I am an Eldritch Entity
Chapter 291 291: Death of eight disciples
Eryndor scanned through this information and continued walking along one of the well paved roads before entering the forest.
His eyes narrowed as he recollected the information.
There's no information about the anomaly. I don't know if they are hiding it from the rest of the disciples or they genuinely didn't manage to gather any information.
Then next was the fact that their team had lost eight members. That was more than what I expected, I guess I didn't look correctly at their numbers last time.
In total they had thirty members, so they basically lost more than one fourth of their members in one go? Damn, and that too under the leadership of Master Troy?
Lastly, the information talks about how Master Troy relied on a sealing array formation to injure and seal the entity before taking the group away.
Eryndor's expression was a little heavy.
That anomaly is so powerful? Could it be the biggest danger three months from now?
He shook his head. There wasn't much he could do for now anyway.
At most, if I fail to join the department one month later, then I'll have to scan the memories of disciples who are in the team.
Eh no, I better do it now so that if I come across the anomaly then I can at least save myself.
Eryndor was in the forest but only in the shallow layer, there were still plenty of disciples around him.
He took a look around.
None are from that team though.
He shrugged, and dropped the topic. It wasn't uncommon for him to find no trace of twenty two disciples since the total population of disciples in the Training Camp was easily in several millions.
The Training Camp didn't follow the model of the normal schools or universities on Earth.
There was no admission period here, disciples were free to join at any time and date.
Due to expert array formation masters and smiths, the building could continue to be expanded without any possibility of failure or collapse, not to mention there existed plenty of spatial means which didn't need any change in the external structure to expand the space inside.
Eryndor shook his head lightly, and continued heading deeper into the forest.
He didn't attempt to fight any beasts. He had enough things on him as it is.
If he fought beasts, where was he supposed to hide the loot?
Approximately after an hour of jogging, he reached one of the safer doors to the black market.
It held the same design as the one which stood at the end of the route full of traps.
It was a huge door, with even its knob standing at the height of six feet. It was brown at the edges, and white in the center.
There was an eye in the middle, exhibiting no unusual colors in any of its parts, but a single look at it, and Eryndor felt the eye could see at his naked self through his robes and light armor.
What a pervert.
Eryndor thought inwardly before remembering a thing he forgot about.
Just in case, he left the range of the eye, and hid behind a tree before modifying his Sovereign's Cloak to look like the black robes sold by the black market officials.
He then pushed open the door, feeling the familiar blindness in his eyes which forced him to close them.
When everything felt normal, he opened his eyes to see that he had entered the mall-like black market once again, just that his point of entry was different than last time.
He didn't waste any time before going straight to the shop selling information from last time.
With the hood of his Sovereign's Cloak covering almost his entire face, he wasn't afraid of his identity leaking.
Not to mention the way I wear my Sovereign's Cloak also disguises my height and build.
Once he stated his intention, he was taken into a private room, where a different young woman welcomed him.
Eryndor took his seat and stated his intention.
"I want information on the hunter who suddenly didn't know how to anticipate beast patterns, forgot where to place traps, and can't plan a hunt anymore.
"Everything including the location, his current state, and mostly, if there is any danger around him."
The young woman was silent for a good few moments after she heard his request.
Is she somehow taking mental instructions from someone else? Or is her mind connected to some database where she is searching if they have such information?
Eryndor didn't voice out his guess, but patiently waited.
After about ten seconds, the young woman nodded, and procured a thin file.
Oh? A spatial treasure? Is the rank of this young woman higher than the one who received me last time?
She put the thin file before her on the table and stated the price.
Eryndor knew from last time that they would only push the file towards him after he paid for the information, or he could also get them to send the information on his badge.
The badges of disciples could receive and store information as long as the correct mechanism was used to transmit information. They wouldn't need to give out their personal information for them to connect with their badge.
Cheaper than I expected.
Eryndor paid for the information, and asked them to send the information to his badge.
He then thought if he would need some other information.
After a second or two of contemplation, he internally shook his head, and stood up.
Thanking the young woman, he saw himself out and walked towards another shop.
He had already walked through the entire place when he came here last time, therefore he mostly remembered what place sold what kind of things.
Therefore, he didn't need to go on a search this time and already had a plan in his mind.
Entering the shop before him, he looked at the various items displayed in glass cabinets, and put forward his request.
