I Am In Marvel
Chapter 684 IMUC 686 Ten Years, One-Way Passage
Ten years passed in the blink of an eye.
For most lifeforms in the Marvel universe, a decade felt like an eternity. But for Kyle and the others living on Celestial, where life was eternal, those ten years seemed like mere moments.
The real challenge, however, was the monotony.
Life, when it stretches on forever without change, can become unbearably dull. Without goals or ideals to pursue, a vast emptiness settles in, leaving a sense of powerlessness.
Even Venom found this boredom intolerable. After saying goodbye to Kyle, it decided to venture out on its own and explore the Marvel Nine Realms.
For the first half of its existence, Venom had relied on Kyle for survival. But after ten years of symbiosis, it had evolved into a super-godlike being, transcending the limits of its race. It was no longer afraid of fire or sonic; it could act independently and even consume stars.
Unbeknownst to it, Venom had become invincible— an effortless kind of invincibility.
Not long after leaving Celestial, Venom earned the title of "Planet Devourer" in the Marvel universe. Few knew that it had once been just a liquid symbiote attached to a mammalian lifeform.
Meanwhile, Kyle and Raina continued their leisurely, retirement-like existence in the God Mansion on Celestial. During this time, Kyle had Raina regularly monitor developments in the Nine Realms and report back to him.
Over the course of those ten years, the Power Stone had escalated cosmic wars to uncontrollable levels. The central battlefield of the human world was utterly destroyed, and countless stars collapsed. Once-mighty giants and elves lay dead in the void of space, their bodies too strong to decay, becoming resource mines for certain races.
Every day, billions of lives were lost.
Eventually, the Power Stone fell into someone's hands. Some rumors suggested a giant had seized it and become a tyrant, while others whispered that a weaker lifeform had hidden it away, waiting for the right moment to rise.
Regardless of who possessed it, the massive cosmic war that had raged for ten years came to an abrupt end one morning with the Power Stone's disappearance.
Yes, this large-scale cosmic conflict, which had unknowingly engulfed the Marvel Nine Realms for hundreds of billions of years, finally came to a close in the eleventh year after the Power Stone's emergence.
It was absurd yet inevitable— if the war had continued, the entire universe would have been destroyed.
On that dawn, the weaker races, hidden in darkness and forgotten corners, rejoiced at the news that the mighty giants and elves had vanished! The sky, once filled with powerful beings, was now clear, allowing the stars to shine brightly. The land, once ravaged by demonic creatures, was peaceful, revealing a vast, serene ocean.
For the first time, the Marvel Universe had truly achieved peace!
And on this day, the weaker, peace-seeking races officially rose up!
At the same time, a young man with golden hair, riding an eight-winged flying horse and wielding a long spear, created the Bifrost to traverse the starry Nine Realms. He challenged the surviving giants and elves, issuing relentless challenges!
His name was Odin!
The Nine Realms trembled as civilization erupted in chaos. No one dared to follow him— only he alone challenged the remaining giants and elves of Marvel.
Initially, the giants and elves dismissed him, viewing him as an inconsequential nuisance. But as time passed, Odin crossed the Bifrost daily, descending into their realms to issue his challenges.
Before long, their patience wore thin.
In the realm of fire, the new Flame Lord was the first to confront Odin. Most lifeforms believed Odin would surely lose, as no being's genes could surpass the strength of the giants.
After all, the giants were the powerful ancient race that emerged after the universe's birth.
Yet, this battle, which many anticipated would be a one-sided defeat, stretched on for three full days and nights!
After three days...
Odin, riding his eight-winged flying horse, returned to Asgard, weakened but still spirited, summoned by the Bifrost! Meanwhile, the new Flame Lord swore an oath, vowing to destroy Odin's homeland in the future, reminiscent of the Twilight of the Gods!
As for the outcome of their battle, no one could say for certain. But this was still Odin's divine battle! It marked the first time in the history of the Marvel Nine Realms that another lifeform had successfully challenged the giants and elves without being defeated!
This shattered the genetic curse that had kept weaker races from rising and turning the tide!
At that moment, Odin called upon the lifeforms of the Nine Realms to unite against the turbulent war on the fringes, to resist the giants and elves' imperialistic rule, and to drive them back to their original worlds.
In no time, countless lifeforms rallied to his banner, igniting a rebellion that spanned the stars!
Odin and the Asgard forces surged forward, as swiftly as a rocket! They spread the idea of ending the war with war, restricting the activities of the giants and elves, and restoring order to the chaotic Nine Realms!
...
On Celestial, at the God Mansion.
The cosmic conflicts could not reach this far. It was a peaceful and tranquil place, with flowers blooming in the courtyard. The central fountain sculpture sprayed water, and Kyle lay on a sun lounger, basking in the warm sunlight.
"Boss," Raina, dressed in a black dress, elegantly walked out of the mansion with a cup of hot coffee. She slowly sat at the corner of his chair, placing the coffee on the table beside him.
She softly said, "You succeeded."
"I had already failed long ago; now I'm just fixing the mistakes and making timely corrections," Kyle smiled faintly, holding her slender body and taking a sip of the hot coffee.
"Then, is it finished now?" Raina blinked her beautiful eyes.
"No, I've made corrections to just one part of the paper. It's not so easy to get a perfect score," Kyle shook his head. He put the cup down and gently spoke to Raina, "It must be boring for you to keep me company here."
"Not at all," Raina's delicate face broke into a smile as she lay on his chest. "I'm happy to monopolize Boss like this."
"You're not bored, but I find it a bit dull. I should find something fun to do," Kyle hugged her body and thought for a moment. "How about we go out in the year after next and explore Nine Realms?"
"Okay," Raina agreed immediately.
Now, they no longer counted time by days, but by years.
In the year after next...
Kyle and Raina left Celestial. Without the Bifrost, their passage was subtle, yet it felt like a one-way trip, where even stars and black holes had to give way and could not stand in their path!
First stop:
Kyle chose Asgard.
Taking Raina, he directly arrived at the highest realm of the Marvel universe. Compared to over a decade ago, Asgard had changed significantly. A golden palace in the shape of a celestial hall now stood atop the ruins.
