CHAPTER 56: CHAPTER 56: MUO QIAN’S PAST

Scene Start from the buzzing market of Blue Stone City. Filled with Peoples. Near a jewellery shop. The disciples sat around wooden tables, the bright sun light is glowing. Muo Qian sat nervously with her hands clenched upon her lap, her expression pale. Lin Shu sat close beside her, gently patting her back, while Wang Tian rested his hand reassuringly on her shoulder, his gaze firm with support.

Across the table, Shaurya casually lifted a cup, sipping his chocolate milkshake, his demeanor calm despite the tension that weighed in the air. After a brief silence, he finally asked in his usual straightforward tone,

"So, why did you get expelled from your previous sect? And when we first met... I saved you from some people in the Demonic Beast Valley. Were those from the Cloud Spring Sect?"

Muo Qian lowered her gaze and nodded softly.

"Yes, Master. Those were inner disciples of the Cloud Spring Sect. And the one sitting on that lion beast was a core disciple. They were hunting me... they almost killed me, if you hadn’t shown up."

At that, Wang Tian immediately stood, bowing deeply toward Shaurya.

"Thank you, Master, for saving her back then."

Shaurya waved his hand with a casual smile.

"It’s okay. After all, it’s my duty."

Lin Shu leaned forward, gently patting Muo Qian’s head. Her tone was calm and comforting.

"So, what’s the whole story?"

Muo Qian took a deep breath, her fingers tightening around her robe. Her lips trembled, and her eyes turned numb as painful memories returned.

"The new sect master of Cloud Spring Sect... is none other than my own uncle. The biological brother of my father."

Her words left everyone in shock. She clenched her robe tighter, her body trembling, tears pooling at the corners of her eyes.

"My father... was the previous sect master. But... my uncle stole the position from him. He killed—"

Her voice cracked as tears spilled freely down her cheeks.

"He killed my father and declared himself the sect master. All the elders and sect memebers supported him. They joined forces and killed my father..."

The tears streamed from her eyes like raindrops. Lin Shu immediately embraced her, holding her tightly, while Wang Tian’s fists tightened, his face erupting with fury.

Muo Qian continued through sobs, her words heavy with grief.

"My father and my uncle were both candidates for the sect master’s position. My father defeated him fairly and was elected as the new sect master. He ruled for twenty-five years and made the sect the strongest in Moon Bright City. My father was a cultivator of the Golden Vein Stage, Level 9. After becoming sect master, he married the woman he loved—my mother. They lived happily... until my uncle gained a chance to strike.

When my father was on the verge of breaking through to Nascent Soul... my uncle attacked. Together with the elders, he killed him. This was not too long ago—just around two years back. They captured my mother, but because of her sacrifice, I had a chance to escape. Since then, they have been chasing me. I almost got caught last time, but Master saved me."

Shaurya leaned back and casually raised a hand in a playful gesture, flashing a victory sign.

Muo Qian wiped her tears, then reached into her pouch. From within, she carefully pulled out a jade piece that glowed faintly with green light. She gripped it tightly in her palm.

"This... is half of a key. A key that unlocks the sect’s treasure vault. Inside lies countless weapons and techniques, passed down as inheritance to the true sect master. My uncle already holds the other half. That is why he’s chasing me. I cannot let this fall into his hands. My father entrusted this responsibility to me before his death. I will not let him down. I will rescue my mother from his prison."

Wang Tian’s eyes burned with rage. He clenched his fist tightly, his teeth grinding audibly.

"Muo Qian... as long as I am with you, no one can touch you."

Her head rose slowly, her tearful eyes meeting his resolute gaze. For a moment, their emotions connected silently.

Shaurya, watching the scene, placed his hand on Wang Tian’s shoulder.

"You already said this once."

Then, turning his gaze toward Xiao Rui, Lee Bie, Cheng Fang, and Zong Bu, Shaurya noticed tears in their eyes as well. The four disciples were visibly moved, their expressions heavy with emotion.

"Spread my order," Shaurya commanded firmly. "Next week, we are going to attack Cloud Spring Sect."

The words had barely left his lips when Wang Tian suddenly stepped forward.

"Master, I want to say something."

Shaurya raised an eyebrow, curious.

"Oh? What is it?"

With a surge of killing intent that filled the hall like an icy storm, Wang Tian turned his gaze to Muo Qian.

"What is the level of your uncle?"

Muo Qian blinked, tilting her head in confusion.

"Last time, he was at Golden Vein Stage, Level 3. If he has used all the sect’s resources and trained these two years, he should be at Golden Vein Stage, Level 5 or 6 by now."

Wang Tian clenched his fists tighter, his voice sharp with determination.

"Master... I want to fight her uncle."

Shaurya’s eyes widened in mild surprise, but then a smile tugged at his lips.

