Chapter 30 – That’s Because I Believe in You, Hubby!

“Yanyan, it’s been a long time. Ever since you went to study in the U.S., we probably haven’t contacted each other in three years, right?”

Ye Fei had just sat down beside Su Yanyan and was the first to speak.

“Cut it out, Ye Fei! Let me ask you straight—did you or did you not know that Wanqing is my best friend?”

Ye Fei quickly tried to explain.

“Enough, enough. Don’t explain. What’s done is done—what’s the point now anyway?”

Ye Fei asked, “Then why did you call me out here?”

“I wanted to ask you for a favor. About the stuff between us in the past—I hope you won’t tell Wanqing. I’m afraid she’ll overthink it.”

“After all, before I left for the U.S., I… confessed to you.”

“And I also… kissed you.”

As soon as she finished speaking, Su Yanyan took another sip of her drink.

Maybe this is what real life is.

You never know who’ll crash into your world the very next second.

Not long after Ye Fei left the bar, at the intersection on Jian She Road, He saw a girl standing under the streetlight waiting for him.

It was Zheng Wanqing!

Ye Fei walked up quickly and asked, “Wife? What are you doing here? Didn’t I just drop you off at school?”

Zheng Wanqing smiled and asked, “Hubby, did you settle everything?”

Ye Fei looked shocked.

From her tone, did she already know?

“Wife, please don’t misunderstand, I—”

Zheng Wanqing hooked his arm and they walked side-by-side down the city road at night.

“Hubby, you don’t need to explain. I understand.”

“Even though I don’t know exactly what happened between you and her…”

“So I guessed—something definitely happened between you two.”

Ye Fei asked, “If you saw that, why didn’t you say anything?”

“We’ve been best friends since childhood. I trust her.”

“As for you, hubby, I trust you even more.”

“We’re already legally married. You’re my husband. And as your wife, I should trust you unconditionally, right?”

Ye Fei gently pinched Zheng Wanqing’s cute little nose.

“Wife, you’re amazing.”

“And you, hubby, are amazing too! That’s why I’ve loved you so purely and devotedly all along!”

“So about you and her—I won’t ask. I trust you’ll handle it well.”

“Alright, this matter ends here. Come on, walk me to grab some late-night snacks!”

“Oh, right, hubby, there’s one thing I can’t figure out. Can you help me solve the mystery?”

“Of course. If I can’t tell you, I won’t. But ask anyway.”

“My sister told me… you’re hiding a big secret from me. She said you’re actually the owner behind Qingteng Bar. Is that true?”
