Chapter 1787 - 1781 Fulfill My Promise 1
CHAPTER 1787: CHAPTER 1781 FULFILL MY PROMISE 1
Tang Ye looked around with interest at the vortices appearing one after another. With all twelve animals dealt with, where would he go next?
But as more vortices appeared, the surrounding space gradually seemed like a beehive, dense enough to make one’s scalp tighten involuntarily, and Tang Ye’s brow furrowed as well.
This situation... seems a bit off?
If placed before, the space around him would have shattered into another scene by now, but currently, space is only continuously distorting without any other changes occurring.
Knowing too little about this place, Tang Ye didn’t know what such a situation meant, and the relaxation he had just felt was replaced by vigilance once again. Soon, he suddenly heard a "clang," and the countless transparent vortices that had distorted the space vanished instantly. He hurriedly looked toward the sound, seeing through the window that the lamppost outside had fallen, smashing harshly onto the roof tiles.
"What kind of trick is this now?"
Tang Ye muttered, taking a step forward, and the moment he moved, the wall where the window was filled with cracks crawling from the base, rapidly covering the entire wall in front of him!
Before he could ponder what was happening, he sensed something, abruptly lifting his foot as a green sprout broke through the floor tiles forcefully growing out!
The entire house creaked at this moment, and to be on the safe side, Tang Ye did not take any risks, and he burst through the wall to escape the house, which collapsed with a thunderous crash the next second!
Amidst the billowing dust, Tang Ye was stunned because he saw the distant darkness rapidly disappearing as a grayish substance devoured it. Looking back, he simultaneously heard a loud noise, as the green sprout grew uncontrollably, quickly becoming a towering tree that split the house into countless fragments!
The scattered fragments flew in all directions, most disappearing without a trace. Occasionally, the sight of scattered boards and pieces of the wall made it difficult to connect to the notion that there was once a house here.
He turned to look in the distance, but now, where once was pitch darkness was entirely occupied by gray. He noticed the ground beneath his feet had turned to bare, hard soil, while the ground began softening. Soon, more green sprouts appeared around him, and under uncontrollable growth, countless trees emerged before his eyes!
A phenomenal power seemed to be transforming this space, revitalizing the entire land with boundless life!
A sudden roar caught Tang Ye off guard as a shadow enveloped him. Looking up at the Sky, he saw a giant dragon, twenty meters long with dual wings, gliding across the gray sky, and more trees appeared in that instant, as the bare soil was entirely covered with green!
A boundless forest had formed here!
The enormous tree that had broken through the house continued to rise, piercing into the Sky, its thick branches extending sprawlingly, with numerous green leaves growing from its branches, casting a vast shadow over the grassland!
His ears picked up more sounds, and turning again, he saw various small animals bustling across his sight, and his senses caught a denser vitality, the breath of living creatures!
"Hey~"
Tang Ye exclaimed in amazement, who would have thought that minutes ago, this place was a mere black space, now transformed into a realm where beauty permeates everywhere!
The grass on the grassland grew lush over time, becoming fuller, and soon flowers began to bloom, their myriad colors enriching the green land ever more!
Another dragon flew overhead, and further beyond, there was a numerous dragon flock! His eyes followed as the dragon’s wings stretched out, leaving two long trails in the Sky before merging into the flock. Their high-pitched roars added a touch of enchantment to this space, truly resembling the fairy tale worlds described in books!
The gray sky began to dissipate; Tang Ye caught a glimpse of azure before the obstructing gray quickly vanished, revealing a pure, blemish-free blue Sky, with scattered white clouds adding a touch of depth.
The bright sun scattered its rays across the land, slipping through the green leaf canopy, making this world more exquisite and beautiful.
Hoo~
Perhaps influenced by these scenes, Tang Ye’s mood significantly improved, despite zombies being characterized as "dark" and "filthy," he enjoyed these marvelous sights.
A squirrel stood ahead watching him, and he quickly became aware of the little creature, recalling the squirrel who operated the "crematorium" and its bizarre words to him. He attempted to wave at the squirrel, but surprisingly the creature was startled, uttering human phrases as it shouted, "He’s coming after us! Let’s run!"
Their voices made more squirrels appear and then vanish deeper into the forest.
Tang Ye smiled helplessly; however, it seemed he wouldn’t be transported elsewhere now. He thought of looking for Lu Xiaojie, as he needed to know what actions to take next. But turning around, he paused in surprise as somehow behind him stood a familiar building, a mere two-story building.
The building seemed familiar, and Tang Ye furrowed his brow briefly before recognizing it, isn’t this Mr. Pillay’s grocery store?
Yet, compared to the grocery store he knew, this building was entangled with numerous vines, vibrant flowers blossoming upon them, with a well designated for drawing water on the left, also covered with plants, and the small field beside it planted with various vegetables.
Though the grocery store was overtaken by plants, the flora didn’t make it seem abandoned; instead, it added to its beauty and suited more perfectly! The play of light and shadow felt incredibly comfortable.
However, this "grocery store" was no longer a grocery store as its goods had vanished, replaced by everyday items, transformed into a residential dwelling, and it seemed someone was inside?
"Lu Xiaojie?"
Tang Ye muttered, bearing the doubts in his heart as he approached the entrance, twisting the handle to open the door, and the first glance inside revealed the interior layout with numerous objects placed precisely where they belonged, eliminating any sense of disorder.
His focus didn’t linger long on these arrangements; instead, he quickly looked to the far right, where there was a table and behind the curtain, a silhouette with hunched shoulders could be seen.
