I Am the Sweetheart of Mr. CEO
Chapter 47: You’ll Be Interested
CHAPTER 47: CHAPTER 47: YOU’LL BE INTERESTED
Vera Wave pouted again, "I’m not interested in any Harry or Albert!"
Mia Davis is the kind of girl who only knows some fair-weather friends, inept second-generation rich kids. Mia deliberately makes her wait just to have one more person to mock her.
Mia Davis sneered, "How would you know without meeting them?"
Vera couldn’t be bothered with her and tried to walk past her.
"Mia!"
Behind her, a familiar male voice sounded.
Vera’s right foot that had stepped forward hit the ground, then she retracted it, turned her face, and looked toward the direction of the sound.
The corners of her lips curled up, Mia Davis’s face showed even more pride.
"I told you, you’d be interested." She walked over, stood next to the approaching man, and affectionately held his arm, "Harry, Vera is here too, why don’t you say hello?"
The man walking in was about twenty-three or twenty-four, dressed in a grey suit. His handsome face held a pair of eyes that were surprised as he looked at Vera who had turned around.
"Little... Little Vera!" Harry Snowpine’s face flashed with awkwardness, he tried to pull his arm away from Mia Davis but did not succeed. All he could do was smile at Vera, "You’re here to eat too!"
Vera laughed out of extreme anger.
"Why, is it only okay for you to come?"
She thought he was really busy in America with his graduation project and couldn’t come back, but in reality?
It was truly ironic!
Vera’s fingers slowly clenched at her side, yet her smile remained unchanged.
"I’m really sorry, Harry, I didn’t know you were coming here to eat. If I had known you were coming, I would have definitely avoided this place."
Harry Snowpine’s gaze increasingly evaded hers, "No... no need, I... we..."
"What are you afraid of her for?" Mia Davis shook Harry Snowpine’s arm unhappily, "Since we encountered each other, why not lay out the truth to avoid future trouble."
"Makes sense." Vera clenched her fingers, "Since we’ve run into each other, I’ll lay it out then. Harry, I already have a new boyfriend now, so stop calling or Whatsapp messaging me. I’ve managed to climb up to a high perch with difficulty, so what’s the point of you constantly pestering me?"
Wasn’t she supposed to cry and curse, scolding him as heartless? How did it turn into a drama reversal?
The situation’s development was entirely unexpected for Harry Snowpine, and he was suddenly stunned on the spot, unable to react.
Beside him, Mia Davis furrowed her brows as she listened to this conversation.
"Vera, stand right there! What calls and messages, darling?"
"It’s your boyfriend who pestered me. Why are you confronting me?" Vera sneered and stopped walking. "Mia, since we know each other, I’ll give you a word of advice: watch your man carefully and don’t let him keep fooling around all the time."
With that, she took two steps forward to stand in front of Harry Snowpine.
"And you, Harry, you’re not even a second-generation rich kid, yet you despise someone for not being genuine? At least they have money, but you, you ****** don’t even have money!"
"You... you don’t talk nonsense! Mia, don’t believe her nonsense. I never interacted with her, and I’ll show you my phone when we get back if you don’t believe me." After coming to his senses, Harry realized Vera was trying to provoke him and Mia Davis. He comforted Mia with a few words and then looked at Vera with a ruthless face, "Vera, don’t cause discord between Mia and me just because I don’t love you anymore. I’m truly sincere with Mia! The reason I didn’t explain earlier was because of what happened with your family, I didn’t want to upset you more. Otherwise, I would have broken up with you long ago."
