll proceed with introductions in person."
"That’s great to hear," Timothy smiled and then glanced at Hana who was smiling at him.
Oh my god, even the way she smiled at him was so mesmerizing, he couldn’t help but feel a tickle in his cheeks, and his heart was beating fast.
Then.
"You seemed to be interested with my niece, Mr. Guerrero?"
Hearing that, Timothy snapped back to reality and jolted in his seat. "Eh? Uhm...well...to be honest Ms. Lim I’m just surprised at these circumstances. Who knew I would meet the girl who bumped into me yesterday."
Hana lowered her gaze shyly, brushing a strand of hair behind her ear. "I-I’m sorry again about that," she said softly, her voice carrying the same warmth as the night before. "I wasn’t paying attention... I should have been more careful."
Timothy shook his head quickly, forcing a polite smile. "No harm done. If anything, it was... memorable." He realized too late how that might have sounded and cleared his throat, sitting straighter.
Hana’s lips curved faintly at his words, a polite, almost bashful smile that only made Timothy more aware of her presence.
"It’s strange, isn’t it? Yesterday, I only thought I bumped into a stranger. And today, I find out you’re a CEO already building a company. Life is... unpredictable."
She spoke again, tone careful but genuine.
Ms. Lim watched the exchange with mild amusement before placing the neatly stacked contracts into her folder. "Indeed, unpredictable. But perhaps not without reason." She folded her hands on the table and looked directly at Timothy.
"You’re probably wondering why Hana came with me today."
Timothy glanced between the two women. "The thought did cross my mind."
Ms. Lim nodded. "The truth is, Hana has been looking for work. I asked her to come by today because I thought it might be good for her to see how business is done at this level. Exposure, if you will."
Timothy blinked, then looked at Hana again. Her expression was calm, though a faint blush touched her cheeks as if slightly embarrassed by the situation.
"I see..." Timothy said slowly, choosing his words carefully. "Well I hope she finds her luck with you, Ms. Lim. And given with the help you have done for me, I’m sure you’ll find a job for her."
Ms. Lim leaned back in her chair, studying Timothy for a brief moment before a spark of thought lit her expression.
"Mr. Guerrero," she began. "A startup company is not as glamorous as it sounds from the outside. Especially with you taking on the CEO role, the paperwork alone will drown you if you’re not prepared. Endless contracts, logistics files, financial reports, meeting minutes—your executives will expect you to stay on top of it all."
Timothy raised a brow. "I’m aware. It’s part of the responsibility, isn’t it?"
"Yes," Ms. Lim agreed. "But it’s also something that eats into your time, energy, and focus. You need someone to stand at your side—not a C-level executive, but someone who can keep you grounded, organized, and free to focus on the bigger picture. Which is why I think Hana could work for you as your secretary."
"Eh?" Timothy flickered his gaze to Hana, who was also shocked at the suggestion.
"She has the qualifications. Let me be frank, Hana graduated in the top five percent of her class at Yonsei University. Business Administration, with a year abroad in London. Fluent in Korean and English, conversational in Japanese and Mandarin. She’s sharp with numbers and logistics."
Timothy’s gaze shifted to Hana, who straightened unconsciously under the weight of his attention.
"She has work experience too," Ms. Lim continued. "One year as an executive assistant in her father’s trading company, where she learned how to handle supplier contracts and import-export paperwork. After that, she deliberately stepped out of her family’s shadow to join an automotive parts supplier. There, she managed negotiations with Japanese and Southeast Asian clients, successfully."
Her words hung in the air, matter-of-fact yet laced with pride.
Timothy found himself at a loss for a moment. He didn’t expect Hana would be such an amazing person too. He felt a bit dwarfed because she accomplished so much despite her age. If not for the reconstruction system, they wouldn’t have met.
"...I see," Timothy said finally, leaning back slightly in his chair. "That’s... an impressive résumé."
Hana lowered her gaze modestly, but her lips curved into the faintest, polite smile.
"Well now that I think about it, a secretary would be a vital personnel to my company. It is as you said, there’s a lot of paperwork. But it’s up to Ms. Hana if she would be willing to work with me. What do you think Ms. Hana?"
"Uhm..." Hana cleared her throat then faced Timothy with a firm gaze, composing herself. "As someone who was looking for a job, I would love to take the opportunity to apply as your personal secretary, Mr. Guerrero. I swear to you that I will do my best to help you build your company from the ground up."
Timothy was taken aback by that sudden determination. She looked so serious.
"Great!" Ms. Lim clapped her hands. "You have your executives and a personal secretary. I will work on the paperworks for her application."
Timothy rose to his feet and then approached her, Hana did the same and he learned that she’s about 1.64 meters in height. He extended his hand, offering a handshake.
Hana grabbed his hand and he immediately felt the softness of her hand.
"Tomorrow there will be a meeting with the newly-hired executives in this building. I want you to be there as well."
Hana nodded with a determined expression. "I will."
"But before that, let’s get to know each other. How about dinner later?"
"Eh?" Hana blurted softly.
"As a secretary you must have to know everything there is to know about me right? We can discuss that over dinner."
"You should go for it, Hana," Ms. Lim said. "You should know about who you are working for."
"Uhm..." Hana was thinking about it and seconds later, she looked at Timothy. "Very well."
"Give me your contact details, I’ll inform you of the place."
"Mmm," she nodded.
