I Became the Mother of His Child
Chapter 428: Conscience Eaten by a Dog
CHAPTER 428: CHAPTER 428: CONSCIENCE EATEN BY A DOG
Because of the inherent housing ideas of rural people, when Xu Xiuxiu suggested building a small Western-style house for the family two years ago, Father Song outright rejected it. So the bedroom where Song Tianxin lived was somewhat lacking compared to the room in front of her in the inn. At least this room was purely made of concrete and was warmly decorated. As soon as Song Tianxin stepped into the room, she was overly pleased and didn’t feel like spending so much money was a waste at all; she even thought she got a great bargain and happily settled in.
Song Tianxin thus settled down at Anxin Inn. She would go downstairs to buy some food when hungry and then idly watched television in her room, comfortably slacking off for two days. During this time, she didn’t even feel a bit of guilt that she should have felt after nearly hurting Song Yuan Yao’s child because of her push.
Her days were passing quite comfortably, and she had no intention to phone her parents back home. But after paying for three days of room rent, she still needed to go out to find food. As a result, when she went out for lunch, over two hundred dollars were mysteriously stolen and Song Tianxin, with empty pockets and no other choice, reluctantly borrowed the landlady’s phone to call home and complain about her plight.
Knowing that Song Tianxin’s money had been stolen by a thief, the landlady was somewhat displeased. But seeing how Song Tianxin casually pulled out hundreds of dollars, she guessed her family’s financial condition was not bad and kindly let Song Tianxin dine with her until her family members could come to pick her up and give her some food money.
Song Tianxin, of course, had no objections to this, while the landlady planned to charge a little extra. But who knew that one meal would lead to big trouble?
It turned out that the innkeeper had a son in his twenties, who, after graduating from junior high school several years earlier, loitered around eating and hanging out, occasionally playing cards with his gregarious friends and rarely came home to dine. Last night, he and that group of friends secretly watched an adult film outside. The young man, full of youthful vigor, was excited for long hours and came home in the middle of the night, intending to make some trouble with his mother to get some money and find a woman to vent his fire.
But he saw Song Tianxin at the dining table. Song Tianxin wasn’t very old or particularly beautiful, but she was a blossoming flower with the charm of her age, instantly provoking images from the film he watched earlier in his mind. The women in that film were the same age as this young girl in front of him, he thought, and having such a young girl alone in an inn probably meant she wasn’t from a good family. So he figured nothing would go wrong if he messed with her a bit.
So after breakfast, subtly probing the innkeeper for information, Chen Biao learned where Song Tianxin’s room was and nonchalantly knocked on her door.
"Chen Biao? Is something up?" Song Tianxin, still indeed young and although twisted in temperament, didn’t understand much about the opposite sex. Seeing Chen Biao, the son of the landlady who came to knock, she only showed confusion.
"Oh, Tianxin sister! You must be really bored staying in your room alone, let Chen Biao keep you company and chat," Chen Biao said with a smile, taking advantage of his decent looks which in the nineties could be considered handsome and dashing.
Song Tianxin was still too young and naively just starting to appreciate men, but she wasn’t foolishly unaware. Raised in the countryside, she knew well the precaution of mingling with the opposite sex: "No need, Chen Biao. My father is coming to pick me up soon. I’m going home."
"Going home so soon?" Chen Biao squinted his eyes, his words carrying a disappointment only he understood.
"Yes!"
"Then Brother Chen Biao will keep you company for a while!" Chen Biao was somewhat reluctant, feeling like the duck that was almost in his mouth had flown away, thus he wanted to struggle desperately.
"No, no need." Song Tianxin spoke up to refuse. Her feminine instincts told her that the development of the situation was not quite right, and while refusing she also wanted to close the door.
"It’s okay, Brother Chen Biao is also free right now. I’ll just hang out with you to pass the time!" Chen Biao quickly blocked Song Tianxin from closing the door, then showed his true thug nature. He forcibly pushed open the door while grabbing Song Tianxin’s arm and pulling her inside.
"Brother Chen Biao..." Song Tianxin was stunned.
"Good, it’s okay, just listen to me!" Chen Biao said with a smile, still grabbing Song Tianxin’s arm, comforting her while forcefully pushing her inside.
Song Tianxin sensed something was amiss and protested, not wanting to enter the bedroom. She twisted her steps, trying to walk out, but Chen Biao, unable to hide his true nature anymore, had already made up his mind. Even if nothing happened with Song Tianxin, he still wanted to experience the thrill of a young girl’s allure.
...
Xu Xiuxiu and the brothers Song Yuantao and Song Yuanming quickly located the Anxin Inn where Song Yuan Yao was staying. There weren’t many inns outside this time, and the address of the Anxin Inn was quite noticeable. When the innkeeper found out they were looking for Song Tianxin and saw the distinct refined demeanor of Xu Xiuxiu, she felt fortunate. She also congratulated herself on her keen eye, grateful that she hadn’t driven Song Tianxin away and had even allowed her to eat two meals for free. Taking into account her kindness, she hoped they would at least leave some money for the meals!
Yet, as the innkeeper was planning, leading Xu Xiuxiu and others to the second floor where Song Tianxin was staying, they suddenly heard a sharp scream.
"Ah! Madam, Madam..." Chen Biao’s thuggish aura frightened Song Tianxin, who immediately started to struggle fiercely and scream.
Song Tianxin was staying in a room on the second floor, and there were also a few other guests living nearby. Song Tianxin’s screams immediately drew the attention of other guests on the same floor. Everyone was of an older generation, and seeing the state of Chen Biao and Song Tianxin, they could guess what was happening. They looked at Chen Biao with disgust; people of those times were indeed very disdainful of thugs.
The innkeeper, a woman in her forties, immediately guessed that her own son was causing trouble. Yet, Xu Xiuxiu and others were behind her, and they looked like people not to be trifled with. In a blink of an eye, burdened by a headache, she quickened her pace.
"You haven’t let go yet? What is up with you, young lady? I saw that you were young and alone, with nowhere to stay or money to eat, so I kindly took you in. And this is how you treat my son, even scratching his face? Did a dog eat your conscience!" The innkeeper hurriedly approached, blocking Song Tianxin and then, pointing at Song Tianxin’s nose, she started to accuse her, evidently planning to go on the offensive first.
Song Tianxin, being pointed at and accused by the innkeeper, was momentarily overwhelmed. Over the past few days, she had always thought the innkeeper of the Anxin Inn was a good person, even better than her own family members by far. She never expected the innkeeper to have such a harsh and sharp side.
