CHAPTER 1774: CHAPTER 1768: A NOT SO GOOD OUTCOME

He glanced at the great rift he had cleaved open, where clear water spilled out from the cliff walls—this was the lifeblood of the city!

This city, everything within it, was made of living things, including the ground beneath his feet. He could see faces; the ground was entirely composed of countless people or non-humans flattened like paper!

As for the buildings, they were made of people or non-human creatures embracing one another. But regardless of whether they were human or not, everything that Tang Ye saw had a humanoid form, varying in size—some tall, some short, some fat, some thin, even... some long and some wide?

For instance, the streetlights were crafted from tall and slender "people" posing in bizarre stances. Who knows how long these living beings had been standing in such positions, covered in vines or adorned with various flowers and plants, giving the city a greenish hue at first glance. That’s why, at first sight, Tang Ye thought this was an apocalyptic wasteland city.

Quickly scanning the area, Tang Ye spotted the massive white tiger doll crouched atop a distant tower—a rarity in this city as it wasn’t alive. Reflecting on what he had just witnessed on Rabbit Island, the bizarre giant trees, and the rabbit trying to build a boat to escape the island, he presumed that place symbolized "prison," but what did this place represent?

Before he could ponder further, Tang Ye saw rings of purple spores emerging in the sky. The Spider Woman stood at their center, staring at him with a face full of resentment!

Tang Ye had no interest in playing a boring game of "Statue" with her; with just one glance, he quickened his pace towards the white tiger. Yet, the next second, perhaps spurred by the damn Spider Woman, Tang Ye’s intention barely revealed itself when the white tiger leapt down from the tower, swiftly disappearing into the greenery.

"F*ck!" Tang Ye cursed, not angry at the white tiger’s retreat but because his vision was starting to blacken again!

Following his instincts, he turned around, and the moment his vision cleared again, he found himself lying in a massive pit, having crashed through several buildings made of flesh and blood, causing massive water jets to spout out!

"Damn it!"

Water mixed with flesh akin to wooden blocks flooded into the pit he was in. Muttering a curse, Tang Ye leaped out before the pit filled completely. Barely catching his breath, the Spider Woman had already teleported before him, her face ablaze with fury as if eager to tear Tang Ye to shreds!

"Stop, you must stop! If you don’t stop... die! Die! Die!"

She spat out disjointed words at Tang Ye. As her emotions fluctuated wildly, the purple spore rings broke apart into long strands, swirling in the air like little snakes!

With a hurried glance, Tang Ye knew there was no avoiding a fight, even if he couldn’t win; he had to face it head-on!

Drawing a deep breath, Tang Ye’s body emitted a massive amount of black mist, which coalesced into a dense array of tentacles, his body blooming, flesh petals unfurling!

As purple spores rained down from above like a storm, all the tentacles and flesh petals moved in unison!

Boom!

The immense force of impact from their collision nearly leveled the city of "people." The ground beneath Tang Ye’s feet fractured into a vast web, the earth sinking, dropping Tang Ye lower!

The fatigue climbed from his feet upwards, sapping Tang Ye’s strength, allowing the avalanche of purple spores to engulf him in his moment of slackening!

He barely managed to push the purple spores aside, zombie instincts wrenching a growl from him. Then, he launched into the air with force, his tentacles and flesh petals twisting and twining around him as he swung a powerful punch, directing massive billows of black mist straight at the Spider Woman!

Simultaneously, the Spider Woman let out a scream, gravity seemingly altered as all the fallen purple spores floated up, coalescing into a dense "cloud" that bore down heavily upon Tang Ye’s black mist!

Sizzle sizzle~

As they collided, it was like fresh pork belly dropped into hot oil, black mist and purple spores devouring each other, diminishing rapidly!

Thud!

With a tremendous noise, Tang Ye’s flesh petals crashed forward but were blocked completely by the purple spores!

Roar!

Bent over the ground, Tang Ye couldn’t help but let out a roar of anger. Seeing the opponent so close, he forcibly retracted part of his flesh molecules to form an arm, and with the fatigue overwhelming him, swung a punch upwards!

Thud!

The punch hit like a cannonball with a great explosion, spreading a terrifying shockwave in all directions. He and the opponent flew from the ground to the sky but quickly plunged back heavily to the ground!

At this moment, the sky was completely obscured, either muddied by black mist or shrouded thickly by the spore cloud!

As the battle continued, Spider Woman’s rage peaked; every attack carried the intent to tear him apart. Though Tang Ye was also blazing with anger, the fatigue wrapping him left him powerless, always at a disadvantage. If this persisted, Tang Ye knew his fate wouldn’t be good!

Yet, even so, Tang Ye and his opponent clashed from left to right like two massive bulldozers, laying waste to the living city, with floodwaters submerging everything. Occasionally, giant waves surged up during their skirmishes!

They then fought from right to left, from ground to sky, every collision leaving indelible scars upon the earth!

Gradually, the fatigue weighing on Tang Ye worsened. As one of his flesh petals entangled the opponent, he suddenly let out a muffled groan, losing all strength as his body’s diversified attack organs, including the flesh petal ensnaring the opponent, went limp.

"Done..."

The overwhelming weak feeling allowed Tang Ye to utter just one word. He wanted to do something, but utterly drained of strength, could only watch helplessly as he was caught by the opponent, plummeting from thousands of meters in the air towards the ground, and then seeing the sharp spider legs stabbing towards him,

In another nonexistent yet existent city street, Lu Xiaojie stared intently at the giant painting stained with crow’s blood. She didn’t know how long she had been looking, but she was sure it wasn’t short, seeing no changes on the paintings made her uneasy.

"What are you doing?"

She yelled at the painting, naturally addressing Tang Ye. She instinctively urged him, knowing he couldn’t hear her, but she tried to remain calm, realizing she couldn’t wait any longer. She had to do something, otherwise, she’d see no result, rendering all her efforts nonexistent!
