Eryndor got quite scared when he saw the enthusiastic eyes of Master Iyu looking straight at him.

Fuck, did I say something wrong?

Just as he was contemplating how to deal with the situation, Master Iyu asked, this time out in the physical world instead of communicating in the mind.

"Are you scared for your life?"

Eryndor's words were caught in his throat as he gazed at the man before him, looking at him with an expectant expression.

He decided to come true to the master and nodded.

Master Iyu laughed, a complete flip from his initial expression and body language. He spoke.

"I knew it. You weren't worried about the Training Camp but for your life. Why would someone care about an external entity? Only one's life is important.

"One only cares for their own life."

There was a pleased look on the middle aged man's face as he laughed once again before resuming to speak.

"Brat, you have my spirit when it comes to these matters. You're definitely cautious enough.

"These sky reaching bamboos are literally in some country which is not too close to the border of the Training Camp, and you're still worried about your life? You'll definitely live for long."

Eryndor had a look of realization on his face as he understood what took place.

Jeez, old man I'm not like you. There's a high chance that this master is extremely paranoid about his life.

These types of people research each and everything, stay in their fortified house, and make the minimal amount of effort and participation in things to avoid dying of random stuff.

Damn, I'm only doing this because Dr. Kirchoff said that I'll die if I don't reach level three in three power systems within three months.

I am simply searching in what ways I could die so that I could make thorough preparations to save myself in case I didn't reach level three in three power systems.

Old man, I am normally not paranoid about my life, you understood it incorrectly.

While Eryndor was in his thoughts, Master Iyu continued.

"Given my personality, I've heard about the sky reaching bamboos as well, and I've already researched them.

"Well, technically speaking, there's always a non zero chance you may die from anything, including these sky reaching bamboos as well."

The middle aged man paused, and spread out his palm. Immediately, Eryndor saw a paper appear.

Spatial treasure?

Eryndor's eyes narrowed. This was a term he had picked up from the memories of the various disciples.

Apparently the spatial treasures he had read about in numerous novels back on Earth during his teenage years was a real thing here.

He couldn't get an accurate grasp of the internal space of the spatial treasures from the memories of the disciples.

Some memories spoke about a space which was small enough to barely fit a few weapons, while some memories held visual scenes of a large house being taken out from a spatial treasure.

Well, it might depend on the spatial treasure after all. I wonder if I can get one?

It would serve well as a show off if I manage to live and go back to Earth hehe.

Even though his thoughts went off track, he didn't forget about his reason for coming here.

His gaze travelled to the paper, just in time for Master Ivy to push it towards him.

"Take it, these are the possible ways in which you could die from the sky reaching bamboos. Be careful. Is that all you wanted to ask?

"And oh yea, if you found more ways in which you could die, you can share them with me."

Eryndor received the paper, but didn't immediately begin studying it.

Since he was in the presence of a master and had paid for a meeting, he decided to ask a few more questions regarding the other incidents as well.

He definitely wouldn't have done this if it was some other master.

They would've questioned the origin of his information and might've even asked him in return about why he was asking about all the other pieces of information.

After all, those were not the questions you asked a master.

They commanded a certain level of respect, and their time shouldn't be wasted.

This was also why he scheduled a meeting with a master in spatial domain. Because asking him about sky reaching bamboos which also came under spatial domain wouldn't be inappropriate.

However, now that Master Iyu had revealed himself to be afraid of death to the point of paranoia, his following questions should more or less come under the same 'fear of death' domain, right?

Eryndor kept the paper aside, and cleared his throat before asking about the Laughing sect.

"Oh those? No worries, I am the one assigned to guard against their intrusion. The easiest way to guard against them is to roam around with sufficiently powerful balls.

"Just stuff their mouth with those balls when they laugh and their surging power level would go down to normal. Again, keep researching your own means to guard against them as well.

"Here is a list of ways in which they are known to take revenge."

Eryndor then asked him about the Whispering Well.

"Don't go anywhere near it. Take this paper, its list of ways in which it could kill you."

Eryndor then followed up with the issue of the wandering cultivator who could trigger cultivation deviations.

"Oh him? He'll be dealt with soon. We can't allow a person like that around Training Camp.

"Alright, that's all. I need to leave for other matters now."

Eryndor understood when to stop, so he thanked the man and politely sent him off before leaving the room with a stack of papers.

Of course, he didn't display them like an idiot, but had long hidden them under his robes.

He didn't stop for anything after leaving the room, and headed straight towards his room.

Once he was inside the familiar small space, he took out the papers and began reading them.
