CHAPTER 180: CHAPTER 181: THE PRESIDENT IS ANGRY (PART 2)

Ruben Campbell took a deep breath and finally extended his hand to hers for a light handshake.

"Pleasure to collaborate."

"Great!" Vera Wave turned around, walked to her seat, picked up her computer and materials, "Then let’s find a place to discuss."

Merlin Bradley and Ruben Campbell immediately packed up their things and followed her to the door.

"Vera, can I...?" A small voice came from the corner of the office, "Count me in?"

Vera turned her face and immediately saw Wang Xiaoya in the corner.

Being naturally chubbier than others, Wang Xiaoya was often ridiculed, making her especially self-conscious, always keeping a low profile and hardly speaking beyond her work. Vera didn’t even know her name.

"Of course you can." Seeing her eyes filled with both trepidation and a hint of hope, Vera instantly smiled, "Welcome!"

A hint of joy appeared on Wang Xiaoya’s chubby face as she hurriedly grabbed her things and a pen, and walked over.

The four of them walked out of the Planning Department together. Vera looked around hesitantly. Without having her own office, where could they plan?

"Let’s go by the emergency stairs. There’s a large space and it’s quiet there. I read and draw there every afternoon," Wang Xiaoya proactively suggested.

Vera’s eyes lit up, "Right, why didn’t I think of that? Let’s go!"

The group entered the emergency stairs, sat down separately on the steps, and Vera opened her laptop, explaining her creative idea and the entirety of the planning proposal to them.

Seeing everyone silent, Vera slightly furrowed her brow.

"What do you all think... Is it not... that great?!"

Merlin Bradley reached out and held her shoulder, "Vera, you... are so talented!"

"Absolutely!" Ruben Campbell nodded earnestly, "I finally understand why Director Lin took notice of your proposal."

"I think it’s great too," Wang Xiaoya chimed in.

Vera relaxed, "Then... let’s discuss how to make this plan even better."

An hour or so rushed by.

The three each played to their strengths, helping Vera refine her proposal.

Vera glanced at her watch, stood up from the steps.

"Let’s go to the PK!"

As she stepped out of the emergency stairs, heading towards the Advertising Department’s conference room, Ruben Campbell hurriedly pulled her arm.

"It’s not that conference room, it’s the top floor."

"Top floor?!" Vera raised an eyebrow in confusion, "Really?"

"For major company project decisions, they’ll invite executives from finance, marketing, and other departments to vote and decide, to ensure fairness while also testing the project’s approval from different aspects," Merlin Bradley explained.

"Then..." Vera followed them into the elevator, "Will the CEO be there?"

"No, he probably won’t attend such a minor affair," Wang Xiaoya replied.

Vera sighed in relief. Shortly after, the elevator arrived at the top floor, and they all walked to the conference room together.

Inside the conference room, Kylo Sail had already arrived with her team, and Vera took a deep breath, lifted her chin, and walked in, followed by the three others.

Kylo Sail and her subordinates simultaneously turned their heads and, seeing the three behind Vera, burst into loud laughter.

"Vera, your team is growing fast, isn’t it?"

"Of course, each one is worth two, and their combined weight is more than ours!"

"Indeed, and one even brings family along!"
