I Became the Mother of His Child
Chapter 341: Auntie, You’re So Kind
CHAPTER 341: CHAPTER 341: AUNTIE, YOU’RE SO KIND
Time actually passed very quickly. Xu Xiuxiu distinctly felt as if she had just become pregnant with the boy and girl twins, yet now, the siblings were already babbling and learning to speak. The Tangshui City Resort seemed to have just started construction not long ago, but in reality, it had already been completed, and the hotel, gymnasium, and leisure club within the resort were even ready to open for business.
New Year’s Day was a pretty good day. Thanks to Ye Hua handling various investments and contacts, the Tangshui City Resort saw high guest traffic on its opening day, and provincial and city leaders were even invited to participate in the ribbon-cutting ceremony. Fortunately, Xiuxiu had arranged large-scale training for the service personnel before the opening, which barely maintained order on the day of the opening. Otherwise, she figured she would have really had a headache.
Because a bunch of problems popped up on the opening day, Xiuxiu didn’t just leave the resort to manage itself and head to Imperial City right away. She was worried about unexpected situations at Tangshui City Resort, as everything was new and lacked experience. She had to be present, so she adjusted her schedule to stay a few more days and changed her plan of going to Imperial City immediately after New Year’s Day. However, she didn’t delay too much. Less than a half-month after New Year’s Day, Xiuxiu had everything prepared, then bought train tickets and took the three children to Imperial City.
Since Xiuxiu couldn’t take care of three children alone, Xu Jingjing also accompanied her to Imperial City, ostensibly to experience and see Imperial City and casually play for a few days. Then, Jingjing would return to Z City to take charge of Sichuan Pavilion.
The train journey from Z City to Imperial City was very long, taking a whole twenty-some hours, and it was the dead of winter. Xiuxiu wrapped herself up tightly, and fearing the children would be cold, she also bundled them up roundly. Even so, sitting on the train, they still felt ice-cold hands and feet, shivering from the cold.
"Sister, good thing I came along with you. Otherwise, how could you take care of three children all by yourself?" Although Xiuxiu had sleeper tickets, she was curled up in her bunk, still shivering from the cold, making it hard to fall asleep.
The boy and girl twins still slept a lot since they were young, and adding the fact that children’s bodies are warmer, Xiuxiu wrapped the two children tightly, and they managed to sleep obediently. The most troublesome for Xiuxiu was Song Chengguang. The little guy was full of energy as soon as he got on the train, and the key issue was that he didn’t listen to Xiuxiu. They boarded in the morning and she called him to eat steamed buns and dumplings at noon, but he acted like he didn’t hear, sullenly turning his backside to Xiuxiu.
Xiuxiu actually knew why Song Chengguang was upset and understood that the little guy had deep affection for Little Huang. When he learned that Xiuxiu was taking him and his siblings to Imperial City to find their father, he diligently packed Little Huang’s luggage, saying that he wanted to bring Little Huang along to Imperial City. With the three children and her own luggage already piling up, and having to attend to the three little masters, she had neither the time nor the energy to take care of a little dog. Xiuxiu dismissed Song Chengguang’s request to bring Little Huang without a second thought.
Song Chengguang was so angry that the word "stamping his feet" could be used to describe him. This morning, just before leaving, he hugged Little Huang and adamantly refused to let go, wailing and crying, being both coquettish and stubborn, seemingly determined to share a life-and-death bond with Little Huang. Xiuxiu, busy packing and preparing a stack of things, was already irritable. Seeing that Song Chengguang was still defiant, she couldn’t indulge his little temper anymore and swiftly grabbed him and gave his backside a good spanking on the spot.
In truth, Xiuxiu had wanted to do this for a long time. If it weren’t for Song Chengguang gradually growing up and understanding things better, making her feel that physical punishment wasn’t appropriate, she truly felt the urge to give him a good spanking every day – the age of defying all common sense to favor a dog.
After that, Song Chengguang just covered his little backside and stopped talking to her. From the start of the train journey, he silently watched out the window for the entire morning.
"Mm, you go and coax him," Xiuxiu agreed with Jingjing’s suggestion. She was grateful that Jingjing had come too. Otherwise, if she had to take care of the twins and deal with Song Chengguang by herself on the train, she felt she would blow up again and end up giving Song Chengguang another harsh spanking.
"Okay," Jingjing smiled and nodded, knowing that although Xiuxiu was annoyed by Song Chengguang’s mischief, she still cared for the little guy and willingly took on the task to comfort him.
"Cheng Guang didn’t have lunch, are you hungry now!" It was already two in the afternoon, the little guy should have been starving by now.
"Hmph." Song Chengguang responded to Xu Jingjing with a cold snort.
"Auntie has Babao Porridge and fruit cans here! Do you want to eat, Cheng Guang?" Xu Jingjing took out the items to entice the little guy.
Song Chengguang was obviously tempted. He slightly moved his head, glanced outside the window, and then turned his pouting lips back to look at the fruit cans and Babao Porridge. It was clear that he wanted to eat, but he pursed his lips tightly, not willing to say a word. After a long time, his aloofness finally collapsed, "I am mad at Mom. If Mom doesn’t apologize to Cheng Guang, I’m not eating Mom’s food, hmph." Song Chengguang declared that as a real man, he must stand his ground and not be easily seduced by food.
"But the food was bought by your Aunt! Won’t you eat it?" Xu Jingjing put on an innocent face.
Song Chengguang’s steely expression shattered in an instant, "Auntie bought it? It’s not Mom’s?" After swallowing his saliva, Song Chengguang stared blankly at the food, feeling his judgment being devoured by it.
"Yes! Auntie bought it. You’re mad at Mom, are you not even going to eat what Auntie brought?" Xu Jingjing put on a hurt expression, and then she began to put away the Babao Porridge and fruit cans, "Well, alright then! Auntie will put away the Babao Porridge and fruit cans."
"I’ll eat what Auntie bought, don’t put it away," Song Chengguang quickly reached out to grab a jar of Babao Porridge and then giggled, "Auntie, will you open it for Cheng Guang? I’m hungry." He smiled ingratiatingly at Xu Jingjing.
"Okay!" Xu Jingjing cheerfully opened the Babao Porridge for Song Chengguang.
Xu Xiuxiu couldn’t help but laugh at the sight of Song Chengguang’s antics, but as soon as he saw her smiling face, he immediately snorted at her and wrinkled his nose, "I’m eating what Auntie bought, not what my mom bought." He sternly and seriously made it clear that he was drawing a line between him and his mother.
"I know," Xu Xiuxiu nodded silently.
Only then did Song Chengguang haughtily accept the Babao Porridge Xu Jingjing had opened for him and voraciously dug in. Perhaps because he was so hungry, the little guy ate without any image to speak of, and before long, his chin was smeared all over. Normally, Xu Xiuxiu would have wiped it off for him, but seeing as a certain little person was intent on distancing himself from her, Xu Xiuxiu paid no attention to his messy state.
Xu Jingjing, acting the good Samaritan, stepped in to clean up the little guy.
"Auntie, you’re so nice. You’re the best auntie in the whole wide world." Song Chengguang immediately buttered her up with sweet words, then once again snorted haughtily at Xu Xiuxiu!
