CHAPTER 43: CHAPTER 43: A CUTE MOMENT, QUEEN’S NEW PLAN

The scene opens with a bright sunrise. Sunlight shimmers above the Sanatan Flame Sect, casting a golden hue across the entire mountain. The clouds glow with golden brilliance under the sun’s rays, creating a breathtaking scenery.

Shaurya sits cross-legged in the sect courtyard, meditating. Slowly, his eyes open, and a radiant smile appears on his face. He stands, stretches, and mutters,

"Uff... I am getting stronger and stronger. I will crush all of my opponents. Hahahaha!"

He walks toward the training ground, watching his disciples diligently practicing while elders guide them. After a moment, Shaurya returns to his room and sits on his bed. With a relaxed tone, he says,

"It’s been a while since I opened the system shop."

A golden window appears in front of him.

"Okay, let’s see... I have 620 Dharma Points. What should I buy?"

In front of him, several items are displayed:

[Immortal Heart Sutra — 200 DP]

[Lightning Long Sword — 100 DP]

[Flame Outburst Immortal Level Mid-Grade Talisman ×5 — 50 DP each]

Shaurya’s eyes shine in awe. "There are so many good things... Let’s see, which should I choose..."

As he scrolls through the store, suddenly his eyes light up with excitement.

Shaurya smiles. "This is amazing... a Spirit Body. Isn’t it’s the same used by that crimson beast sect master used. Hahaha! Superb. Buy!"

Shaurya’s joy grows. "I still have 220 DP. Let’s do more shopping!"

Then he sees something that makes him almost jump.

Without hesitation, Shaurya buys it.

"I don’t care even if I have to use my whole Dharma Points. Cricket is everything! Hail the Cricket!"

Scene shift:

All the disciples stare at the cricket equipment in confusion. Elder Wu tilts his head. "What strange things... I’ve never seen or heard of anything like this."

Lin Shu, puzzled, asks Shaurya, "What are these things?"

Shaurya chuckles. "These are cricket kits. The equipment is used to play cricket — a sport that was very popular in my homeland."

He then slowly explains about cricket. "There’s a manual in each kit bag. Read it, and you’ll understand the rules."

Scene shift:

Shaurya stands on the training ground with determination in his eyes, fully geared up in cricket equipment, pads, helmet,gloves,elbow gaurd, L-gaurd, holding a bat in a perfect stance.

The disciples are still confused but, after reading the manuals, try to play. Elder Wu stands behind the stumps as the wicketkeeper. Wang Tian holds the ball in his right hand, preparing to bowl. At the non-striker’s end, Lin Shu still looks lost.

Wang Tian takes his run-up, infusing spiritual energy into the ball before hurling it at full power.

Shaurya smiles, releasing his aura. The ball comes at him like a bullet from a gun — a full toss straight at his legs. Unfazed, Shaurya swings the bat. The ball rockets toward the leg side and vanishes into the sky, out of the Sanatan Flame Sect’s boundaries.

Everyone stares, dumbfounded.

Shaurya, overjoyed, jumps with excitement. In his rush, he runs to Lin Shu, hugs her, lifts her slightly, and spins her around in pure joy.

Her face turns crimson, but Shaurya doesn’t notice. He sets her down, places his hand on her shoulder, and says,

"You see it? I am finally able to play cricket!"

Lin Shu says nothing — her face is still burning red.

Shaurya glances around and notices everyone pretending to ignore them, looking away awkwardly. Confused, he looks back at Lin Shu and realizes what is going on and what he had done. In that instant, it hits him.

He quickly backs away, his own face flushing with embarrassment, and then runs off. Lin Shu also spins towards female dormontary and rushes to her room.

After their departure, the sect members can’t hold back anymore — laughter erupts throughout the sect.

Meanwhile, Lin Shu lies on her bed, face buried in a pillow, still blushing. She mutters,

"Shaurya... why does he always do something like this in front of everyone? And why did he lose his senses after hitting a ball with a bat? What’s so special about it?"

She hides her face deeper into the pillow.

In Shaurya’s room, he breathes deeply.

System pop-up:

You can fight with a whole army without a single sign of fear... but now you’re trembling just by hugging your own destiny partner?

Shaurya groans, "What’s so big about an army? I can fight the whole world alone... but..." He blushes, covering his face with a pillow. "I can’t hug her or be lovey-dovey in front of others. It’s so embarrassing."

System with expression less emoji.

Scene shift — Royal Palace

The Queen sits on her throne as soldiers and servants bow before her. She commands,

"Tell the Black Venom Assassin Organization — I will pay them one million gold tale. But I want the entire Sanatan Flame Sect dead."

A man dressed in a black robe and hood, face covered by a cloth mask, kneels before her. He nods and vanishes into the shadows.

The Queen laughs coldly. "Sanatan Flame Sect... this time, you are surely dead."

A woman in red armor standing at the right side of her asks, "Your Majesty, can they really complete the mission? The Sanatan Flame Sect is more powerful than we thought."

The Queen smiles confidently. "Rest assured. The Black Venom Organization has never failed in their tasks. Their assassins are cold-blooded killing machines. This time, no one can save them."

Scene shift — Sanatan Flame Sect

Shaurya gazes out of his window toward the training ground where disciples train earnestly. Jian Fan and his former bandits, now Disciplinary Hall members, also train alongside them.

Suddenly, the system window pops up:

1. Protect the sect from the Black Venom Assassin Organization.

2. Destroy the organization and weaken the royal family further.

Reward:

1. Divine Sword Art: End of Darkness (Immortal Level, High-Grade Technique)

2. 1× Divine Summon (Can summon an Inner Elder or Warrior above Golden Vein Stage)

Shaurya’s eyes widen. "Wait... what? That Queen sent a whole assassin organization to destroy us? Tch, fine..." He smirks. "I don’t care who they send — in the end, the victory is mine. Royal Family... just wait. I will end you soon."
