I can no longer hide the fact that I’m secretly dating a senior
Chapter 28 - Zheng Wanqing's girlfriends
Chapter 28 – Zheng Wanqing’s girlfriends
“Hey, girls, you’re here! We’re over here, over here!”
Seeing her long-lost girlfriends, Zheng Wanqing immediately waved excitedly to greet them.
These girls had all been Zheng Wanqing’s childhood friends.
Although their families were quite wealthy, their academic performance had always been poor.
Currently, they are attending universities with very relaxed academic standards.
It wasn’t that their parents weren’t willing to spend money or pull strings to get them into prestigious universities— It’s just that their grades were so bad that even if they did get in, they wouldn’t be able to keep up and would end up wasting the opportunity.
Despite their poor grades, the sisterly bond between Zheng Wanqing and her friends was still going strong.
It’s just that recently, Zheng Wanqing had been busy writing her thesis.
So she hadn’t seen them in over half a month.
“Girls, look! There’s Wanqing waving at us ahead!”
“Stop dawdling, let’s go over.”
“Once we get there, I’m definitely going to dig up some juicy gossip—like when did Wanqing start dating?!”
“She’s a total study queen and now she’s in a relationship?”
“Oh my god.”
“Didn’t you all say she wasn’t interested in guys, that she might be into girls instead?”
“…”
After the girls walked over, they greeted her.
“Wanqing, long time no see. You’ve gotten even prettier lately!”
“Wanqing, I missed you like crazy! A whole month with no messages from you—you heartless woman! Don’t love me anymore, huh?”
“Wanqing, didn’t we agree to stay single forever, grow old, and play cards under the sun at a retirement home together?”
“And now, you’ve gone and secretly got a boyfriend!”
“Hmph!
Woman of broken promises.”
The girls were still the same—teasing and playful as ever.
Ye Fei could clearly tell that their bond was real.
It was that kind of genuinely close friendship!
“Wanqing, introduce us to your boyfriend.”
“Your relationship has been a hot topic lately—not just at your school, but even people at our school are gossiping about it.”
“It’s causing quite a stir.”
“Not surprising though. If someone hadn’t leaked it, who would’ve guessed you were secretly dating!”
“And for three whole years, no less!”
“That level of secrecy is expert-level. Not applying to be an undercover cop is truly a waste of talent!”
Zheng Wanqing hooked her arm around Ye Fei’s and said, “Sorry, girls, I really didn’t mean to hide it from you. But you know how my dad doesn’t allow me to date, right?”
“So… that’s why. Anyway, I’m really sorry!”
One of her friends said, “Alright, alright! As long as you’re happy, why are you apologizing to us?”
“Better late than never, right girls?”
“Ye Fei, you better treat our Wanqing well, okay? Don’t bully her!”
“She’s never dated anyone before.”
“You’ve got to be extra nice to her, or our bestie squad will socially obliterate you in seconds.”
It sounded like a threat, but it really wasn’t.
Zheng Wanqing told Ye Fei, “Hubby, sorry, my girlfriends just like to joke around. Don’t take them too seriously.”
“Hey! Zheng Wanqing! Just because you have a boyfriend now doesn’t mean you get to abandon your sisters!”
“You can’t be so blatantly biased toward your boyfriend!”
“Don’t play favorites!”
Ye Fei could only shake his head helplessly.
“By the way, babe,”
Ye Fei asked, “That bestie of yours who’s graduating from Harvard Business School—hasn’t she arrived yet?”
“We’ve been here for at least half an hour.”
Zheng Wanqing looked at her phone. “You’re right. She told us to be at Linhai Port right at this time.”
“Hold on, I’ll give her a call.”
She made the call, but no one answered.
Zheng Wanqing turned to her friends and said, “Girls, try calling Yanyan. I can’t get through.”
They all tried one after the other. Still no answer.
Someone said worriedly, “Could something have happened?”
“Pfft! Don’t jinx it. Our Yanyan’s got luck and a long life—she’ll be fine.”
“Let’s wait a bit more.”
After more than twenty minutes, a cruise ship finally approached the dock.
It stopped at the pier.
Among the disembarking passengers was a girl wearing a sunhat.
That was Yanyan herself.
She was very beautiful and had long, slender legs.
“Dang, Yanyan, you’re finally here! We’ve been waiting forever!”
“You didn’t even answer your phone. Do you know how worried we were?”
“We thought something might’ve happened to you out at sea.”
Su Yanyan said, “I’m so sorry! There was no signal on the water, so I didn’t receive your calls.”
“Oh right, I heard Wanqing has a boyfriend now?”
“Where’s Wanqing?”
Zheng Wanqing said, “Yanyan, let me introduce you. This is my boyfriend, Ye Fei.”
Su Yanyan took off her sunhat and sunglasses and almost instinctively blurted out:
“Ye Fei??”
