I Became the Mother of His Child
Chapter 464: Leadership Talent
CHAPTER 464: CHAPTER 464: LEADERSHIP TALENT
"Okay, let’s go to Si Ya’s then." Everything was primarily based on Mr. Xu’s opinion, and since Mr. Xu had spoken up, they readily agreed. Besides, Xu Xiuxiu was confident in Xu Jingjing. If Mr. Xu lived in Z city, and lacked anything, she could help him buy it, and if money was needed, Xu Jingjing was willing to provide. Overall, it was a relatively good arrangement.
Having decided to let Mr. Xu live in Z city with Xu Jingjing, they settled his living situation, and then the sisters once again sat down for a lively reunion dinner. This time, truly, four daughters, four sons-in-law, plus a bunch of grandchildren and granddaughters were all present for the reunion.
However, the only person who felt a loss about Mr. Xu moving to Z city was Xu Fangfang. She actually knew that Xu Xiuxiu’s strong-willed decision was mostly related to her knowing about Mrs. Xu’s passing. So even though she was resentful, she didn’t dare to make a fuss, only regretting that she wouldn’t have Xu Xiuxiu’s monthly money coming into her pocket anymore. That money had made her life easier these past years, otherwise, with her family’s debt, how could she afford the small green-tricycles?
But what Xu Fangfang thought, nobody else cared about. Just like that, as Yuanhuan’s vacation time ended, the family packed up and left their hometown to return to Imperial City.
"Xiuxiu, you have to take good care of the three kids! It’s dry and cold in the Imperial City, you have to put more clothes on them, don’t let them freeze..." Mrs. Song stood outside the car, anxiously repeating various instructions to Xu Xiuxiu, many of which she repeated every year, but it still worried her every time.
"Mom, don’t worry! It’s cold outside, you should hurry back inside! We’re leaving now, call us if you need anything." Xu Xiuxiu nodded in response and then the car slowly started to move under Mrs. Song’s reluctant gaze.
"Hey! You all be careful on the road, and Yuanhuan! Drive slowly, don’t be in a rush!" Mrs. Song followed the car for a couple of steps, yelling out her instructions.
Seeing this, Xu Xiuxiu smiled and waved her hand. In the next moment, the car gradually left, disappearing into the distance.
Not long after arriving back in Imperial City from their hometown, school started again. Shi Yu, the kid, happily came over to Xu Xiuxiu’s house. The children’s lives had stabilized, and at the same time, the collaboration with Su Nuo before the new year had been put on the agenda. The jeans series had become a craze across the whole Huaxia, with almost everyone owning a pair of jeans, a prevalence that was almost exaggerated. And Xu Xiuxiu made a tidy sum from this, with a return on her original investment of one hundred thousand yuan coming back at an astonishingly fast rate.
In an era where millionaires were rare, as Xu Xiuxiu bought properties and managed her businesses, the numbers in her little treasury went up and up, making her feel that she had the potential to become an outstanding talent like the future chairperson of ’Lao Gan Ma’.
After returning to Imperial City, there was actually another incident that Xu Xiuxiu found particularly amusing, which was that Little Huang had unexpectedly become a mother. They had only gone back to their hometown for the New Year, and by the time they returned, Little Huang’s belly was already quite large. In the big city, even though many people kept dogs and pets, there weren’t many pet hospitals. Xu Xiuxiu had enquired about the timing and process of a dog giving birth and still couldn’t rest easy.
Knowing that Little Huang was having babies, the ones who were most thrilled were definitely the three children at home. Now, Song Chengguang’s temper had already become more like Song Yuanhuan’s—quite the master of not showing his inner joy outwardly. Little Baby was also excited, saying that now he could rightfully have a "doggy little brother," which made him so hyped that he amused Xu Xiuxiu to no end.
Of course, the absolutely happiest was Little Moon, without a doubt. At some point, Little Moon and our Little Huang had formed a strong bond of revolutionary friendship. Perhaps it was because Little Huang had heroically carried Little Moon on his back to complain to Xu Xiuxiu once. Anyway, Little Moon was especially excited, even wanting to pat Little Huang’s belly before going to school, saying, "Little Huang, I’m off. When I get back from school, the first thing I’ll do is hug you and touch your belly," and asking, "Have the doggy babies been good today?" The sight of her deep concern was also enough to make Xu Xiuxiu so happy she nearly lost her bearings.
And so, after a whole month of excitement, Little Huang finally gave birth to three little dog babies, tiny and with delicate voices. But at birth, the three puppies were all different colors. What amused Xu Xiuxiu the most was that among the three puppies, only one looked like Little Huang with yellow fur. Another was milky white, and one more was even more surprising, pure black without a single other mark, making Xu Xiuxiu want to take it and wash it, wondering if it had fallen into ink and gotten dyed.
Little Moon was very happy to see that Little Huang had given birth to three babies and eagerly volunteered to name the three little dogs. But this kid was quite casual about it. After conferring with Little Baby and Song Chengguang, the siblings finally agreed on the names for the three puppies: Little Xiao Huang, Little White, and Little Black. Okay, black, white, yellow—we completed the set.
Originally, she thought that with Little Huang having birthed three babies, there would be a busy time ahead. However, Little Huang took very good care of the three puppies, and with Little Moon’s solicitous help, the three little dogs grew strong and healthy. In less than a month, the three puppies had become plump and extremely cute.
"Mom, I’m taking Little Huang, Little Xiao Huang, Little White, and Little Black for a walk," Little Moon said on the weekend. After dinner, with nothing to do, she got ready to take the Little Huang Family out for a stroll.
"Okay! Be back soon, you hear? It’s still a bit cold outside." Little Moon had taken the dog family out for a walk before, and seeing him so happy, Xu Xiuxiu felt at ease and did not stop him.
"I know, Mom. We’ll just play in the garden downstairs." Little Moon nodded energetically, then called out to the dog family: "Little Huang, lead the way. Little Black, Little White, follow up, let’s go!" Little Moon commanded with a booming voice, full of vigor.
Perhaps because Little Huang had eaten the space fruit and had become so intelligent, the three puppies she bore also seemed to understand humans quite well. Every time they heard Little Moon’s call, the three adorable, clueless puppies would line up neatly, like a small troop, marching out the door in formation—one after another.
Watching Little Moon head out with the three chubby puppies and Little Huang, Xu Xiuxiu sat in the living room laughing uncontrollably. She even joked with Song Yuanhuan that Little Moon had a real talent for leadership.
But today, when Little Moon took the Little Huang Family out, it wasn’t long before he came back crying. At the same time, he was holding Little White in his arms, and Little White’s originally fluffy white fur was now stained with fresh, red blood. Meanwhile, Little Huang anxiously rushed over, biting Xu Xiuxiu’s pant leg. Little Xiao Huang and Little Black were also anxiously pacing around, barking loudly in a heartbreaking manner.
