"Tell me, what have you done to Lorna?"

Scarlet Witch, emotionally charged, unleashed a surge of crimson energy that inadvertently pushed back both Ebony Maw and Supergiant, who were teaming up against her.

Ebony Maw smiled mysteriously before speaking in a calm tone. "No matter what Lorna means to you, she’s already dead. A year ago, when she refused to swear allegiance to our master, her head was severed on the spot."

"This is impossible!" Scarlet Witch roared, her emotions spiraling out of control, causing the crimson energy surrounding her to flicker and waver.

"Now!" Supergiant's eyes flared with white light, and in that instant, she used her mental powers to briefly seize control of Scarlet Witch, preventing her from unleashing the dangerous crimson energy.

"It’s over. I’ll cut off your head too and preserve that beautiful face of yours."

As the crimson energy faded from Scarlet Witch, Ebony Maw pressed down with his left hand, sending several iron plates shooting forward like cold blades, aimed directly at her neck.

At that critical moment, a gust of cold wind swept by. Scarlet Witch seemed to vanish into thin air. The iron plates pierced the air and embedded themselves in the wall.

In the next instant, a silver-haired young man appeared in the corner of the rooftop, supporting Scarlet Witch.

"So fast!" Both Supergiant and Ebony Maw’s expressions shifted. Despite their enhanced vision, they couldn’t keep up with the young man's movements.

"Sis, are you okay?" Quicksilver gasped, clearly having rushed over to support the slightly dizzy Scarlet Witch. He then turned his cold gaze toward Ebony Maw and Supergiant. "You two dare to hurt my sister!"

"Another one..."

Ebony Maw and Supergiant were momentarily speechless. Lorna’s metal control, Scarlet Witch’s telepathy and energy manipulation, and now Quicksilver’s super speed— all three were top-tier superhumans, and they all came from the same family?

Where did these extraordinary genes come from?

"As expected. Our surprise attack was the right choice. We cannot allow them to grow any stronger. This planet called Earth is more dangerous and harder to deal with than we imagined!"

Ebony Maw opened his arms, his demeanor shifting to seriousness. His body floated in the air, causing the entire building to tremble slightly.

A large amount of wall fragments detached from the building, manipulated by Ebony Maw, and densely surrounded Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch.

"You can’t escape!" Supergiant’s eyes flashed white as she focused on Quicksilver. Fortunately, Scarlet Witch covered his eyes just in time, using her crimson energy to block the mental attacks.

"The ones who can’t escape are you two." Quicksilver smiled faintly as he supported Scarlet Witch. "When did I say I came here alone?"

"Hmm?" Ebony Maw, sensing something, looked up. A laser beam descended, and he hastily manipulated an object to block it, barely managing to stop the laser. But then, another laser came from behind and struck him in the back, knocking him from the air and onto the rooftop.

Supergiant looked around, and with two loud crashes, a new gold-and-red painted Iron Man armor, and an older silver original version dropped from the sky, landing on either side of the rooftop.

"You’re late. We already finished one round," Iron Man complained, glancing at the Iron Man armor with the cannon on its back opposite him.

"Oh? I see you haven't solved things yet," War Machine chuckled. "That last shot was pretty satisfying."

"Reinforcements?" Ebony Maw muttered as he got up from the ground. Looking ahead, he saw sparks spinning into a wheel, and then the Sorcerer Guardian of the New York Sanctum, Wang, stepped forward.

With a whoosh, Spider-Man swung in and landed next to Iron Man.

"It’s time for you to surrender. Now, this is the true strength of New York!"

Scarlet Witch, Quicksilver, Iron Man, War Machine, Wang, and Spider-Man surrounded Ebony Maw and Supergiant.

"Has Cull Obsidian been taken care of? Useless," Ebony Maw muttered, shaking his head as he listened to the silence below. He then glanced at the six people surrounding him and spoke cryptically, "Believe me, the war has only just begun."

Wakanda Battlefield.

On the grassy plains outside the city, the powerful support from the Kingdom of Carl had halted the tide of invading alien lifeforms at the city’s outskirts. The remains of blood and flesh formed a high wall and small hills.

The battle had been successfully reversed and brought under control.

In the underground control room, nearly everything had been frozen into an icy domain, with the General of the Dead and Proxima Midnight trapped at its center.

"Looks like we’ve succeeded," Lucy and the others stood at the palace gates, gazing out at the stabilized battlefield, letting out a collective sigh of relief.

But Raina remained uneasy, her brow furrowed. She held her chest with both hands, murmuring, "Something doesn’t feel right."

"Raina, what’s wrong?" Lucy asked, glancing at her with curiosity.

Raina slowly replied, "Because it’s Thanos. We don’t know how long he’s been secretly plotting while Boss was away from Earth. If that was all, Boss wouldn’t still be wary."

Lucy frowned, picking up on her train of thought. "So, Thanos definitely has a backup plan. This war is far from simple."

Shuri, though not fully understanding, wore a serious expression.

At that moment, a subtle sound emanated from the frozen control room.

Lucy and the others turned to see a mist of space distortion appearing within the room.

Then, a tall and muscular figure stepped out from the mist, his left hand adorned with a golden gauntlet, while his right hand casually held Loki, who was dressed in a robe. Loki clutched the Tesseract, and the two emerged from the space mist.

"That’s..." Raina and Lucy’s pupils contracted sharply. The alien figure before them stood at least four or five meters tall, with a bald head, wearing armor, his body muscular and his skin a strange purple color—

Just as Kyle had described!

It was Thanos!

Thanos himself had arrived! He didn’t have any other backup plans—he was the backup!

Raina quickly focused on Thanos’ left hand, where the Infinite Gauntlet now held two glowing stones— red and orange.

That meant the Reality Stone and the Soul Stone—Thanos had successfully obtained two of the stones!

"Quite a mess," Thanos observed as he surveyed the frozen General of the Dead and Proxima Midnight. With a simple clench of his fist, the ice melted under the light of the Reality Stone, which blinked and dissolved the frost.

Soon, General of the Dead and Proxima Midnight broke free. Upon seeing Thanos, they immediately knelt in respect and greeted him, "Master."

"Keep him under watch," Thanos commanded, tossing Loki in front of the General of the Dead and snatching the Tesseract from his hands. He then turned his gaze toward Lucy and the others outside the door, his eyes landing on the device in Lucy’s hand that contained the Mind Stone. "Now, that makes four."

"Lucy," Raina communicated telepathically to her. "I’ll hold him off. You take the Mind Stone and get out of here. If more than three stones fall into his hands, we won’t stand a chance!"
