The space rippled like waves, and all the defenses of the Asgard crumbled. Kyle and Raina seamlessly entered the heart of the Asgard, landing on the solid Bifrost.
"Who are you...?" The first gatekeeper, clad in armor and wielding a holy sword, stared incredulously at the newcomers. They hadn't arrived via the Bifrost but materialized directly from space, bypassing the Asgard's protective barrier. This was utterly inconceivable!
Furthermore, the gatekeeper, blessed with a good thousand mile Vision, detected no trace of energy from Kyle and Raina.
Understandably, even the weakest lifeform's remains would emit faint energy, detectable by his senses. Yet, these two were utterly void of any energy signature.
Were they perhaps like the giants?
Cold sweat beaded on the gatekeeper's brow. This was beyond his comprehension.
Kyle glanced at the gatekeeper, his eyes narrowing as if peering into his very soul. The gatekeeper paled but maintained his defensive stance. Then, Kyle spoke casually: "Don't worry, I mean no harm. Where is Odin? I need to see him."
"His Majesty Odin, he is in the Asgardian Palace..."
Hearing Kyle address Odin by name, the gatekeeper wiped the sweat from his brow and forced himself to remain calm. He sheathed his holy sword and said with difficulty, "I will inform His Majesty Odin immediately!"
"Alright," Kyle and Raina remained still, surveying the Bifrost's surroundings.
Indeed, though the Asgard had been rebuilt, the riverbeds beneath the Bifrost were still cracked, devoid of life. Black smoke still clung to the sky – the war's scars would take a long time to heal.
Less than ten seconds later...
With the thunder of hooves, Odin arrived, clad in silver armor, riding a six-winged flying horse. But before reaching Kyle, he reined in his horse, dismounted, and knelt on one knee. "Greetings, Lord God!"
The gatekeeper was speechless. Odin, ruler of Asgard, who had single-handedly challenged the giants and was invincible in the starry sky, was kneeling before a younger man.
If this were witnessed by the lifeforms of Nine Realms, it would surely cause a great uproar!
"Rise," Kyle said calmly. "From now on, you represent the supreme authority of the Nine Realms of the universe. You need not kneel to anyone."
Odin, now a towering figure with a strong, determined face and a mature beard, looked up at Kyle. "This kneel is to express my gratitude for your recognition all those years ago," he said earnestly.
Finally, Odin bowed formally to Kyle and then rose from the Bifrost.
He gestured towards the golden palace behind him. "Lord God, please come inside."
"Mm." Kyle nodded. He looked at the gatekeeper beside him. "The gatekeeper you've chosen for the Asgard possesses a good temperament and will. However, his strength is lacking."
Odin sighed slightly. "Lord God, he is currently the strongest lifeform suitable to be the gatekeeper in this starry sky."
"Come here," Kyle mused for a moment and then spoke to the gatekeeper.
"Yes."
The gatekeeper respectfully approached Kyle, who gently touched his forehead with two fingers. The gatekeeper let out a blood-curdling scream, clutching his eyes in agony.
"Lord God, what...?" Odin looked at Kyle uncertainly.
"Just watch," Kyle said calmly, observing the gatekeeper writhe in pain. Raina, standing beside him, wore a thoughtful smile.
After a moment...
The gatekeeper suddenly lifted his head, his eyes now emitting a brilliant light, as if piercing through the entire starry sky of Nine Realms.
He stared blankly at his surroundings, then excitedly bowed to Kyle, exclaiming, "Lord God, thank you so much!"
"That is the Eye of Heimdall, capable of perceiving all. With it, you are worthy of guarding the Bifrost built by the Tesseract." Kyle remarked casually as he, along with Raina, followed Odin to the newly constructed golden palace on the wasteland.
The Asgardian Palace.
Under Odin's guidance, no soldiers or guards dared to impede their path, and everyone watched in amazement as Odin personally escorted Kyle and Raina.
Odin remarked with a sigh, "Now, more and more peaceful races are emerging, and the governance and unification of Nine Realms is progressing smoothly."
This unification did not entail the Asgard absorbing all the lifeforms of the Nine Realms. Instead, it involved the Asgard acting as a clear authority, establishing distinct boundaries for each realm, and extinguishing any potential sparks of war within the starry sky.
Lifeforms of a particular realm were permitted to act only within their respective realms, prohibited from crossing boundaries. That was the essence of unity!
Of course, this process significantly enhanced Odin's prestige and reputation, ensuring his name would be etched into the annals of cosmic history.
Odin led Kyle and Raina to a reception hall and took a seat.
The young and dignified queen of the Asgard, as if aware of their esteemed status, personally served them drinks and fruit before gracefully departing.
"Lord God..." Odin hesitated for a moment, then looked at Kyle and said, "The Tesseract and the Eternal Flame you bestowed upon me earlier – I utilized them to construct the Bifrost and forge the Eternal Weapons, and I even enchanted the Uru metal. Now, both these items can be returned to you."
"No need," Kyle shook his head. "As for the Tesseract, find an opportunity to place it on Earth in the future."
"Earth?" Odin was stunned. Though he had traversed Nine Realms and visited countless places, he was unfamiliar with Earth.
Raina smiled slightly and explained, "It's a blue planet in the Milky Way galaxy of the human world. Soon, it will give birth to the human race and related civilizations."
"I see," Odin replied, though inwardly, he was even more perplexed.
He couldn't understand why such a powerful being would mention such an insignificant planet, let alone instruct him to leave the Tesseract there in the future.
But it didn't matter. Since it had been mentioned by God, Earth would inevitably become the center of the future human world!
"As for the Eternal Flame, you may retain it for now. Later, you will understand its true purpose," Kyle said with a calm smile.
"Yes, Lord God," Odin quickly replied. Just as he was about to speak further, a small figure burst into the hall.
It was a little girl, just over three years old. Exquisitely beautiful and incredibly cute, she was barefoot, a bell on her wrist jingling with each step.
She waddled towards Odin, calling out in a sweet voice, "Father."
"Why are you here?" Seeing the little girl, Odin smiled bitterly and introduced her to Kyle, "This is my daughter, Hela."
"..."
Kyle looked at the three-year-old Hela, struggling to reconcile this adorable little girl with the fierce and cold Queen of Death.
