I am the Entertainment Tycoon
Chapter 880: Bloom Week at Elvenland
CHAPTER 880: BLOOM WEEK AT ELVENLAND
Sakura City’s Elvenland is more than just an amusement park; it’s a globally renowned entertainment mecca, a destination dreamt of by billions worldwide. Its fame surpasses even that of Disneyland on Earth, holding an unparalleled position in the Azure Star’s popular culture – a cultural touchstone akin to Disneyland’s significance on Earth.
While named Elvenland in tribute to Hitarashi Isuku of Elvish Studios, the park’s success has attracted other major animation studios to establish their own substantial entertainment parks within Sakura City. However, Elvish Studios’ original Elvenland remains the largest and most popular, a testament to its pioneering role in creating this entertainment hub.
Unlike many businesses that observe holidays like Bloom Week and New Year’s, Elvenland operates year-round, 365 days a year. This unwavering availability, coupled with the closure of most workplaces during Bloom Week, paradoxically resulted in even higher-than-usual crowds at Elvenland during that typically festive holiday. The park becomes a haven, a vibrant counterpoint to the city’s general holiday shutdown.
During the year’s Bloom Week, Elvenland was magical as always with Blooming decorations.
Foreign tourists crowded the gates of the place early in the morning; everyone was excited to finally be able to visit the place of their dreams.
The anticipation was palpable as eager visitors gathered at the gates of Sakura City’s Elvenland. Hearts raced with excitement and a tinge of apprehension as they stood on the threshold of the globally renowned entertainment mecca. The crowd buzzed with speculation, wondering if the park could possibly live up to its legendary reputation. They had journeyed from far and wide, united by their shared dream of experiencing the magic of Elvenland. As the seconds ticked by, their imaginations ran wild, envisioning the wonders that awaited them beyond the gates.
The sun shone brightly, casting a warm glow on the eager faces of all ages. Wide-eyed children bounced on their toes, their impatience tempered by the thrill of anticipation. Adults, too, felt a childlike wonder as they stood on the brink of escaping reality and immersing themselves in a fantastical world. The air was electric with excitement, a tangible energy that united the crowd in their shared experience.
Ethan, Emma, and their two children were swept up in the vibrant energy of the Sakura City Temple Festival yesterday. Their arrival had been a whirlwind of new experiences. They sampled exotic foods previously only glimpsed on television screens, capturing memories with photos of the city’s stunning cherry blossoms. The solemn act of making offerings and wishes at the temple added a layer of spiritual depth to their already exhilarating day. In short, their first day in Sakura City had been overwhelmingly positive and filled with joy.
But today marked a culmination of a lifelong dream. The anticipation was palpable, even for Ethan and Emma. A childlike wonder shone in their eyes as they waited for the gates of Elvenland to open. Having grown up immersed in the world of Elvenland through movies, TV shows, and anime, their excitement was entirely understandable and deeply rooted in their shared history.
Their two teenage daughters, Tasha and Selina, mirrored their parents’ enthusiasm, their excitement bubbling over with the prospect of exploring the sets of their favorite animations, acquiring cherished souvenirs, and posing for photographs with beloved characters.
Meanwhile, the younger children, Tiago (8 years old) and Carl (6 years old), were equally thrilled, their anticipation focused on the rides and the chance to meet the animated characters they knew and loved from television. The family’s collective excitement promised a day filled with unforgettable moments at Elvenland.
Finally, the moment they had all been waiting for arrived. With a grand flourish, the gates of Elvenland slowly swung open, revealing a glimpse of the magical realm within. A collective gasp escaped the crowd as they caught their first sight of the park’s interior, their eyes widening at the sight of intricate elf-inspired architecture and lush, whimsical landscaping. As they streamed through the gates, the visitors’ apprehension melted away, replaced by unfettered joy and the thrilling knowledge that their dreams were about to become reality.
As the family ventured further into Elvenland, the magical realm unveiled its wonders. The park buzzed with an almost palpable energy, its pathways teeming with costumed characters and street performers – a mischievous sprite juggling glowing orbs, a regal elf queen regally accepting bows from adoring children, a grumpy dwarf hawking suspiciously delicious-looking gingerbread. The architecture was breathtaking; intricate elf-inspired spires and arches soared towards a sky perpetually painted in shades of amethyst and rose. The landscaping was equally enchanting, featuring whimsical topiaries sculpted into fantastical creatures and blooming flowers in colours unknown in their own world – luminous blues, shimmering silvers, and a deep, velvety purple that seemed to glow from within. A gentle waterfall cascaded down a moss-covered cliff face, its water sparkling with an ethereal luminescence.
"Wow," breathed Emma, her eyes wide with wonder. "It’s even more amazing than I imagined."
Ethan chuckled, his arm around her. "What a dream."
Their teenage daughters, Tasha and Selina, had already vanished, their phones out, documenting their exploration.
"Tasha! Selina! Don’t get lost!" Emma called, her voice laced with amusement.
"Mom, relax!" Tasha called back, her voice echoing from near a towering replica of the Whispering Woods from their favourite animation series, "Mystic Glade." Selina could be seen posing dramatically next to a life-sized replica of a griffin, her expression perfectly capturing the griffin’s haughty demeanor.
The younger children, eight-year-old Tiago and six-year-old Maya, squealed with excitement as they approached a carousel pulled by miniature, winged horses. Leo, clutching Lily’s hand, pointed at a glittering, rainbow-coloured dragon.
"Look, Maya! A real dragon!"
"It’s so big!" Lily exclaimed, her eyes sparkling.
They spent the next hour lost in the enchanted rides, their laughter echoing through the park. Leo bravely rode the dragon, while Lily, slightly hesitant at first, found herself giggling uncontrollably as the carousel spun.
The family shared delicious treats – shimmering blue lemonade that tasted like blueberries and sunshine, and miniature elf cakes that tasted of honey and wildflowers. They even managed to snag a photo with the park’s mascot, a fluffy, four-legged creature resembling a cross between a squirrel and a bunny, who insisted on posing with a tiny crown perched on its head.
As the day progressed, the family’s excitement only intensified. They participated in an interactive show featuring mischievous pixies and a grumpy but ultimately kind troll, learned a simple elvish phrase from a friendly elf, and even got to try their hand at archery (much to the amusement of the onlookers and the mild chagrin of Ethan, whose arrows consistently missed the target).
As dusk settled, painting the sky in breathtaking hues, the family gathered near a shimmering lake, watching a breathtaking fireworks display that depicted scenes from Elvenland’s history. Tired but exhilarated, they made their way back to their carriage, each member clutching their souvenirs – Selina with a hand-painted griffin figurine, Tasha with a Mystic Glade map, Tiago with a dragon plushie, Maya with a tiny, glittering crown and and enormous elf princess plushie, and Ethan and Emma with a shared photo of their family, smiling radiantly against the backdrop of Elvenland’s magic. The journey back to their hotel felt shorter, filled with the echoing laughter and shared memories of a truly magical day. They knew, without a doubt, that this day in Elvenland would forever hold a special place in their hearts.
