Chapter 40 – “You Call That Romantic? Isn’t That Just Being a Pervert?”

“You want to eat me?”

Ye Fei grinned. “Understandable. Your husband’s just that handsome, right?”

“But tonight you’re meeting my parents, so try to hold it in a bit.”

“Otherwise, they might think I married a delinquent wife.”

Zheng Wanqing rolled her eyes. “Have you ever seen such a pretty delinquent?”

“Yeah, I have. You.”

Hmph!

Zheng Wanqing pouted. “You bully! You said you’d be good to me.”

“Alright, enough messing around.”

“Go get ready. I’ll wait for you at the school gate at six-thirty.”

“Okay.”

Zheng Wanqing nodded.

“Good girl.”

After they got up and walked to the dorm area, as she was about to go back to her dorm, Zheng Wanqing stood on tiptoes and said, “Hubby, kiss me, please? Hug me.”

Ye Fei looked surprised. “Something’s not right.”

“You’re acting weird today.”

Zheng Wanqing asked, “How am I weird?”

“Usually, when I want to kiss you, you’re always reluctant.”

“What’s gotten into you today? So enthusiastic?”

“Oh~”

“Alright, I get it. No need to explain.”

Ye Fei smirked mischievously. “Before, you were just my girlfriend, so you kept it modest.”

“You were worried I’d think you were some kind of pervy girl, a lust demon.”

“But now we’ve got our marriage license, so you’re letting your true colors show, right?”

Zheng Wanqing blushed. “I’m not!”

Having her little secret exposed, Zheng Wanqing’s ears turned red.

Stupid hubby.

You could’ve just kept that to yourself—why say it out loud?

“So, are you going to or not?”

“Can you just be straightforward for once?”

Ye Fei laughed. “Do you want it or not?”

“Want! Of course I want to!”

Zheng Wanqing replied immediately.

And then, she suddenly realized something.

The male and female dorms, upstairs and downstairs, all the junior students were leaning out the windows, staring at the flirty scene below.

Even though it was a total PDA moment, no one could resist the sweetness.

One particularly dramatic male student even shouted,  “Someone dragged me out and executed me! Let these two enjoy themselves!”

Zheng Wanqing blushed even harder.

“You jerk! Forget it, no kiss for you. Bye! I’m going to my dorm.”

“Wait.”

Zheng Wanqing asked curiously, “What…”

Before she could finish, Ye Fei suddenly covered her mouth with his.

The two hugged tightly.

This scene—a full assault on single people— played out in full view of the crowd.

Many students filmed it and posted it on the university’s forums.

Plenty of Zheng Wanqing’s fanboys were heartbroken.

Their goddess had thrown herself into the arms of another man.

It was a heavy blow.

But one person took it even harder— Zheng Wanqing’s father.

Zheng Jianguo.

He had just taken a sip of tea and was lounging on the couch watching TV.

He casually scrolled on his phone. To keep up with what was happening at school, he had Zheng Wanyu help him install the university’s forum app, and followed Qingteng University’s official thread.

As soon as he opened the app, a video had already gone viral.

He clicked it open.

Good heavens—that’s my daughter Zheng Wanqing!

In the video, Zheng Wanqing was in Ye Fei’s arms, locked in a passionate embrace, followed by a deep kiss.

Boys and girls from the dorms all screamed.

The scene went wild.

The tea in his mouth—West Lake Longjing nearly sprayed everywhere.

That punk!!

Daring to do that to my daughter in broad daylight?!

Outrageous!

“Dad, what’s wrong?”

Zheng Wanyu, sitting beside him, noticed his expression change and took a peek.

“Whoa! Wanqing’s boyfriend is seriously romantic, huh?”

“Kissing her in front of both dorm buildings?”

“Wow, he’s got a game.”

“That’s so romantic.”

As a girl, Zheng Wanyu knew just how powerful that kind of scene could be for a girl.

But Zheng Jianguo definitely didn’t see it that way.

“You call that romantic?!”

“You sure he’s not just being a pervert in public?!”

“That brat is outrageous.”

“No way. This is too much. I’m calling the school.”

Zheng Wanyu said, “Dad, aren’t you overreacting a little?”

“Wanqing and her boyfriend really love each other. Shouldn’t a dad be happy about that?”

Happy?

Yeah, right! What the hell is there to be happy about?!

This was clearly public indecency.

After all, Old Comrade Zheng and the younger generation had a twenty-year age gap.

Different minds, different eras—it’s inevitable.

“How about this: I’ll recommend you two romance movies.”

“You can learn a bit about modern love.”

Zheng Wanyu suggested, and introduced him to two youth romance films.

After just ten minutes, Zheng Jianguo grumbled, “What a garbage movie. The girl’s so indecent.”

“And the guy? CEO of a major company at that age? Unrealistic as hell.”

But after over an hour, Old Zheng muttered,

“Actually… it’s not as bad as I thought.”

Another hour later—

“Wanyu, the movies you recommended are actually pretty good!”

“Got any more?”