"Are you confident? That you can take him down?"

Wang Tian’s expression turned resolute.

"No matter what it takes, or how much effort it requires—I will take Muo Qian’s revenge."

Shaurya sighed, shaking his head.

"Alright then. The attack plan is cancelled. Wang Tian will solo—"

Before he could finish, Luo Chen stepped forward, his tone fierce.

"Hey Wang Tian, did you forget about me? No matter what, we are together."

Wang Tian turned to him. Their eyes met, and his fierce glare softened into a determined smile. Raising his fist toward Luo Chen, he declared,

"Let’s do this together, brother."

Luo Chen smirked and bumped his fist against Wang Tian’s.

"Brothers of Destruction."

Shaurya observed them with a warm smile, clearly proud.

"In that case, I guess we don’t need to take the whole sect. The core disciples will go to deal with the enemy disciples, and the rest will be handled by Wang Tian and Luo Chen."

But Wang Tian shook his head, his tone sharp with conviction.

"No need, Master. We both will take on the entire sect."

Shaurya tilted his head, raising a brow in disbelief.

"Really? Just the two of you against a whole sect?"

The two of them shared a confident grin.

"If we can’t take them down," Luo Chen said with a fearless tone, "that means we are still too weak."

Wang Tian nodded firmly.

"That’s right."

Shaurya let out another long sigh, resigned to their stubbornness.

"Fine... just don’t go overboard. If you need help, ask."

Both Wang Tian and Luo Chen bowed deeply in unison.

"Thank you, Master."

As they turned to leave, Luo Chen waved a hand back.

"We won’t let you down."

Wang Tian added with a warm smile, his gaze steady on Muo Qian,

"Trust me."

Her cheeks flushed, a warm smile blooming on her face as her heart fluttered at his words.

The scene shifted.

Wang Tian and Luo Chen descended in front of the Gravitational Training Chamber. The massive gate loomed before them, its surface engraved with ancient runes. The air around the chamber rippled faintly with oppressive force.

"It’s going to be very intense," Wang Tian muttered.

Luo Chen smirked playfully. "Don’t tell me you’re scared."

Wang Tian laughed while pushing open the heavy gate.

"We’ll see."

They entered the chamber, stepping into the crushing force of the 4th level, where gravity was sixty times stronger. The immense pressure pressed against their bodies instantly, yet both of them laughed in exhilaration, their battle spirits ignited.

Taking their stances, Wang Tian’s eyes gleamed.

"Let’s begin."

In the next breath, the two charged at each other with explosive force.

Elsewhere, Shaurya stood outside, his hands casually tucked into his pockets as he gazed at the sky above. The wind blew gently across his hair, carrying with it the scent of pine and mountain air.

Lin Shu approached from behind and tapped his shoulder lightly.

"So," she said softly, "the peace won’t last too long. Another battle is already upon us."

Shaurya turned his head with a calm smile.

"Yeah. But honestly, I’m happy I had time to spend with you. And besides... I’m too powerful for that sect. I don’t even care. This is still my vacation."

Lin Shu chuckled and shook her head.

"Yeah, yeah, Mr. Powerful."

They both laughed lightly, before Shaurya’s gaze shifted to his disciples. He watched as they gathered around Muo Qian, consoling her with warmth and kindness. His eyes softened.

"I don’t care what I have to do," he murmured. "I won’t let any member of the Sanatan Flame Sect remain sad. I want them to be happy. I’ll do anything for that."

Lin Shu smiled sweetly.

"I know you can. After all, no one knows you better than me."

With a playful wave of her hand, she said, "Alright then, I’m joining them."

"Oh, wait," Shaurya replied, grinning. "I’m coming too."

The two of them walked together toward the others.

"Shall we head back?" Shaurya asked.

Everyone nodded, and with a unified motion, they all rose into the air, flying swiftly back toward the sect.

The scene shifted once more to the Sanatan Flame Sect. Members began to gather in the main courtyard, their robes fluttering in the breeze. Moments later, Shaurya and the remaining group descended gracefully from the sky.

"Alright," Shaurya instructed, "you all explain the situation to them. I’m heading to rest."

Xiao Rui and his group nodded obediently. Shaurya walked toward his quarters, his figure calm and composed.

From a distance, Lin Shu watched him leave, her gaze thoughtful, before turning her attention back toward Muo Qian. With quiet steps, she walked toward the grieving girl.

Meanwhile, Shaurya collapsed onto his bed, exhaling deeply. At that exact moment, a translucent system window appeared before his eyes.

[What’s up, Host?]

Shaurya glanced at it lazily and closed his eyes.

"Your timing is perfect, Systu."

[Of course, I know. So... are you ready to receive your rewards?]

A bright smile spread across Shaurya’s face.
