Chapter 68: The Ashura BloodBlade
CHAPTER 68: THE ASHURA BLOODBLADE
Getting enough money from them made Ethan’s total gold reach 1,655,000, which meant he could buy about 33 bows and arrows from the equipment shop in town.
He didn’t have to worry about the price. He was already sure that weapon prices were the same between every shop.
That made him confident he could buy 33 rare bows and arrows with the gold he had now.
After finishing his business with the guild team, Ethan sheathed his sword and walked away from the forest.
Once his teammates were safe, they also left to look for a safer place.
Elsewhere, Ethan arrived at the top of a waterfall and looked down. The two guild teams he saw earlier were gone—they had gone their separate ways.
I wonder where Lara and the others are.
Still standing there, Ethan opened the digital map panel to check his teammates’ locations.
Four green dots appeared in the south, moving toward Arkan City.
Looks like they’ve finished their hunt for today.
Ethan didn’t plan to do anything else either. He already got the money he wanted, and his only goal now was to go to town and buy weapons.
He could hardly wait to hold the Ashura Bloodblade, a fire-element weapon that gave its wielder powerful strength and fast regeneration.
Maybe there were a lot of buffs Ethan could add to the sword later, but he’d only know once he had it.
Seeing that the area around the waterfall was safe, Ethan moved down in a circular path and jumped.
Now, he was fully at the base of the waterfall, no longer standing on the cliff above.
Lucky for him, there were no monsters or guild teams nearby as far as he could see.
Ethan kept walking, staying alert. His eyes scanned left and right, keeping watch for any threats.
There were about two hours left before sunset. Ethan walked alone through the southern part of the forest until, in the distance, he could see Arkan City, filled with players returning after their hunts.
Finally out of the forest, he was safe from danger. Still, Ethan felt uneasy under the stares of other players—especially those who had lost their weapons and money to him.
They were angry, annoyed, hateful, and cursed at him in their hearts. But that was all they could do.
None of them dared to act. They still wanted to last longer in this event, no matter the risk.
Ethan entered the city, ignoring the looks from others. His attention shifted to his right, where rows of shops were crowded with players buying supplies.
Again, Ethan didn’t like shopping in busy stores like those. There were plenty of quiet shops visited by only one or two players. That was the kind of place he preferred.
He stopped at the first shop—the same one where he had bought the rare bow and arrow for the first time.
The female clerk was serving another player, and once she finished, Ethan stepped up to the counter.
"Oh, you came back, sir," she said.
"Do you still remember me?" Ethan asked.
"Of course. How could I forget my own customer?" she smiled.
"Are you here to buy something?"
Ethan cleared his throat and nodded, clearly saying he wanted the same rare bow and arrow she’d shown him before.
The woman nodded, remembering the moment when Ethan, a warrior, had bought an archer’s weapon.
A floating item panel appeared above the counter, showing the weapon’s details.
[Item]
[Name: Bow and Arrow (Rare)]
[Cost: 50,000 Gold]
[Quantity: 1/50]
[Effect: +15% AGI || +10% STR]
[Buy it?] [Y/N]
The max purchase limit was 50 units, but Ethan only needed 33.
"I’ll buy 33 of those," Ethan said.
"Alright."
[Item]
[Name: Bow and Arrow (Rare)]
[Quantity: 33/50]
[Cost: 1,650,000 Gold]
[Buy it?] [Y/N]
After getting the confirmation panel, Ethan immediately pressed [Yes] to buy 33 rare bows and arrows for a total of 1,650,000 gold.
It was the biggest purchase he had ever made in this game—but he had no choice. He couldn’t steal others’ weapons anymore.
[Congratulations, you obtained an item]
[Item: 33x Bow and Arrow (Rare)]
[Talent Quest:]
[Number of Weapons: 100/100]
[Duration: 14:01:12:10]
[Quest Completed]
Ethan watched as the 100 weapons in his inventory floated in front of him, glowing red as they fused into one.
He was shocked, and so was the shopkeeper. Even though she was an NPC with a yellow cursor—a Smart NPC—she could still show human-like emotions.
Seeing 100 weapons melt together without a forge, powered only by some kind of dimensional aura, left her amazed.
Ethan kept watching the process. The red light wasn’t blinding like Seraphelis’s golden glow.
What’s happening right now?
The weapons continued fusing. Thankfully, no one else was there to witness it.
[Weapons: 70/100] [Weapons: 55/100] [Weapons: 32/100]
The quest panels kept popping up, showing the weapon count dropping as they merged. Now only 32 remained.
"What’s going on?" the woman asked curiously.
"I don’t know. But something big’s happening, I can tell."
Slowly, the number went down to zero. The final panel appeared, followed by another one.
[Weapons: 0/100]
[Fusion of 100 Rare Weapons successful]
[Congratulations, you obtained an item]
[Name: Ashura Bloodblade Ver. 1 (Legendary)]
[Buff: +75% AGI || +50% STR || Regen] [Locked Buff: Wrath (Ver. 2) || Dominion (Ver. 3)]
[Equip it?]
At last, the fusion ended, and the legendary Ashura Bloodblade floated in front of Ethan.
It was a longsword. Its hilt was white, formed from Ashura’s spine essence, while the blade was crimson with black vein-like patterns.
Both edges were razor-sharp—sharp enough to slice paper cleanly if it fell on them.
It was a deadly weapon made by the administrator, meant only for the worthy.
Ethan would now become the only player in this world capable of fighting against everyone else.
With the Ashura Bloodblade, his dominance was unmatched.
Ethan simply reached out his hand, and the sword flew toward him. When he gripped it, he could feel its heavy weight, different from the Fire-Pillar sword.
[Base ATK & DEF]
[ATK: 27,768 || DEF: 27,235]
A huge power boost came as soon as Ethan equipped the Ashura Bloodblade. The shopkeeper could only gape in disbelief at the miracle before her.
"Forging 100 weapons into one legendary sword? Is that even possible?" she asked.
Ethan smiled. He walked up to the counter and asked her to check the sword’s price.
She tapped the sword twice, and a new panel appeared. Her eyes widened.
"The price is... 10,000,000 gold?!" she gasped.
"Looks like it’s rare, even among other legendary swords," Ethan replied.
"This is the first time I’ve seen a weapon cost that much."
"There’ll be versions two and three. If it reaches Mythic rank someday, the price will go way higher," Ethan said.
"I see... this is my first time seeing a sword like that," she admitted.
Ethan smiled, summoned the Fire-Pillar sword, and handed it to her. He planned to sell it and keep the Ashura Bloodblade as his only main weapon.
I finally got the Ashura Bloodblade... time to tear Uruk apart!
