CHAPTER 1778: CHAPTER 1772: YOU AND I FEEL DIFFERENTLY

Seeing Tang Ye deny it, Lu Xiaojie gave him a deep look but didn’t ask anything further. She stretched her body; though she still appeared weak, she was much better than before.

"That’s about right."

"What should we do next?"

"What can we do? Just keep going, of course."

"This..." Tang Ye fell silent all of a sudden, and Lu Xiaojie noticed something unusual, looking at him curiously.

"I sense you have questions for me."

"Indeed, I do."

"Then go ahead and ask."

"Staying here for a long time and taking more medicine have no connection, right?"

"Of course not. That medicine only lets you consume what you previously couldn’t. As you become more a part of this place, your time here lengthens."

"Uh... then how many more do we need to deal with now?"

"The last one."

"Okay, and if I come back next time, can I solve the rest of them at once?"

"Certainly."

"Dairya... I mean the other one, is she completely dead?"

"What are you thinking? She’s nearly invincible here; you can’t kill her. Killing her once is like snatching some food from her. To kill her here, you’d need the ability to kill her hundreds of times, essentially starving her! Maybe then she’d be utterly dead, but you likely wouldn’t be foolish enough to try. To really deal with her, you’ll have to do it outside. If you stubbornly try here, sorry, even if you succeed, I couldn’t handle it."

"Also, I have good news for you. After killing Dairya once, she might not appear for a long time."

"Haha, what great news..."

"Hey, don’t waste this time; it’s enough for you to take out the remaining six beasts."

"Hope it goes smoothly next."

"Of course, let’s go." Lu Xiaojie waved her hand at Tang Ye again, and he followed closely behind her. Even though he was a bit anxious, having solved three, he wondered how long he’d been asleep in the "real world"...

Just as Tang Ye pondered this, suddenly "thud," Tang Ye snapped out of it and looked over. Lu Xiaojie stumbled and fell, the veins on her neck bulging, creeping up to her cheeks, turning black swiftly. Her face twisted in pain, and her breathing became rapid.

Tang Ye stepped forward, trying to help her up, but Lu Xiaojie blocked him, hoarsely saying, "Stay back!"

At her words, Tang Ye halted quickly. After a moment, her symptoms vanished, the protruding black veins returned to normal, and she gasped heavily, casting a glance at Tang Ye. She managed to stand up from the ground again.

"Can you hold on? If not, we’ll go next time." Tang Ye asked, realizing she had paid a steep price to lift his own restrictions.

Yet, Lu Xiaojie was indifferent to Tang Ye’s concern and snapped back, "Worried about me? You should be more worried about yourself; my condition isn’t as bad as yours."

Her words made Tang Ye purse his lips. Maybe she was right, his situation could be worse than hers, but he wouldn’t realize it until he "returned."

Having said that, Lu Xiaojie moved her body and took a few steps forward. Though her steps were unsteady, she could move freely. Then she gestured to Tang Ye and led him toward a giant half-kneeling in the distance.

Not long after reaching the giant’s feet, Lu Xiaojie said to Tang Ye, "Here we are."

"Hmm?" Tang Ye looked up, a bit confused, "What are we doing here?"

"No need for complications. I’ve discovered many paths, hehe..." Lu Xiaojie gave Tang Ye a mysterious smile, then clambered onto the giant’s instep, Tang Ye hesitated for a moment, then followed.

Following Lu Xiaojie, they climbed up the giant’s thigh. Upon reaching its abdomen, she grabbed something and yanked hard; the next moment, fresh water gushed out. When Tang Ye looked again, a window had appeared before Lu Xiaojie, revealing a family living room inside.

"Whoa."

"Amazing, right?"

"I think it’s creepy."

"Alright, let’s skip the chatter and hurry!"

Lu Xiaojie first squeezed in, but strangely, her figure didn’t appear in the living room; instead, she vanished into thin air!

"Huh?" Tang Ye hesitated for a moment, then followed inside. As he passed halfway through the window, his eyes opened wide. The living room twisted into a vortex, rapidly stretching into a deep red passage!

"What is this..." He surveyed the surroundings; the floor, ceiling, and walls were all made of flesh, fresh, with some parts even gently pulsating!

Looking back, the window he entered from had vanished, replaced by a passage of deep red flesh, its end a dark void.

"What are you looking at? Hurry up." Lu Xiaojie urged from ahead, prompting Tang Ye to turn his head back.

"Follow me." Lu Xiaojie signaled to Tang Ye and began edging forward slowly.

The passage was narrow, adults couldn’t stand, only crawl through. Tang Ye watched while crawling, soon imagining he was inside a queen’s nest, for it was eerily similar.

Thus, Tang Ye and Lu Xiaojie crawled through this flesh passage for nearly five or six minutes. The narrow corridor gradually widened, and they could finally stand and walk normally.

This passage branched out everywhere, with multiple intersections every ten meters, leading who knows where. Tang Ye was puzzled; Lu Xiaojie seemed to discover this route to the destination for the first time, yet she appeared intimately familiar with it!

"Is this your first time here?"

"How do you know?"

"Just guessing, but you seem very familiar with this place."

"Confusing, huh? I’m different from you; what I perceive here is different from what you perceive, hard to explain. You just need to know we interpret differently."

"Alright."

After walking for another seven or eight minutes, they finally reached the end. Ahead, the darkness of the passage faded swiftly as they advanced step by step, and the next moment, Lu Xiaojie’s feet lifted off the ground, flying directly toward Tang Ye!

"What’s happening?"
