I am an Eldritch Entity
Chapter 282 282: Fight with a group
Eryndor sensed multiple six legged scaled monkeys heading his way through various means from running on the forest ground, swinging through the branches, jumping between trees and more.
However, from the same direction he also sensed a group of cultivators.
He wouldn't have frowned if it was just that though. He would have simply patted his butt and left.
He could recognise these cultivators, and they were from the initial team which was formed to deal with an anomaly found by Master Troy.
The problem was, he couldn't see some members.
While fending off the attacks from the six legged scaled monkey which had grown increasingly bold now that its group was here to back it up, he thought.
Did they kill the anomaly at a price of those few members? Or did they lose to the anomaly and chose to retreat to not let more disciples die?
He stopped his musings, and calmly retreated.
Now that more disciples were heading his way, he couldn't fight with the group alone anymore.
On one hand he didn't want to expose his complete strength, and on the other hand it was inevitable that he would use his eldritch abilities, or even his eldritch form due to the difficulty of the battle.
It would be loads of trouble if it came down to him having to explain the origin of those abilities.
Wait, I can lure these beasts somewhere else.
Although there was this fact that those disciples definitely saw those beasts heading his way, he wasn't afraid of luring them elsewhere.
There would be no need for them to be suspicious of me acting this way. Majority of the disciples would not want to fight in front of others even in the presence of a master who could guarantee their safety.
There would also be no suspicion on my range of senses as to why I acted so early.
According to them, I shouldn't have such a massive range so as to sense them from so far away. However, there's also another reason which can be used here.
It is that I have already made a trap far away to kill these beasts.
That way, it isn't that I sensed these disciples and Master Troy that I lured the beasts away and shifted the battlefield, but because I sensed the numerous beasts and knew that it was time to lure them into a trap I made far away that I began running and shifted the battlefield.
With that thought in mind, Eryndor immediately began running in a different direction.
If they were indeed going towards the main building of the Training Camp, then they wouldn't be taking the route he just took.
In short, he took a different route just to avoid bumping into them.
After a few minutes, he was sure he had deviated far enough from their path.
However, I can't be careless, who knows how big that Master Troy's range is?
Eryndor further extended the range of his Spatial Sight.
Due to Dr. Kirchoff's warning, he had always been rather cautious regarding his use of Spatial Sight.
So, as soon as he sensed the team, he had immediately retracted his Spatial Sight in fear of Master Troy.
However, he had still ended up sensing Master Troy, which meant that his Spatial Sight did indeed come in contact with him.
Then, he grew bolder and let the Spatial Sight wash over the team, and realized that Master Troy had indeed not sensed anything.
Come to think of it, Dr. Kirchoff was looking in the direction of the main building when he warned me, and Master Troy stays deep in the forest all the time, he couldn't be the one.
Having extended the range of his Spatial Sight, Eryndor glanced at the team which had once again entered his range and realized that they were indeed returning to the main building of the Training Camp.
They had no intention of letting curiosity take the reins and follow the beasts to see their fight with a lone disciple.
Eryndor didn't stop though, he continued running further away, with the group of six legged scaled monkeys hot on his trails while he continued extending the range of his Spatial Sight to keep that team in his sights.
Finally, he withdrew his Spatial Sight once the team was getting closer and closer to the layer of forest closest to the Training Camp. He was safe.
With a sigh, he stopped running and looked at the beasts opposite him. The beasts didn't immediately attack but surrounded him from all sides, earning an approval from Eryndor who cracked his neck with an insane smile.
"Ahhh, time to fight finally."
His presence underwent a shift, his expression which was smiling just now was still the same, but one could sense the undertone of ruthlessness in it.
It was as if the universe suddenly deemed him much more important. His very existence became heavier, with even his body moving subtly into a perfect combat position.
The six legged scaled monkey closest to him stiffened from the sheer amount of unbelievable pressure its soul was experiencing at the moment.
Its thoughts blacked out, replaced by an absolute command of subservience. The will to fight in its eyes was snuffed out, with fear and awe taking its place.
To the bewilderment of many beasts which had surrounded the human, and were waiting for their leader's command, their leader in question trembled and bowed before the human.
The human with an almost imperceptible golden crown on his head.
Of course, none of the beasts could see or even sense the crown through any means.
However, since they weren't in the range of suppression effect brought about by Eryndor's eldritch form, they still saw the abnormal state of their leader.
Throwing caution out of the wind, all the beasts charged at the human with hate in their eyes.
Yes, Eryndor was in his eldritch form, because he intended to finish the fight early.
It was because he thought of something which could go wrong.
