The Soul Stone embedded in the Infinite Gauntlet blinked with a dazzling orange light. Thanos calmly gazed at Raina and the others outside the door, seemingly able to hear
Raina's thoughts as they raced through her mind.
His eyes narrowed dangerously as he spoke. "Trying to run? Stay right there."
He gently clenched his left hand, which wore the Infinite Gauntlet, and the Reality Stone embedded in it glowed red. Instantly, the terrain from the basement to the outside began to shift dramatically. The walls surrounding the underground control room vanished, and high walls rose behind Raina and the others, blocking their escape.
Seeing this, Lucy took a deep breath and tucked the gemstone device into her pocket. A surge of cold air swirled around her as she said to Raina, "Raina, don't use telepathy anymore. He has the Soul Stone now; he can directly steal our thoughts."
"How will we know if we don't try?" Raina's eyes glimmered with cold white light. She pressed both hands forward with all her strength, activating her telekinetic domain to its maximum, enveloping a fifty-meter radius, including Thanos himself.
The Death General and Black Swam immediately froze, unable to move an inch. Despite having anticipated this, they gritted their teeth in frustration. This ability was simply too overpowering. Supergiant and Ebony Maw were no better; they had no means to resist.
"Such a level of telekinesis— impressive. Even after years of initiating war across the stars, I still find it rare," Thanos remarked, unable to suppress his admiration. He felt as though he was sinking into the mud. After all, without the Mind Stone, even he couldn't completely ignore Raina's telepathic abilities that had reached this level.
But that didn't mean he couldn't move.
Using his physical strength to resist the control of the telekinetic field, Thanos took a step forward. Under Raina's slightly pale gaze, he clenched his left hand again, and the Reality Stone blinked red.
"Whoosh—"
A burst of intensely high-temperature red flames suddenly erupted, as if conjured from thin air. The flames condensed into a pillar of fire, charging toward Raina, who was controlling the telekinetic field.
"No way!" Lucy raised both hands in front of her. She released a massive amount of freezing air, creating a thick ice wall just in time to block the fierce attack of the fire pillar.
"Sizzle!!!"
The violent collision of ice and fire sent dense steam billowing into the air.
The white light in Raina's eyes dimmed, and she nearly lost her balance, almost falling. Fortunately, Lucy was right there to steady her.
"Are you okay?" Lucy asked, concern etched on her face.
"They broke out of my domain," Raina replied, her gaze still fixed on the area obscured by the steam.
"Boom!"
Suddenly, a loud explosion echoed from behind. Shuri had used the laser cannon on her suit to blast a hole through the wall. The gust of wind from the blast cleared some of the steam, and she didn't forget to fire a signal flare outward.
A distress signal flare.
"Watch out!" Lucy cried out in alarm.
In the area already partially cleared of steam, a long black spear pierced through the air like a large arrow, heading straight for Shuri.
It was too fast!
Shuri's human reflexes weren't enough to react in time.
Just as the spear was about to impale Shuri, Raina's eyes widened in shock. She locked her gaze on the spear, and her previously dim eyes suddenly blazed with intensity. "Stop!"
Her telekinetic force, almost tangible like an air wall, halted the black spear mid-air, leaving it suspended just half a centimeter from Shuri's body.
"Boom!"
A purple lightning bolt split the steam in half, revealing Thanos' tall and imposing figure. He appeared a bit impatient, continuing to wield the Reality Stone's power. He conjured several spheres of lightning and hurled them toward the three women.
The massive spherical lightning balls, each with a radius of at least three meters, crackled with electric light. No one in the area could withstand a single hit from them.
Lucy quickly pressed her hands to the floor, generating large-scale ice walls with freezing air. However, the unbreakable ice proved useless against the lightning spheres. One after another, the ice walls shattered into rubble, and the lightning spheres charged toward Lucy and the others.
In this final life-and-death moment, three figures suddenly leaped into the hole, rushing to shield Lucy and her companions from the last lightning sphere. The air turned scorching hot from the electrical discharge.
Lucy's eyes widened in surprise.
It was Captain America, holding a circular shield, Black Panther in his Vibranium suit, and Deadpool in his usual red costume—
Captain America and Black Panther managed to block some of the lightning damage with their Vibranium shield and suit. They were fine.
However, Deadpool, who had braced himself with his body to absorb the lightning sphere, was instantly electrocuted into a pile of charred flesh. He slowly collapsed backward, causing Shuri behind him to scream in horror.
"Don't worry, he's fine."
Having witnessed Deadpool die in countless ways, Captain America wasn't surprised. He scanned Lucy and the others gravely, then looked toward Thanos and his group, asking, "What's going on here? Who are they?"
Lucy quickly replied, "It's Thanos! The one with the gauntlet is Thanos! They came to steal the Infinity Stones!"
"Thanos?" Captain America's heart skipped a beat. He and Black Panther immediately took defensive stances, only for the wall behind them to suddenly break open.
With a sharp sound like hooves, a black-flamed horse galloped through the air like a black thunderbolt, charging directly at Thanos.
"Give me the weapon!" Even Thanos got serious now. His right hand grabbed the Grim Reaper's scythe from the Death General, just as a broken, blade-less axe slashed through the air with incredible force, striking the scythe from above.
"Vroom—"
The powerful impact forced Thanos' right hand to push downward slightly. He coldly looked up to see Hellfire riding the black-flamed horse.
"Nice power." Thanos sneered coldly. He clenched his left fist as if it were a cannon shot, slamming it into the black-flamed horse's belly, and sending it flying backward.
Hellfire's green flames burned brightly, but he did not move. Using his massive body as leverage, he pushed the broken axe down onto the Grim Reaper's scythe, driving its blade into Thanos' shoulder.
The pain made Thanos' face twitch slightly, but it also fueled his excitement and calm.
Using the scythe, Thanos pushed the broken axe aside, grabbed Hellfire's neck tightly with his left hand, and lifted the scythe again with his right hand.
"Let go!"
Black Panther pounced like a wild beast, trying to pry Thanos' left fingers apart to prevent him from crushing Hellfire's neck. Captain America rushed in too, pushing down on Thanos' raised right hand to stop him from swinging the scythe.
Just as Thanos was about to raise his foot to use force, freezing air spread across the floor, freezing his legs and the ground together.
"Now's the time!" Raina's eyes gleamed with bright white light as her mental energy gathered into a point, aiming at Thanos' forehead and skull!
Even then, Thanos remained like an immovable mountain until he suddenly felt a cold, unusual sensation below his waist.
"Goodbye."
Deadpool, fully healed, had somehow slipped beneath Thanos. He waved his hand and thrust his sodium-carbon steel sword toward Thanos' lower body!
